My opinion: David is amazing. I found him here on Yelp and loved the idea of working with a fellow Westsider. Now that he's finished fixing my computer, I love the idea even more. When I was running through all issues I'd been having with my mid-2010 MacBook Pro over the past 3 months, he was citing the same things the Mac Geniuses on the phone were telling me as they tried to fix my machine. I also appreciated that when I first called to set up my appointment (to replace my crotchety hard drive with an SSD and put in new RAM), he told me exactly which brands/types of replacement parts to get--which my online research all backed up exactly. Things got more complicated than either of us expected once he opened up my computer, but David was patient, fast, and determined to get my computer working right, whatever it took. You need to have serious trust and faith in someone who is playing with your precious data, and that's how I felt about David. David has been such a HUGE help to me over the last 3 years! When I first moved to my new house in Altadena, he came over right away and helped me get my TV, phone and data networks all set up. I am not very tech savvy so it is great to know that I can call on him for help whenever I need it and he responds quickly and professionally and gets the job done! He has helped me on numerous occasions with everything from my home entertainment system, online set up to general computer issues, like compiling all of my e-mail addresses into one main account and adding a new printer on my computer. I am so grateful to have David as my computer tech. He has been helping me for several years, mostly with computer issues; as well as replacing printers, modems, phone systems, etc.. There is great comfort in being able to call a professional-person, who is always friendly and always professional. He has proven to be capable of repairing nearly every device that requires technical expertise. I run a small home business, so I have needed to call David for major computer repairs, as well as smaller jobs, (Such as installing a new modem). My very reliable MacBook Pro suddenly, simply wouldn't start up and I instinctively called Dave. Sure enough he quickly and thoroughly diagnosed the problem and I was really impressed with his expertise. Dave is great, has helped me a few times. He brought my old macbook to life that I thought was gone forever. Think he mostly focuses on apple products but he did fix my pc desktop and a couple laptops over the years. Very reasonable in his hourly rate and always tries to save money by finding cheapest option available for parts.
