Absolutely amazing experience. Johnny was my initial point of contact, but Greg came to my home to represent them. ZERO low balling! I'm thrilled! Thank you guys for such an easy process! I will be a repeat customer! read more

Valley Car Group - Sold my truck with ease! Thanks! - Car Buyers Near Me - Santa Ana, California

Purchase employee sent offer (contingent on their on site inspectuioin) for our 2024 Toyota Highlander which we accepted. Several days later contacted by their field tech and agreed to Sat AM home inspection. Tech called to confirm his arrival next morning. Saturday morning received another call that he would be running late. Tech arrived 11:30AM and began a careful examination of the vehicle which besides hairline scratch on rear bumper was in pristine shape. Everything looked good and he said he needed to call HQ to sign off so we could proceed to bank to consummate deal. Became concerned when the call seemed to taking a long time. Eventually it was clear we would not make the bank as they closed at 2PM. Heard the tech explaining the vehicle had dealer installed leather seats etc. Eventually the tech came and said they had had "computer problems" and that the value of the vehicle was $3K below what they offered and acknowledged it was their mistake. They also threw the purchase employee under the bus and blamed her for the error. They withdrew their offer despite they had accepted and both parties agreed in good conscience. Responded that it was their mistake nonetheless and they should accept responsibility and proceed with payment. Needless to say the tech left after what seemed like bullying from his exec staff. Acknowledge this is high volume low margin business. Don't know what legal definition for Deceptive Business Practices" is but kinda fits the scenario. Understand they need to meet margins but also understand a deal is a deal. Cannot possibly recommend this outfit based on the sahenanigans. As an addendum just received another offer from these guys that is $4,500 less that first! Contemplating taking legal action against these bottom feeders. read more

Valley Car Group - Car Buyers Near Me - Santa Ana, California

Had never heard of this group before. Best price for my car. Less than 2 hours to complete transaction and I never had to leave my house. Cashiers check in hand and car picked up same day. Forget Carvana, Autotrader and all the others highly advertised sites. This is THE one. Matt Tang is professional, personable and so knowledgeable. He made what is usually "nightmarish" (‍) a 2 hour dream. I'll never go anywhere else. Thanks Matt for making this soooo easy! read more

I listed a car on Craigslist. Mandy requested for the VIN and details for the car. I said I would give her the info if she would send me a copy of the Carfax. She agreed to email me the carfax. 3 weeks later + 2 texts to Mandy = no response. Not exactly the kind of customer service one would expect from a business that wants to earn your business. Would not recommend. read more

I sold my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica to Valley car group. It was an amazing experience. From the start to the end, it was a very transparent, smooth and easy process. Matthew who came to inspect the car was very thorough in what he was doing, he answered all my questions patiently, very friendly and spent time and made sure I am comfortable with the process. These guys offered me $3,800 more than what CARMAX offered me for the same car. Thats a no brainer to me. I was tired of receiving all scam messages from different people posing as buyers etc, but these guys are super professional and you will feel very safe and secure. The final transaction held inside a bank as requested by me and as per my choice which is super cool. I highly recommend these guys for anyone looking to sell their car. They never put any kind of pressure whatsoever. I will go to them again if I ever have to sell another car. read more

Pleasure to sell my car to Matt Tang and Valley Car Group. Had two appointments with Matt, and he was early both time. Was respectful of my time, and made sure arrangements were convenient for me. He was honest, helpful, and just a good dude. Would sell another vehicle to them. read more

I am SO impressed with these guys. I had listed our Toyota Tundra on several sites, hoping to get the best deal. Reece reached out to me offering to buy our truck with no hassle. I thought, "right, when it comes to selling a car, there's no such thing as hassle-free." Well, I was wrong. Reece sent his partner, Ryan, to our shop to inspect the car. Their offer was very fair and after we agreed on a selling price, it was easy-street from there. They promptly worked up all the paperwork and issued us a cashier's check. No BS, just good, honest guys providing excellent service. I was so pleased with them that I have already referred several family members to them. Thank you guys for making the process of selling a car so easy and stress-free! read more

This was the most bizarre experience, but overall super painless and straightforward. I listed my truck for sale on 3 separate markets. I received a message from Anna at VCG that they were interested and had some questions about it. They sent me an offer based off of the reports and pictures that was reasonable and we scheduled a time to go to a Chase Bank and check it out. Jackson looked it over, made some notes, and we re negotiated based off of things that weren't in the Carfax or the pictures for like a minute. He still gave me a fair offer and wasn't trying to low ball me and his concerns were valid (some rust that required a little more work than they intended). We came to an appropriate and fair price. I waited in line with him at Chase - they cut me two checks. One for my vehicle pay off to my bank and the other to me. Then he followed me over to my bank to pay off the vehicle and cash the check that he gave me. We filled out paperwork and they picked the truck up that night. Super easy - very legit. Seemed almost too easy - I was always under the impression that if it seems too good to be true, it is. But this was the exception, it was all legit. If you have the opportunity to work with them, I recommend it. read more

