Stopped in at this local bar last night and had a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is exactly what you want when you're catching a game, plenty of TVs placed throughout the space, so no matter where you sit, you've got a great view. I grabbed a booth, but they also have plenty of tabletops and high-tops to choose from. The bartenders were super friendly and quick with service, even during the game rush. I ordered a round of wings and nachos, and both were spot on, crispy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing (or not). They've got a solid selection of beers which made it easy to pair with the food. Overall, it's one of those spots that makes you want to come back for the next game. Great energy, good food, cold drinks, and service that makes you feel like a regular. Highly recommend. read more

Stopped in for some wings and a couple cocktails. The wings here have always been on point here and well cooked your liking. They have a seasonal cocktail menu that was fun. We ordered the Thin Mint Cocktail and the Frozen Gingerbread Mudslide. Both were delicious. The mudslide was more like dessert due to the ice cream but was great. Stopped in for lunch to break up a road trip. There were 8 of us and the staff accommodated our group by seating us quickly with great service throughout our visit. Food tasted very fresh. I had a skinny margarita, Parmesan buffalo wings, and a Cobb salad. Drink was prepared well (not the best I've had but good), wings were cooked perfectly to my request of extra crispy. Salad was just what I expected and was very large. A take out box was needed. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Our server was excellent and very attentive to us! Sliders is top tier and feel like it's so underrated! