Only bad experience I've ever had with this franchise has been at this location. I ordered wings, like I usually do, and when I got home and eagerly opened the box, I discovered they had forgotten to pluck the feathers off half of the wings. "Disappointed" was an understatement. If you hate your job so much that you leave feathers all over someone's order, then go work at McDonald's--at least I would expect something like that from them. This reflects poorly on the management as well for hiring someone who would serve food in that condition. I called and sent an email, but never got a response. It wasn't worth the drive back. Wingstop will have my business from now on, even for tenders. It'll take a Christmas miracle for me to ever come back or stop talking about this experience. read more

Ok, I dream about their chicken. The hot, bbq honestly it's more wet dream when I think think about this place. The fried pickles, the wraps for when I need to eat a bit healthier but honestly this is my cheat day go to. Delicious food and down the street from my house. I've ordered the party platters for my co workers at hospital. Solid Chicken tenders but missing a few small things to really elevate the place and have you crave it. The chicken tenders themselves are nicely flavored and have light breading which is good. They are a bit on the smallish side. The sauces we tried were hit and miss. Garlic Parmesan -not good. Honey mustard- good. Slims sauce - not good. Slims needed a bit more mayo to make it creamier. The toast was dry. It really needs some butter or garlic butter to make it really good. Fries were okay. We did enjoy the strawberry cheesecake in a jar. Very nice. Service was very good. read more

I just recently moved to Texas and this was my first time trying slim chickens. I was unaware that they had a drive thru, so I ordered curbside pick up(because I didn't want to drag my 3yr and 1yr old out of the car). I arrived at curbside pickup and checked in and stated the spot I parked. I waited 10min and no one came out with my food, so I checked in again thinking maybe it didn't go through. I waited longer and still no food. So I had to drag my kids out of the car and go get my food that has been sitting there for 25 minutes from the time they said it would be ready. The cashier handed me my food and an empty cup. I was unable to get my drink as my hands were full with my food and 1yr old (hence the reason for curbside pickup!) The guy never offered to get my drink or apologize for the inconvenience. So on top of all that by the time I get home. MY FOOD IS COLD AND SOGGY!!! Thanks for great experience. Had Slim Chickens for the first time today. I ordered the strip/wing combo meal. They didn't include the side that I ordered (Mac n' Cheese) but did include fried mushrooms (didn't order). Everything else was great. Mushrooms were pretty good and the chicken strips and wings were perfectly crispy and juicy. I had the wings dipped in honey bbq and got buffalo and Blue Cheese as my side sauces. Everything was perfect. Flavor and texture were amazing. I ordered for a free delivery on line. After placing 3 meals with extra sides I was told I was out of the delivery area so I went to pick it up. I went the Slim Chickens on Troup. I pulled in and called, they didn't have my order!! I had ordered from the Broadway SC!!! The young man was very nice he said he would go ahead and take care of my order and he took a photo of my 2 page order with his phone and 5 minutes later he brought the food out!! The billboard touting "Life changing chicken" was all we needed to entice us to seek out Slim Chickens during a visit to Tyler from San Antonio. I didn't think I was hungry (late lunch on the road) but I couldn't resist chicken and waffles. Soooo glad i ordered them! The 4 chicken strips were lightly breaded, steaming hot and deeeelicious. The waffle -- Texas shaped! Loved it. I recommend getting the butter and syrup on the side. Oh, there is sugar free syrup available too. Yay! My husband got a chicken plate that came with chicken strips, fries and choice of 2 sauces. The list of sauce options was extensive! The restaurant we visited appeared to be very new. I have refuse to give them anymore of my money every since I got lied to several months again about fixing the problem that happened on a visit to the restaurant. The food is pretty consistent I can't complain too much about that every now and then the chicken comes out greasy and not fresh and the fries a little soggy or cold but other then those times the food can be consistent the only thing I feel needs major help is management and customer service, On several attempts before I gave up they have failed as a company with that. read more

The food was amazing, although the gravy was very watery. I believe the young woman's name is Jennifer. I would like to commend her but that would be horrible of me because her customer service is terrible. She was very rude. And the couple I came with accidentally broke sign that has numbers on it, she kindly took it away but then rudely through it away like she was upset. As a fellow customer service employee I recommend her to not show up to work with an attitude. Checked this place out today around 7 pm with my family of four. It's Friday night and the sauce is right! Ok I tried the chick plate with 3 tenders, toast and had potato salad instead of fries and I'm not sorry. It was delicious and hot and tasty and I loved every bite. The sweet Chili sauce was so good! It reminds me of the 3 pepper sauce that Arby's used to have but discontinued sadly enough. The chicken tenders were golden fried deliciousness, the potato salad had bacon in it, need I say more? Nope, but I will. The toast was just right. My daughter enjoyed the chicken and waffles immensely and didn't leave a crumb behind. I wanted to lick the bowl the potato salad was in, but alas I could not humiliate myself in that way. My husband and son tried the Slim plate with 5 tenders, fries, fried pickles and toast. All the sauces we tried were really awesome. Honey BBQ, honey mustard and ranch. I already mentioned the Sweet Chili sauce, please I need more of that in my life, for real! Dining room was clean, a few families eating happily, Restrooms are clean as well. No complaints and the dessert in a jar is a must try! My family of four ate here for $36, that's a good deal! We stopped for lunch to try for the first time. We had the chicken wings and chicken tenders with fries. Also the coleslaw and potato salad. We liked the wings and the garlic dipping sauce. The sauce so much that we purchased a pint of it. We really like garlic and this would make a good basting sauce. The tenders were small with a light batter. They were moist and flavorful. I love the food at any Slim Chickens. I am a frequent customer to both Slim Chickens of Tyler, Tx. However, today I went to the one on Troup Highway and bought a meal but I forgot to mention the "free kids meal" (Sunday kids eat free) for my child at the time of placing my order. After I washed my hands and received my food I went back to the cashier and asked if my child could have the free kids meal. I explained I had forgotten to mention it when I placed my order, but one of the cashiers refused to give me the free kids meal. She said that she couldn't give it to me because I was supposed to have asked for it to begin with when I placed my order that I payed for. Look, I understand that there MAY not be a button to push in the register (I am not even sure, I am just guessing) that can give customers a "free kids meal" without placing an order for a PAID meal ---for obvious reasons (to prevent employees from giving out free meals to random customers). However, for the sake of "customer SATISFACTION" I am sure that she could have taken the next customer's order that did not have a child with them and added a "free kids meal" to their receipt (since it obviously won't cost that particular customer any extra cash), and then gave me the kids meal. I mean I am a very frequent customer--- they know my family by face already at both Slim Chickens. I'm very disappointed. I had declined a friends invite to go eat at another place solely because I knew that if I went to Slim Chickens INSTEAD, then I would get a free kids meal, where as the other place I would have to pay for my child to eat. I ended up paying extra to get my child some chicken tenders because we were refused the kids meal even though I did buy a full meal a few minutes prior. :-/ I just think that is very stupid. Quite frankly I AM VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE TODAY from the TROUP HWY slim chickens. read more
