I ordered a Double Smashburger, large fries, and Bogo wings deal through Postmates. For the wings, I chose the garlic rosemary wings with ranch. It was extremely salty, even dipping it into the ranch didn't help. The ranch itself was tasteless and watery. I didn't get to try the burger, but my SO said it was too greasy and even In-n-Out was better. When I looked at the burger, it did look greasy and there was barely any lettuce on there. The fries were mediocre. My SO joked even McDonald's fries were better, but who doesn't like McDonald's fries All this came out to $45. Needed a refund because I work 911 emergency medical services and I got a call while waiting for my food. After the call, I called the store and asked for a refund to the card I paid with and they told me that I had to come in store and get a cash refund. I don't live near the area and I was covering that area for the time being. They told me to call back when the general manager got back from her 30 min break and I called back 45 min later and she still wasn't there. She then relayed the message to one of the employees to tell me that she and the crew doesn't know how to do a card refund and I should contact customer support. This kind of thing happens from time to time in this line of work and all the restaurants that I have been to have been very helpful and trained on how to do a card refund. I'm upset because she's a GM who doesn't know how to refund on card and it's gotten way too difficult to even get my money back. read more

Is it just me, or is the food here really salty??? Maybe I ordered on a bad night or something, but my tastebuds are overwhelmed by the saltiness of everything we ordered. How is that possible? I first got a taste of the Haystack Onions, which were nice and crispy; however, the saltiness came strong after the second one. I continued eating because I thought perhaps it's just that little area that salt settled in together, so I poured them out and it was salty all over! I took a break from the Haystack Onions and moved on to the Smashfries, and guess what? Salty! Like, what is going on here? I could taste the rosemary, but the salty aftertaste overpowered it. Anyway, then I thought maybe if I start eating the Colorado Burger, I would balance the saltiness from the Smashfries with it. Wrong again! Salt salt salt! It overpowered every single item I ordered. It was kinda sad because everything looked so tasty in the pictures and it was my first time trying this place. This afternoon was my first time trying Smashburger and I heard good things. There was a sign stating that due to being short staffed, the wait might be long (thank you for the courtesy of a warning!). When I walked in, there was a young African-American woman with a very short "fade" haircut who was working VERY hard and very fast. She finished her task, took off her gloves, took a deep breath, and gave me a big smile. I wanted to either hug her or help! She took my order, offered suggestions and went to work. The young lady brought my food to me promptly and offered other condiments, which she brought to me quickly. I almost felt guilty having her bring them to me as she was working so hard. I did not have cash to give her an additional tip but I wanted to. The food was good, but I was more impressed by the staff. During my order I was asked if I would like to take it to go or dine in . I said I would like to dine in , then the young lady said if you would like to dine in we would need to see your vaccine card . I said no problem , took about a couple minutes to show proof on my phone . Then after me, few other people ordered decided to dine in as well. However no one else was requested to show proof of vaccination. That was very upsetting. Management should make sure the employees treat all there customers equally . If your going to ask me to show my vaccine card you should be asking every single person. Not picking and choosing whose vaccine card you want to see. First time at Smashburger and let me just say I was blown away. Being a newbie I didn't know where to begin. The host Karina walked me through the ordering process. She was extremely polite and helpful. I ordered the big smash with two extra patties, bacon and cheese. The Big Smash was absolutely delicious. The single burger is so thick and juicy. Hands down this burger is way better than the competition. They cannot even measure. The Big Smash burger is all that and then some. Back to the host Karina. It is pleasant to see young people like her doing their jobs professionally. She was very patient with me while explaining the menu and she even came to my table to see if I liked my burger afterwards. Then as I left she told me "have great day and come back again." Hey management please give her some kudos for doing exemplary job!! So the food gets 5 stars and service gets 5 stars. I'm not impressed. My black bean patty was waaay bigger than the kid-size bun. Why??Common sense says the franchise needs to order bigger buns and give customers what they pay for. Why are the burger toppings so skimpy? I had one wilted piece of lettuce, 2 miniature tomato slices, and about 5 grilled onions on the patty. I didn't have to pick up my black bean burger to notice how flat it was. Smh! As for taste, the black bean burger had a slight spicy taste and was good. So I looked at all the other reviews and decided to try it myself. I ordered a Double Bacon Cheese Burger and an Oreo Shake. I loved the burger, it was bomb as fuck. The burger was full of flavor, juicy, and had the right amount of condiments to make the perfect burger. Now, the down side was the size of the burger, slightly expensive, but if you want an amazing burger, you have to pay for it. The fries are sold separate, but sometimes we don't want fries. I sometimes want onion rings and in most cases end up eating fries because they come in a combo. Like in today's case, I just wanted a burger and a Oreo Shake. I will definitely return and see if anything changes. But for now, as long as your willing spend a little to get a good burger, come to Smash Burger. Give it a try and post your thoughts. read more

What I used to like about this chain is that they had an extensive list of all the toppings you could use to customize your burgers. Not anymore; it looks like all the normal toppings (i.e. jalapenos, lettuce, and tomatoes) are part of a "secret menu." You only see a list of toppings that cost you extra money.
