Known Brian for almost 2 years now and he's pretty chill. I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and he has been working with me looking for a 7 seater SUV that fits our needs and wants (cold AC, spacious cargo, camping ready, long drive back and forth to Las Vegas). My current CR-V air conditioning constantly blows hot air and we know we couldn't last for this summer. He sold us a nice Tahoe that blows cold air conditioning for this hot summer and we are more than happy. After driving my 2001 Honda Accord into the ground. (God bless her she had almost 250,000 miles on her and a cross country road trip under her belt she was going to be put to rest.) I needed something new. I knew gas could go back up to four over night. This is California and gas prices do wacky things and are more volatile than anywhere else so I needed a Hybrid. I did a quick search on Cars.com and found a Civic Hybrid 2006 with 86,000 miles on it. for $7900. I bargained down $500 and they even gave me $1000 for the old road warrior. I really wanted to bargain down further but $6500 For a Hybrid Civic with only $86k. Already a terrific deal! Most Civic I was seeing online were like 113k for about $8000 and They weren't even Hybrids. They let me drive it off the lot using the old Honda as a down payment. Also looking around the lot I saw plenty of pretty good deals. There was beautiful Mini cooper that looked great on the lot for $7900. That actually looked like a steal. I can't say enough about this place. There is nothing "dealership" about the experience, from start to finish this is how every car buying experience should be. Taylor called the morning after I did a pre-application online and since I didn't have a vehicle, told me to just call if I needed him to send an Uber to come pick me up. I got there anyway, but that thoughtfulness wasn't just to get me in and sell me a car, it carried through the whole process. Taylor informed me beforehand that he was booked with other things and Gino would be the one helping me when I got there. I have less than good credit, work two jobs but am not on a typical payroll, and since I recently came from Northern California and belonged to a small (now closed) credit union, I thought it would be impossible to get any kind of financing, but because of the reviews I figured this would be the place to give it a shot. Gino listened to my situation and then showed me the cars they had that he thought he could get me approved for. I actually had a hard time picking one! I loved each one. Every car they have there looks brand new! Gino was really upfront about everything, a super cool and down to earth guy and I really enjoyed talking to him in the short 2 hours I spent there. He gave me some options with the down payment and even broke it into a few payments that were more manageable for me. Everyone there genuinely HELPS you instead of try and drain you for their commission like every other place I've been to. The whole thing is painless, and even enjoyable. There wasn't any haggling or gimmicks or sales pitches, I really wouldn't even call it a dealership. You go meet a cool dude who does some paperwork for you and hands you keys to a nice car, and says they're yours. I was 100% sure that for one reason or another I would be taking the bus home, so when I was able to drive home in my new Scion that is the nicest car I've ever had without panicking about the huge car payments I just signed up for...I haven't had such a good day in a very long time. About 5 years ago I got a great deal on a Yukon Denali from Taylor at Drive Smart Motors but since then I have gone from one child to three so my wife was in need of a bigger vehicle for all the car seats. Since the last vehicle worked out so well I thought I'd give Taylor a call to see if he had anything that fit the bill. I gave him a rough description of what my wife was looking for and he said to come on down because he may just have the car for me. Sure enough the vehicle was almost exactly what my wife wanted. Mind you at no time did I feel any pressure to purchase the vehicle. The staff were simply there to answer any questions or concerns and help in any way possible. Not only did I purchase the vehicle but I spent almost $1500 less than what I was expecting to pay for such a vehicle after much research online. The paperwork couldn't have gone any smoother and easier, I was out of there in no time and on my way home to give my wife her new (used) suv. And let me mention one more thing...since I drove my own vehicle to the dealership Taylor, THE OWNER HIMSELF, drove my car back to my house for me and took an Uber back to work. My fiancé and I came into this location and was greatly assisted by Allison October 26, 2019. We had traded in his hatch back