Just sold my old car to Valley Car Group. The first offer was very fair (not typical when dealing with a dealership). Not only were they professional, courteous, and up front with me; they made the entire experience smooth and easy. Definitely give these guys a call if your looking to buy/sell a used car. Thanks again Freddie! read more

I posted my Audi A4 on autotrader for sale and after talking to a few "sketchy" sounding individuals I got a text from Valley Car Group. I was about to just go the easy route and do Carmax but I'm glad I went with Valley Car Group. Jake made the process very straight forward, was communicative, and brought all of the necessary DMV documents in order to transfer the title. After a quick inspection, he offered me a fair price and I agreed. The entire sale took about 40 minutes. I'd recommend Valley Car Group to anyone who who wants to get a slightly better price than Carmax and not deal with the hassle of test driving your car with a bunch of people. read more

This is my 2nd review of Valley Car Group. I had an amazing experience with Reece helping me out in 2015, so when I decided to sell another car this week (11/20/18) I gave him a call. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to buy my car this time but that's because he did some research and found out I got scammed when I bought from Abramovich Motors in Murrieta, CA back in May 2016. Reece found undisclosed structural damage on my car. He went out of his way to help get information for me, and provided advice on how to report this fraudulent transaction I was the victim of by Abramovich Motors. Valley Car Group you guys do great work and it's thanks to employees like Reece who are honest, committed, and are really just trying to help you with your car even if there's no profit involved; no games. I will definitely recommend Valley Car Group to anyone who needs help selling a car, and I'll be back next time I need to sell one. read more

I was skeptical when Valley Car Group contacted me through Autotrader about selling them my Jeep Wrangler. The local Jeep dealership sent an email offering "top dollar" for the car, but that turned out to be a complete wast of time with a very low offer. So before responding to VCG I did some research online and read their reviews. Decided to send them my bottom line price and told them that if they were interested they were welcome to come see it. Two days later we met at the bank, agreed to the price and did the transaction there. Ryan had all the necessary DMV paperwork, made the process very easy and definitely saved me the hassle of dealing with various issues that come up with private party sales. Highly recommend this company. read more

Valley Car Group - Car Buyers Near Me - Santa Ana, California

I posted my car for private sale to Offer Up and was contacted by someone I assumed was shopping for himself. He was nice and pleasant and agreed to meet but upon arrival he told me he works for Valley Car Group and sells these cars to other people. He inspected my car, made a call, and came back with an offer 1800 less than KBB would give my car in "fair condition". My car is in Good condition but I searched to see the lowest going rate for my car. This is a deceptive practice because this company is tying to turn a profit on my car which is fine but the rep should have identified himself prior to me taking time out of my day. He was trying to get a wholesale price. If I wanted to accept wholesale offers, I wouldn't be selling it myself online. I annoyed that I wasted my time. Be up front about your intentions. read more

This company makes it so easy to buy your car it feels like a scam. I was so skeptical of the entire process from beginning to end. I didn't trust them even to come to my house to look at my truck. I scoured the internet to find if this company was legit and IT IS! Matt was the one who came and gave me a quote on my car. He drove to my area and made it so quick and easy. I thought I was going to get a lowball offer for my truck, and explained to him even before he came that I didn't want to waste his time or mine. But he insisted that he had to come and look at the truck to give me a quote. So he did and I knew I could sell my truck for a certain price. The offer he gave me was extremely fair and didn't low ball me. After that we drove back to my house and Matt went to the bank. After like 30 minutes we met at my bank so that he could give me the check for the balance on the vehicle. It was a cashiers check and I deposited to make sure it was legit. It was. But even after that I was not at peace yet, because he still had to pay off what was left on the loan of the truck. I signed paperwork and he showed me the check for the balance. I then snapped some pictures and we headed back to my house to snap a picture of me in front of my truck. He congratulated me and he assured me everything was fine and somebody came to pick up my truck. The following day he sent me the picture of the fedex tracking and receipt for the check he was sending to my auto finance bank. I was still uneasy, so I texted Matt and asked him if "this was legit" and he said I didn't have to worry. But of course we always have the worst in mind cause all the bad companies out there. I called my auto finance company and they confirmed they received the check. It took 4 days for my balance to show it was in the clear. Valley Car Group is amazing! They are truly doing everything right! The process was so simple, so easy and so smooth that I just couldn't believe it. Thank you Matt and Valley Car Group! read more

I change cars all the time so I sold a lot of cars before and honestly, selling my car to Valley Car Group was the best, smoothest and easiest transaction I ever experienced selling my car. I dealt with Matt Tang for this transaction and he is very knowledgeable and very professional. They called me on the phone and we agreed on the price then Matt came to inspect and look at the car, once they found out that everything was exactly how I described it on the phone we finalized the deal at the price we agreed on the phone. The next day Matt had everything all the paperwork ready and we met at my bank and it literally took like 15 minutes and we were done. I recommend Valley Car Group for a very professional easy selling transaction. read more

Matt made the entire process smooth and easy. He had the paperwork ready to go so it took 5 minutes to wrap everything up.

