When we come to Tyler to eat 50% of the time at least, we grab Marble Slab because there are so few. It normally is a good- great experience. However, tonight Junah made it less of a positive experience. He was talking and not paying attention to customers. He was on his phone touching his hair and nose. Thankfully he had to wear gloves. He was so distracted he bypassed us to the customers behind us. He kept trying to talk and get Hank sidetracked but he for the most part was cordial but stayed on task. I did not get the young lady's name she was a trainee. She stayed with the customer and was working efficiently. A past employee came in they all spoke to one another and Junah began to quietly complain about the line. He told Hank he should put up the closed sign. Hank did help me with merging my app to the new one and explained what to do and was patient. I would normally give them a 4-5 star but tonight's efficiency and service was skewed by Junah. read more

The ice cream is good but the store is not clean and prices are way too high. A health inspection is seriously needed. The best service we ever got is from Junah. He is the absolute best and HONEST. A kid named Jude cursed out other employees in front of us and the shift lead, Hank, stood there and did nothing. No ice cream is worth this. read more

As someone who has been in hospitality for 20+ years, I would say this establishment has pulled the wool over the city of Tyler's eyes. When you first walk in, it seems clean. But with any training you soon realize that the hot sanitation water they are using and the overwhelming smell of bleach are immediate red flags. Anyone with any training knows that quat sanitizer should NEVER be mixed with bleach, yet the towel I requested to wipe my sticky table reeked of both. When the most recent health I speak tion was requested, the GM Gloria said nonchalantly that they haven't had an inspection since covid. I later used the restroom and took that opportunity to check the food safety manager certification on the wall, both of which had been expired over 2 years. I also noticed dead bugs in the light fixture covers which is a sign of a pest problem and an ECOSURE health violation. Worse customer service in all the marble slabs I have been too. I arrived at 9:30 excited for some late night ice cream knowing ahead of time that they closed at 10. The lady who greeted and help me with my samples was very nice and she was interested in how I liked the samples. There was a guy waiting after me who knew what he wanted, so I politely let him go ahead while I made a decision. (Ice cream can be a very indecisive decision time) When I was ready the very rude worker asked me "what do I want?" I proceeded to tell her. "small cup with half birthday cake with sprinkles and other half blue cotton candy." She started with my birthday cake and as soon as she got to the mixing table the ice cream rolled off the mixing board and she had to start over. She definitely expressed her frustration and clearly still had an attitude about scooping ice cream. For the other half (blue cotton candy) she didn't even serve me a half, she gave me a few slithers and basically threw my ice cream to my hand. I believe her name was Shabisca. Anyway and anyhow, no matter how upset you are about working at marble slab and serving ice cream you need to deliver superb customer service to everyone who walks through that door. This review is slightly biased, because ice cream is my weakness. Second one is cake. They combined both and turned them in the Wonder Twin Power Ice Cream Cake! We went there last night for my daughter's 14th Birthday. The cake was absolutely amazing looking, with Oreo's, cookie dough balls, and a huge waffle cone with her name and age on it. She absolutely loved it! The manager of this place did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of what we wanted in a birthday ice cream cake and over-delivered. I would go here anytime in the future and recommend just about anything in this place. They have shakes, ice cream cones, and of course, the ice cream cakes! read more

The ice cream tastes great, but over time they've started to scoop less and less to the point that now they UNDERfill the cups. It's also frustrating that this is the ONLY Marble Slab location that refuses to offer brownies as a mix-in; if you want a brownie to go with your ice cream you have to order a brownie sundae. We used to be loyal customers to the store but we will be going somewhere else for ice cream now. The last 3 or 4 times I've been, the staff have been super rude and act like they don't want to make my order. They're always out of the flavors I ask for. Kinda seems like if the flavor is popular you'd have backup right? I'm pretty sure they do, they just refuse to go get the back up. I experienced this on Sunday when I ordered a coffee shake. I glanced at her name tag since the customer service was so horrible. Carolina was talking to her co-workers and playing instead of rushing to take my order. Then she strolled over as if I was interrupting her and had an attitude when I asked about the charcoal mocha ice cream. She didn't try explaining that it was an item that was being offered for a limited time. She was annoyed by my being there. I went ahead and ordered something else since I was there and my being there was to celebrate a milestone in my life. She made the experience horrible for me instead of a memorable moment for all the right reasons! Sad that this is how I will recall my day.
