Visited this location on 8/2 at approximately 1330, to have lunch in the middle of my workday. First time ever visiting a Braum's at all. Couldn't tell where you're supposed to order, nothing clearly labeled, just a bunch of people congregated around the counter couldn't tell who was in line and who wasn't. Made my way to the front to try and order, one girl took some orders ahead of me and as soon as I was next they moved off to the ice cream side where a bunch of their employees, 4 or 5 seemed to be crowded around one ice cream creation, unsure why that many staff are needed for one order but sure. Then when one person from the back, made their way to the front, did not greet me, did not apologize for my wait since id clearly been standing there a number of minutes. So I abruptly made my leave from this location and made my way to Mcds where at least I know what kind of service to expect. If any managers read this or corporate you need to do better, better training, better presence of mind in your staff, heck better line organization so people know where to go for what. As this was my very first time visiting one of your locations, this will also be my last, no point in going out of my way to be treated like I don't exist right? And be sure that I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone that asks, Hey is Braum's alright to go to? I will give them a firm and emphatic No. read more

The ladies room had trash all over it & was generally dirty. The ketchup dispensers had bugs flying all around the spigots, the trash cans all 4 of them were literally overflowing. The burgers were good but I hope I don't get sick. Will never go to this place again. read more

I stoped at the braum's on Troup an loop 323 an ordered bisques and gravy. to start with , it was placed in a container made for a hamburger. the bisques were stacked on top of each other. then to make it worse , the bisques were hard as a rock. Every 3rd ice cream is empty - "we're out" is the response to several options. As I am being handed my distant second choice, the flavor I requested is refilled. No option to wait, no explanation, no apology. Service mindset is so rare. And, within another minute, the ice cream my 5 year old granddaughter was told they were out of was also replenished. Workers could not care less I was there. I knew that as soon as I ordered that my simple order "#2 cheese and mayo only" would be too tall of a task for them. I love Braums but the service at this location is absolutely the worst I've received from Any of the Braums I've been to. The staff has the worst attitude and act inconvenienced when an order is placed. They disregard the posted store hours and have refused to take an order 30 minutes before closing. The ice cream is great but I'd suggest getting a carton instead of a cone..... cones are always subpar and certainly not worth the 35 minute wait they provide The staff is excellent and very generous with the free eye rolls and heavy sighs they provide in addition to the poor attitude everyone has. read more

Ice cream! This is the place. Braum's has always been an east Texas creamery for me. Better than DQ or any other similar place in the area. I don't eat meals there but they do have good milkshakes and they've always been tied with BlueBell. Now, I know there have been some challenges for BlueBell but if you can set that aside, this place has good ice cream deserts. Today I had Vanilla Golden Hershey in a waffle cone for $1.61. Great value for a nice treat. Not some high end organic foo-foo place where you spend $10 for a 1/2 pint of some perfume named sweet - just good old fashioned ice cream like you had as a kid. read more

This place is hit and miss. I want to love Braum's but they are slow to get the food out and today I was told to pull up "just waiting on fries". I waited for ten minutes and actually considered leaving but I had already paid. I started backing up my car to the window when someone walked out with my order. The burger I asked for no onions had onions on it, no dipping sauce that I asked for and the fries were cold. Everything was cold actually. The chicken strips taste old and are always dry and over cooked. The cherry limeades are a big reason why I go, they taste fresh and my burger was good, just no prepared the way I asked and not very hot. I had another restaurant in mind but it was packed so I went to Braum's instead but it would have been faster to wait in line at the first place. This is the new location on Old Jacksonville. The customer service is horrible!!! The employees are friendly, but have absolutely no common sense. I ordered a sundae at the drive thru and was asked if I wanted it made like a different one on the menu. The person taking my order did not seem familiar with their menu. When I got to the window, I was asked to pull ahead to wait. I specifically asked for my sundae to be put in a bag, it was brought out without a bag. Just being carried by an employee. I asked for a bag and he seemed so confused by my request that I just told him to forget it. You would think during Covid, food service employees would have the sense to put your food in a bag! I didn't even get a bag after asking for one! Of course I didn't feel like my food had been treated in a sanitary manner if it wasn't even in a bag. It went immediately into the trash when I got it home. $4 wasted! I will not be visiting this location until the employees are trained! read more

