The kid loves Andy's in Dallas so when she saw that there is one in Tyler, it was a foregone conclusion that we would go. The whole operation is similar to Dallas, including a very long drive thru line. The kid got her favorite with different types of chocolate--sauces, pieces, sprinkles, I really don't pay close attention. The main thing is that she loved it and was happy. I have a feeling that every time we visit Tyler from now on we will a visit to Andy's on the agenda. read more

My favorite ice cream to get from Andy's is the turtle sundae! It is so good and the perfect treat on a hot day. The service is always amazing too, all of the staff is very kind. read more

Wish they had this back home! We all ordered different items for ourselves and tasted each others. My brother really liked the strawberry chocolate shake he had. Can't remember the names of everything. So creamy and surprisingly not too sweet. Good price and no wait! read more

I was visiting from out of state and wanted something sweet after dinner. Andy's was perfect! Fast and polite service, excellent dessert.

I have been ordering the same concrete at Andy's for years, vanilla custard with chocolate syrup, banana and peanut butter. Today, it took the employees at Andy's in Tyler (S. Broadway) three attempts to get the concrete mixed properly, then they had the nerve to tell me that I needed to order with extra toppings to get it mixed correctly. I'm no amateur with Andy's...this store needs to retrain or cull bad apples if they want return customers... read more

I love Andy's! We always stop by when we come to Tyler and it never disappoints. Customer service is always great and quick. I always get two; one for now and one to freeze for the next day or two and the one I freeze is still awesome. Today I got their limited time flavor cookie butter for now and the cookie Casanova (no core/jackhammer) with peanut butter for later. The cookie butter is yummy, but only get it if you love cookie butter because it's a strong flavor. Cookie Casanova and pumpkin pie still reign supreme for me but I had to give CB a try and I don't regret it. You can go through the drive thru or go to the walk up window. There's places to seat while you enjoy your treat. Join Andy's rewards program and remember to check in with every visit to collect points to earn a $5 off reward. read more

Everything! The frozen custard is delicious and the concrete are the best. Personally, I usually get a medium butter pecan. Yommy!

One of my favorite if not favorite treat stops! Andy's delivers time after time with their creamy homemade vanilla concrete and delectable flavorful mix ins... it's hard to go wrong. Pro tip: if you have a nut allergy be sure to tell them, they make the entire item from scratch using clean utensils. I usually love Andy's and expect it to Be really good since it's not cheap. Got the peach dream concrete today: no caramel, peaches were tasteless, and could not detect the malt that was supposed to be in there. So basically I had vanilla custard with cold chunks of tasteless fruit in it. Next time I won't wait to the middle to see if I can find the flavors that are supposed to be in there! read more

I always get the stolen brownie sundae. My brownie is always warm and fudgey, the pecans are perfectly salted and roasted, and the hot fudge just brings it to utter perfection. Sometimes I add caramel when I have a hankering for that extra sweet tooth. Note: Everytime I have ordered it I'm always asked if I'd like to keep the pecans on, that shows excellent training in the store and consistency. read more

Visiting my family here in Tyler, TX and my uncle's RN mentioned Andy's known for their frozen custard! Every time she sees me, she asks me: Did they take you to Andy's yet? So, today was the day! We went to Andy's, through the drive-thru. There was a long line of cars just waiting for this famous frozen custard, well known here in Tyler. I decided to try out one of their specials - the strawberry shortcake sundae! I love strawberries and shortcake, so obviously this was the choice! I also ended up trying Andy's banana split. By the time we got to the window, the gentleman at the register was friendly and outgoing. The service was quick and we got our orders in a matter of minutes. The shortcake in my sundae was absolutely delicious. Mixed with the sweetness of the strawberries and the vanilla custard - just a wonderful melody of flavors in my mouth! The banana split was also quite delicious if you are looking for a more traditional treat. Definitely recommend! It was delicious. Decently priced. And the staff was super friendly! read more

For a desert 'treat', recommend visiting. We enjoyed a stop in transit on a Saturday afternoon. 1. The traditional appearance was appealing, for a drive through or order and sit outside. 2. The staff were courteous and efficient. 3. Good selection of frozen / chilled deserts. At reasonable pricing. If we are in the area, we ll make an effort to return. read more

Food is good, service is good and ambience is good. If you come to Tyler, it's a must to come here. Very iconic place.

Try the BlackBerry waffle cone milkshake I love it!! It's just the right mixture of sweet and refreshing

The ice cream / custard is great. Hands down, but the service is awful. I have not once ordered when there is a line, and had my order come out correct. Once I got a small, when I ordered a medium, and the girl working the register lied to my face and told me it was a medium. I confronted her and said I've had a medium before, this isn't a medium. So then they replaced it with a medium, which was only 3/4 of the way full. Awesome experience read more

While the girl helping us at the window didn't know if Andy's is local to Tyler, that was not a dealbreaker. Each of us ordered something completely different and they were all unique and very tasty. The texture of their custard is very good and our order was ready very quickly. Yum. read more

Andy's Frozen Custard has been slinging some of the best desserts in Tyler for generations; and there's honestly no reason you shouldn't be coming here as regularly as your waistline allows. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Andy's is an establishment, and it's a well oiled establishment as well. Day or night weekday or weekend, you can be in and out of Andy's or through the drive thru in no time with your treat of choice, and the folks are fast and friendly. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? For $5.89 I got a medium concrete that, while not a bargain, also wasn't a price gouge by any means. The rest of the menu is priced accordingly. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? What an excellent dessert this was. The Boot Legger Concrete has all the essentials: vanilla custard, oreos, hot fudge, and caramel. That's it, and it doesn't need anything else. The custard is a great vessel for the rest of the goods, but as per usual with frozen custard it melts far more quickly than say a blizzard or mcflurry or what have you. Either way, delicious. Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Without a doubt. Star Granted. read more