Been trying to buy a bmw for a few weeks. Saw one on craigslist listed under (FOR SALE BY OWNER). After texting this guy for 30 minutes he tells me hes a dealership and he has to charge me taxes and stuff. I told him to remove his listing from personal side and stop deceiving people trying to catch customers using false advertisement. He said yea I told you about it, after wasting 1/2 an hour of my time???? I continue to see this car listed in the personal section. After reading some of the reviews, these are probably crooks who look to LOW ball someone for their car and try to RIP off someone else for their money. Not an honest service. Besides, their deals are not great by any means. If you're looking for a car, stay away from these people. First impressions are terrible for me personally, and i would hate for them to rip someone off. Use your cash to make a "REAL" deal with a "REAL" private seller. Not these crooks... if you're someone who's getting bothered by them, you can call Consumer Affairs or the F.T.C (Federal Trade Commission) if they're soliciting you undauntedly. read more

Texted me for my VIN and mileage and then gave me a joke of a low ball offer 15k under blue book. What a waste of time. Yes it is true. Asked me about the VIN number and mileage for my car posted on the Craiglist. Then offered a price which is $1500 below Kelly Blue Book's Dealer Trade-In Price. I believe it is a legitimate business. My #1 concern when selling to a car buying company like Valley Car Group was how legitimate they were. Scott and Reese were definitely that, plus generally courteous and on top of their game. They patiently navigated the security checks I wanted to go through (accompanying them to mail out the rest of my loan payment to Bank of America, confirming cashier check legitimacy, etc.). A heads up that the overall process was clunkier than it needed to be, due to 1) VCG not being as familiar with Bank of America's loan payoff process as I would have hoped and 2) them training a new rep on my deal (he made a few flubs that I caught, but that ate up time). I assume both of these things will be ironed out as they mature as a company. I'd recommend VCG to a friend for sure. read more

This place is awesome. I too, am in the car business. I know the ins and outs, and these guys delivered. They were the highest around when it came to a cash offer. Thanks to Matt for being professional. I will definitely refer you to the people who come my way. Good looking out, guys. In addition, some of you are saying lowball offers. Keep in mind, every dealer/buyer is different. Don't go by what KBB is saying, because KBB dont buy vehicles- they're all about marketing. If you received a low number on your vehicle, there are two reasons. Reason 1: you might have no damage done to your vehicle and it requires little or no recon, but your vehicle doesn't spark an interest so to the high day of supply your vehicle has and it would take forever to sell- which means, they would have to sell it a great price in order to make a deal. They won't take the chance on giving you more than wholesale if they can't sell it. Reason 2: your vehicle has damage done to it that requires a lot of attention. Some people just say "oh, it's a scratch." No, it requires a lot of work just to fix it- you gotta spend money in order to sell it. People always think their vehicle is perfect; even though it has scratches, low tire tread, smokers truck, etc. would you buy a vehicle like that? Even mine had damage, and I knew they would need to do work on it. Always do your research before selling a vehicle. Just because you see your vehicle going way above book- and you decide to sell that that high price, doesn't mean you're gonna get it for that amount. A dealer can put their asking price to 100k for a Honda if they wanted to- doesn't mean they're gonna sell it. So, don't be mad, just because you assume that it's a lowball offer- to be honest, it's more of a realistic offer. Always get a vehicle that's gonna hold its value. read more

I listed my car on Craigslist and was contacted by Valley Car Group. Matt and his counterpart met me at my office in San Diego, thoroughly inspected my car and we came to an agreement on the value of my car. My car loan was paid off within the week and I walked away with a cashiers check with the remaining value that day. It was the easiest and most convenient transaction I've ever had! Matt was extremely up front and professional about the whole process and made me very comfortable from the beginning. I would recommend working with this team and would do it again! Valley Car Group - Car Buyers Near Me - Santa Ana, California

I had a great experience with Reece from Valley Car Group. They contacted me (yes, via text) after I had posted my car on Craigslist. They did ask for the mileage and VIN but that is standard when someone is diligent before buying a car. My car had some damage, but even then I wanted to get a fair offer. They initially appraised it for an amount I thought was fair, and then they came back with a really low one. I knew my car was worth more, so I countered with the offer that I had gotten from Carmax. In the end, I got more than Carmax had offered, Reece was great to deal with and I never once felt like I was unsafe or dealing with someone sketchy. All I would say is, yes, they did came back with a low offer at one point, but if you know what you are doing and are willing to negotiate, you can get a really good and painless deal. I can't speak for anyone else in the group, but Reece knows his business and was great to work with. Would definitely work with them again. read more