This is a recently new-build Braum's on Old Jacksonville Rd in Tyler TX near my home. The food is good but the drive-thru has had great difficulty with accuracy since day one. All of the following has happened to me in just a few months. If you order two burgers, one with mayo and one with mustard you will either get two burgers with mayo or two with mustard. You may or may not get ketchup with your fries. If you order #2 the double quarter pounder with extra cheese, extra lettuce, extra tomato, and bacon you will have to repeat your order 4 or 5 times and go over each extra item in exacting detail and your order may or may not be right. This happens every time I order the #2 with extras. If you order bacon you will always be charged for bacon but you may or may not arrive home with bacon on your burger. They offer a free small shake upgrade with any burger combo. If you upgrade the shake from small to medium or large you may get a small shake. If you order a low sodium burger they do not have it. They add the salt into the meat and the meat is very salty. At Whataburger you can ask for no salt and get it. If you want onion rings they do not have them. If you order medium fries you may get small fries instead. They may or may not put ketchup in the bag usually there is no ketchup. The staff is always courteous but you never know what you will find in your bag! read more

I've going to braums since I was a kid. It use to be my favorite place. Now everytime me and my family go the drive through is alwaaaays long. Today after I paid I sat at the window for 5 minutes waiting for my order. It looked like there wasn't even anyone working the drive through. When you go inside it is no different. Multiple times now I have gotten my food cold. I have continued to go here because like I said it use to be an amazing place. When my wife asked about burgers no one said anything about them being short staffed and just told us to wait. Braum's used to be the go to place and has been for YEARS.....for burgers and fries......AND ice cream, be it by the container OR from the soda fountain in the store. Went there a LOT! The last time we were there, ordered a "Chicken Bacon Salad" supposed to have the greens, cucumbers, feta cheese, white meat chicken and bacon.....with dressing, crackers and cottage cheese on the side. Have had it several times, was good..........BUT the last time got just the salad, no chicken, no bacon, no feta.......and I took it up to the counter and spoke with a young man, manager, that I'd never seen before......he was pretty cocky and said he'd replace it........some kid came out a few minutes later with the EXACT SAME SALAD.......minus the chicken, the bacon etc. etc..........do these people even pay any attention anymore? About two months before this, I stopped in for a burger on my way home from some appointments.........the burger tasted kind of funny. When I looked at the meat, it was GRAY.........I mean gross slimy GRAY.....and tasted terrible. I was tired, they were busy, I just threw the thing away and walked out! Store closes at 10:45 PM, I pull into the drive through at 10:30 exact. (I've worked in fast food, and I know it sucks having last minute customers) The lady informs me that the drive through is closed, but that the lobby is open for "two more minutes" weird but okay no problem. I park and go inside, she asks if I want ice cream, I said no ma'am I'd like to order a burger please. To which I'm informed that they are no longer serving food, but I could get ice cream, or she offered an already made chicken sandwich or that they "might be able to make fries" at this time it's still before 10:35. I said I thought y'all closed at 10:45, to which she very rudely says "yes, but we've already started 'pre-cleaning'" which as I said, I've worked in food before. I understand it's misfortunate. But you aren't CLOSED until 10:45. This location is awful as it is, but I was hungry and wasn't going to make it across town to the other location before close. Corporate needs to peek into this store. Poor management and even worse employees. read more

The problem was that I order 100 breakfast tacos yesterday for this morning and when I got there they hadn't even started causing me to be a half hour late to my appointment. I've always enjoyed braums food and ice cream and I still do. I enjoy the taste. But their service on the troup hey location is ridiculous. How does someone hand several drinks to someone through drive through and not put ice in the drinks? And we ask for a drink carrier and they hand us all the drinks individually and then hand us the drink carrier after. So basically they are expecting us to place the drinnks in ourselves as our hands are full. This is not the first time we have had customer service issues at this location. This is just the incident from today. Step it up braums. Your service should be as good as your food. read more

This Braums location is the worst in the Tyler area The store is always nasty when I go in. The NIGHT CREW, Manager included, always looks like they are not interested in the work they do. It always takes forever to get our food when we visit. Food tastes old and nasty. The lobby, restrooms and counters always look nasty. We saw small bug like roaches crawling across the floors our last visit. Something better has to be done. Management seems like they just dont care. This use to be my families favorite location in town, but after our last visit we will NOT be returning to this specific location. The Managers need to do better and hold their lazy workers accountable for the way this place operates in the evening. They should not be sitting down on the job when this restaurant is as nasty as it is every time we enter after 5pm. PLEASE DO BETTER! We love Braums and always have. But this location needs alot of work at night specifically. This location gives the strong Braums name a bad look seriously. read more
