The restaurant just opened this week and was super busy, but the staff is attentive at clearing off the tables as soon as people left so we were able to get a table right away and enjoyed our meal! Was super worried since it's been less than a week that it opened but ended up going through the drive though and was pleasantly surprised! Super friendly staff, they knew their menu and directed me to exactly what I could eat with my allergies. Ordered 3 different chicken sandwiches for me and my family and everyone loved them! First time trying this. Highly disappointed. My husband salts his food. I really lightly salt. Point is husband was complaining of salt (he never does). I couldn't even eat it. It was like they dropped a salt shaker inside the tenders. Anyone else have that issue? Would I try again and see if it was a one off- Probably not. We used to eat Slims at least twice per month when we lived in Texas, and it was in my short list of things I missed when I returned to AZ. So we are incredibly excited to have it back, albeit 30 minutes away. The Mango Habanero sauce is to die for. My absolute favorite beating out BWW, Wingstop, Barros and everywhere else I've tried. Perfect level of heat and sweetness. The cayenne ranch is amazing to dip the fries in. Toast is super yummy (better than Cane's). Now the critical feedback, one of the strips on the visit was tough which is kind of gross for chicken. But my biggest issue: location. This is a horrible location. The QT, Slims and the hotel all share the same entrance/exit and it's a pain to navigate and not everything is even open in there so it'll get worse. The drive thru is right next to the 101 onramp. Like maybe 15 feet away. Meaning while you try to order you'll be fighting a never ending stream of vehicles aggressively accelerating that make it difficult to hear them and for them to hear you. And lastly super small parking lot so even if you wanted to avoid that issue good luck parking to go inside if it's busy. So in short, so glad they are here for when I'm craving it, but I'll have to weigh out the frustration the visit will cause vs the reward of the food. Maybe just close this one down and move to Goodyear? read more

The wings were okay but nothing to rave about. Customer service was as basic as the toast. Also why did they build right of the freeway. You never know what you might get at some places. Lots of sauces to choose from. Love the slims sauce, cayenne ranch and sweet chili sauce. I was really excited about this place at first. I went the evening it opened and ordered the fried mushrooms. Honestly, they were glorious and their ranch dressing was the real deal. BUT, on a subsequent visit, I again ordered the mushrooms and decided to try the bone in wings. The best I can say was that the lemon pepper seasoning was tasty. The wings were AWFUL! Tiny, dry without one piece of edible meat and this time, the mushrooms were not a full order and were nothing like the first ones I received. They were dark brown and soggy and obviously had been sitting around far too long. I asked for brand new mushrooms and explained I was happy to wait. So I pulled up as requested and waited 10 additional minutes only to be brought out the exact same mushrooms except now they were 10 minutes older and they didn't even bother to so much as to make it look like they were not the same ones they just gave me Do not lie to customers faces! How sad to lose a what could have been a loyal customer because you hire lazy, dishonest employees. And WHY are you selling chicken wings like that? Chicken is the main thing you do. Not returning. No where on the menu did I see (Dry Hairy Chicken Wings) as an option but that's what I received with a side of watery mashed potatoes with cheese they call potato salad. Husband ordered chicken club sandwiches meal that came with WAY more bread than chicken, bacon or cheese with overcooked unsalted fries. For this place to have 3 cars in the parking lot & no one in the drive through we had to want for the wings to be cooked. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!