They were equipped with all the appropriate paperwork to streamline the transaction. Thank you Valley Car Group for a great experience in selling my car. The staff I communicated with was diligent. The people who complained about this company are really S-out of luck! Because I too was iffy selling to a dealer! BUT MATT made it very quick and cut to the chase, not ever did I feel like he was in it to rob me or bs me! I first received a text probably from a general # that sends out texts about my ad on craiglist. But then Matt Contacted me and was so kind and eager to come look at my car. I was very impressed with how thoroughly he checked my car and quick he was at his job! He was very friendly and professional the entire process. He offered me only $500 less then what I wanted but much more than any other person on craigslist which was a plus!! My favorite part probably about the whole experience was Matt was able to present me a cashier's check the next day and had all the paperwork ready for me. All I had to do was sign a few papers , snap some pictures of the documents for copies and my car was sold within 30 minutes or less! I was iffy about this company but please give them a chance I promise you will not be disappointed. For those complaining please remember you cant sell a crap car and expect top dollar for your car! Take Care of your car and when you are ready to sell you will be happy you did! I sure am! I will definitely recommend Matt and Valley Car Group to my friends for the strong offers they provide, extreme ease of the paperwork, and their proven reputation. Do not be hesitant to work with them!. Thank you again Matt I really appreciate it! Thank you Valley Car too! read more

I was very hesitant about the process at first, because there are a TON of scams out there when you're trying to sell your car. The offer they made me wasn't quite what I was asking for, but it wasn't totally unreasonable. They did text and call me quite a bit, but I've worked in sales, so I know the deal. Mandy was my main contact, but Matt was the person who came to inspect the car. He was very polite and personable. He inspected my car for a long time. At the end of it he made a very fair offer, called my credit union with me (the car was still financed) to get the dealer 10 day payout, and then he went to the bank to cut a cashier's check for my credit union and a cashier's check for me for the difference. He handled all of the DMV and transfer paperwork, it ended up being super easy. Something tells me that the people complaining about low offers probably had unrealistic expectations about what their vehicle was worth. I probably could have sold the car for a little bit more through a private party, but ultimately I was given a good offer by Matt, and the process was super easy and efficient and I didn't have to deal with the headache of a private party. Valley Car Group will be my first step next time I need to sell a car. Thank you! read more

I'm leaving California for school and needed to sell my Nissan Juke fairly quickly. Like most I posted an ad to craiglist, and as expected received offers that were lower than what I was looking for which I completely understand. Then I received a call from Matt from Valley Car Group while I was working. He said he would be able to meet me at my work instead of me having to meet him somewhere. I was extremely skeptical about working with a car company as I've had a lukewarm experience with Carmax. He came on time, and was an extremely cool guy. I even learned some things about how his company works, how selling usually goes, and even funny encounters he had on the job. I was very impressed with how thoroughly he checked the car. He told me the all the positives of my car while pointing out certain blemishes that I hadn't noticed, which would reduce the value. All in all he offered me much more than any other person on craigslist which surprised me! My favorite part probably about the whole experience was Matt was able to present me a cashier's check within an hour and had all the paperwork ready for me. All I had to do was put my signature down on a few papers, snap some pictures of the documents for copies and boom my car was sold within a few hours! I will definitely recommend Matt and Valley Car Group to my friends for the strong offers they provide, extreme ease of the paperwork, and their proven reputation. Do not be hesitant to work with them!. Thanks again Matt and VCG! read more

Hello. We were contacted by Reece. He was interested in our 2016 F-150. It was for sale on kbb and autotrader. He made a great offer by email, but i was skeptical since most the time that offer will go down as soon as you talk to someone. He was good to his original offer and we made the deal. Surprisingly it was really easy to do the deal. Since our truck still was financed, Reece went to the bank, made a cashiers check for the balance and sent in the paperwork we signed to chase overnight. The check arrived Friday and the payout was done by Monday afternoon. It was much better then Carmax or a local dealer. Reece and his partner were really excellent. Thank you again. read more

Have to admit, I was fairly skeptical when they contacted me about purchasing the Toyota Tacoma I'd listed on Craigslist. However they were very professional and went the extra mile to put my mind at ease. I dealt with Reece on the sale of my vehicle, and he was very accommodating. He traveled from Irvine to LA, even went out to Barstow to get the necessary paperwork signed, and all within a couple days. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable by having the money in place before taking possession of the truck and the title. Plus they gave me a very fair price on the truck, especially considering that they're reselling the vehicles they purchase. Only thing better than Carmax is a mobile Carmax.
