That was terrible. Ok, I get that we were rushed. In an airport. Running to catch a connection. But it just wasn't good. I thought an egg on a hamburger was a must try. Call it a check on a bucket list, a wild fantasy come true. Whatever...it ends up a novelty that wore off quickly. Very quickly. Fantastic service team and caring manager doesn't elevate this nightmare above two stars. Trust me I'm being most generous on this. The restaurant was clean (except the gross sticky floor). A couple big screen tv's and a huge window to watch the planes still leaves us at a two star rating. BIG TIP: Stop long before you get to gate C 44 of the Denver International airport to eat your breakfast. Don't be forced into eating here because it's the last place other than a coffee shop. I generally enjoy Smashburger, but this location was absolutely awful. Two workers were extremely unprofessional, making communication uncomfortable for me as well as other people around me. Our order was wrong the first time, I had to ask for all the items in my order by name, and after being promised that the new bag had all the correct items, I found out after I was at my gate, that it was incorrect again. I could not even eat the food I was given. This is not good business, particularly at an airport where you don't always have the time to wait for your order to be correct on the fourth try! read more

My first time trying Smashburger and was completely disappointed. My entire order was incorrect and it took 35 min to receive it. Also, the size of the burger was comical. Super small. Ridiculous! Half of my volleyball team also had incorrect orders as well. I'm giving Smashburger one star. I ordered a chicken sandwich and double truffle burger no cheese with fries and tatortots. I got a cheese burger and a double cheese burger with no fries or tatortots. I almost missed my flight too. There are many awesome burger spots like In N Out, Shack Shack, and Steak and Shake. I informed Smashbuger but probably won't hear back so I'll share my experience online. Management needs to do better. Waste of time and money. We all know how expensive the airport is too. Staff was rude, they didn't help, and my food was wrong and cold. I had a toddler on my hip while standing in line for 40 minutes. Once I went back for my correct over the wait was over an hour for two plain cheeseburgers and two fries from a fast food place. I ordered a milk for my toddler and they asked me to grab it from a fridge. No milk. So I asked for a cup of milk and they got annoyed that I didn't ask them for that to begin with. Waited for my late flight in Terminal C and saw this place and knew that it was newish. Terribly overcooked thin burgers and greasy buns and plate. The place was not being kept cleaned up and there was inadequate ventilation so burger smoke permeated. Cheese was tasteless, tomatoes under-ripe mealy plum tomatoes. I mean, what the ......? I like Smashburger... I really do... what I don't like is you can't just order a burger here.... everything comes with fries... The burger is your typical smash... but I just think they need to follow the rules of their other stores and let you order what you want. It's not cheap, a burger and fries goes for $12.00. My experience was a reminder of why you always read reviews first. I try not to leave too many 1 star reviews because most of the time the mistakes are honest and folks are short staffed during the ongoing pandemic. That said, I paid $25 (tip inclusive) for the wrong order (got cheese on my burger when I ordered a hamburger (stated clearly on the receipt) and fries because the cashier "couldn't change my order because it's already been entered). Will be avoiding in the future, which is too bad because I like to splurge on Smashburger every so often. read more

Came here thinking I'd get the good service other Smash Burgers usually provide. I wanted to try and stay healthy so I order a turkey burger. They tell me I have to order that next door at the bar. So I go to the bar and order a turkey burger on a lettuce bun to go. The server at the bar, a lady in her 50's, gives me a funny/surprising judgmental look and says "No bun?! That's going to be messy". At first I was a bit shocked as seeing lettuce-buns are a popular order nowadays, especially in CO known for their diet-friendly menus. When I received my food, they had put my burger in a plastic container that didn't seal completely. They placed this in the bag sideways so that all the juices leaked to the bottom of the bag, eventually ripping it. Was not happy with this. I missed lunch because of flight times, and I will be having dinner when I get home. Atmosphere - I sat at the bar. The best thing about this bar is there is an electrical outlet with additional two USB ports between each seat, so you get at least one electrical and one USB. Food Drink - The IPA were limited to one, and because I did not ask and not seeing the tap in the back set of taps I order a stout. I looked at the taps handles and found Yeti and it scored well on Untappd. $7 + tax, seems like a good price in any bar. Snack - SmashFries, something light to carry me to dinner. Funny that they serve them in a fry box on a plate, why waste that cardboard fry box. The fries had excellent seasoning. $5 + tax, wow I know I am in airport but wow. Every burger place has their own recipes and styles and I like them all. Smashburger has smaller patties imho but have great texture and juiciness. Their classic lettuce and tomato and pickle on a fresh soft bun is great. As are their Smashfries, with rosemary and garlic! Not sure about my breath when I leave, but life is short so grab for all the gusto! read more