Mazda for a Toyota Tacoma. Our visit that day went extremely smooth and seemed so painless. Unfortunately, somethings are really too good to be true. During our first visit, we were told to expect the license plates for the Tacoma to arrive within 4-6 weeks. My fiancé's driver's license was provided for Allison to verify the address the plates needed to be delivered to. (Note: Fiancé has resided at the same address printed on his Drivers License for decades... so there's no way we, as the customer, could have provided the wrong address) On December 5, 2019 @ 12:13p, I spoke with MIKE to follow up on the plates, and he specifically told me that he just received clearance from the DMV that day and should be in my hands within a week. By December 20, 2019 @ 11:03a, I spoke with MIKE once more to follow up since we Still had not gotten the plates. Once more, he reassured me that it will be delivered within an additional 1 more week and gave the excuse of "holiday season mail delay". Again, I said OK, we'll wait. But this time I asked if I can just verify the address he supposedly mailed it to. He confirmed the address... except there was no "South" between the house number and street name. With that, he SPECIFICALLY gave me the option to come PICK UP the plates at their location. I opt-in to go ahead and do so. He said they should be ready for pick up by no later than Thursday, December 26, 2019. I said it was fine and that we will definitely make the trip from Long Beach back to Orange JUST to pick up the plates, even after Christmas, and even after being given the run around. He said Great, I will follow up with you prior to 26th for pick up. Today, December 27, 2019.. STILL NO FOLLOW UP CALL TO PICK UP PLATES... STILL NO PLATES DELIVERED. Today, December 27, 2019 @ 10:08a my fiancé called MIKE to follow up. Mike gave him a USPS tracking number and ALL OF A SUDDEN, Mike states that the plates were delivered on December 21, 2019 to the address we provided. he then started to BLAME that we gave him the wrong address and that it was OUR FAULT and this situation is "out of his hands". My fiancé reminded MIKE that he actually told me to pick up the plates at their location on Thursday December 26th... Frustrated, my fiancé called USPS customer support. He provided them with the tracking number that Mike provided us... and the USPS representative confirmed that REGARDLESS if MIKE did not include the "SOUTH" within the address, the address the plates were delivered to WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO our home address... IT WASN'T EVEN IN THE SAME VICINITY! We called MIKE back today at 11:06am and told him the new information we just got directly from USPS, he continually BLAMED and kept stating it was OUR FAULT. After, we then contacted AAA since they had their own DMV department, AAA actually looked into the records and confirmed the plates were mailed out December 3rd. AAA gave us the option of getting replacement plates for $22 fee up front. At this point, To MIKE, who gave us not only a RUN AROUND but also had the audacity to BLAME us for "providing the wrong address", You got some darn nerve to do this to your customers... ESPECIALLY during the holidays. Own up to your own wrongs MIKE, be responsible for your own actions! Maybe that should be your New Years Resolution- OWNING UP TO YOUR OWN FAULTS. BUT THEN maybe you're one of those "New Year, Same Bullsh*t" type of person. read more

Just want to give a HUGE shout out to DriveSmart Motors! I went in last weekend to test drive a few cars and unexpectedly fell absolutely in LOVE with one from their lot. Alex was extremely helpful and overly accommodating throughout the entire process. My dad and I both went in and Alex was very quick to answer any questions we had. He was very upfront about everything and even offered a GREAT discount off the sticker price! I felt no pressure whatsoever from this entire experience which was definitely one of my main concerns with dealerships when shopping for a car. Alex was more than patient with me when I had to make a few phone calls to confirm my final decision. When I called my bank to get a quote the woman over the phone had even told me that I was getting it for below KBB and that it was a great deal. We were a little unsure about the location of the spare tire but after doing some research the dealership assured me they would order any necessary parts and within a few days I had everything I needed. They were very proactive with all of their phone calls and emails. I greatly appreciated that. There was also a tiny chip in the windshield and since I work out of the city and didn't have time to wait they told me they would reimburse me for the repair and within THREE days i received a check from the dealership!!!
