I have tried this restaurant 3 times before with reasonably good satisfaction. Maybe I am getting older and crankier. This restaurant was just not as appealing despite having good company. I was looking for breakfast meal for visiting friends. I yelped and rediscovered this restaurant. My friends enjoyed the foods. But I had enough to know what's better for me. And this one was more disappointing than ever. First. What's good about this place? It was clean. Service was reasonably good but the foods took a long while to come out (while the restaurant was only 80% full). Luckily we had iPhone to entertain ourselves. The new American pastime. I have Huevos Rancheros. Boring. Very boring. Spicy but yet boring. No flavor except salty and spicy hot. It was the cheapest breakfast "entree" for $6.99. I can get the same in mom and pa shop, or Denny's for a lot cheaper than that. And what did I get for $6.99? 2 eggs and lots of carbs: tostada shell, tortilla, and baked red beans (no rice). My friend have toasts full of butter. But I found the coconut syrup (in orange color) very interesting on the toasts. It's tasty but full of sugar... So diners, it's not the same as I recall it. I don't know how this place has 4 stars. I gave it one star cause you can't give it zero stars. They advertise the German pancake, well don't bother not worth waiting for it. I guess my expectations were too great. I asked the waitress if they had maple syrup, she said yes, well when I got it it was NOT maple syrup. The employees need to know the difference if they are working in a restaurant. My husband got the chorizo eggs BENEDICT, the egg is supposed to be poached, not hard boiled cause that's how it was. Great diner! Quick service! Good food! I was going to give them 3 stars, but the food just tasted so fresh they get another star for great produce and presentation! It was crowded but we didn't have to wait for a table and the servers were wonderful. Our server was super sweet and my coffee cup was never empty, which made me VERY happy!!