LORY was amazing and made us feel special... and convinced us to try the delicious tater tots (best ever). Thank you for the egg sandwich minus the bread (which we didn't want to eat this morning). Eh, the food was fair - having the burger cover only 1/3 of the bun is the ultimate we don't care move. The wait staff didn't make eye contact with us for more than 1/2 an hour. I ordered via the "to go" counter when flying through Denver on a quick connection in July and was very pleased with the experience. The line was short and moved quickly. The woman who took my order was an incredibly sweet woman who treated me with so much kindness. In the midst of a travel day that I was just trying to "survive," she actually made the experience feel positive and put me in a great mood My food came out quickly and was delicious. I ordered the classic Smash and the Smashfries, which were both so tasty. The smashfries in particular were so good, although I definitely need a breath mask after all of that garlic flavor! We were not happy with this place...when we walked up the man at the counter was more worried about sexually harassing his young co worker than to help those in line...I did not want fries and they didn't give me an option it was tacked onto the already expensive burger and chicken burger I got...they charged me for tots and sweet potato fries which I ordered, they all tasted funny because their oil was old...& they over salted the burger and chicken sandwiches....just not at all happy with this place...when you're traveling and paying an inflated price for food it should at least taste good... read more

This morning I watched the "to go" employee exit the family restroom across the concourse from Smashburger and proceed straight back into the kitchen area. She bagged numerous sandwiches without washing her hands upon returning to the operation. This is gross to me. She very well could have washed her hands in the bathroom but she still had to use the handle to exit. Hand washing in the restaurant so customers can see provides a level of security and respect. It shows you're doing everything you can to make sure our food is clean. It's very typical of this restaurant to overlook things of this nature. They're at the end of C... "where else are you going to go?" DONT eat there. It's dirty and when brought to their attention, like I did, they laugh at you and make YOU feel like the one that has done wrong. read more

I had to remind her after I had gotten my food to bring me my sauce. Two people in my group had ordered a milkshake, it hadn't come out until about an hour of us sitting down. We had to remind another employee, not our waiter that we had a milkshake and had to remind our waiter THREE times. Milkshake took 15 minutes after our fourth time of reminding. Our waiter did not check up on us once, and didnt even glance at our table as she walked by. We had to ask her to take our trash. When we were trying to pay she walked by our table, stared at the check, and didn't once come back to let us pay and leave. We had to chase her down and ask her to take the check. I went to Smashburger for dinner tonight. Waited for 10 minutes for them to tell me that only the bar area was open for dining. I sat down and ordered a double smash and a chocolate shake. They said they have no ice cream so no shake for me so I just went with water instead with the double smash. The couple next to me received their burgers in 20 minutes but it was completely raw and they could only partially eat the meal. I proceeded to wait 45 minutes and then I am told that the kitchen has now closed and no food would be coming out. There was less than 15 people in the restaurant and they could not even serve that small set of customers. The restaurant was completely dirty and gross so glad I actually did not eat there. Do yourself a favor and eat ANYWHERE else. This is a poor excuse for a Smashburger and I will not be coming back. The sad thing here is that I never even got a chance to eat the food. Apparently making a burger was too challenging for this restaurant and that is all that they do. Looking forward to the next restaurant that will take its place. read more
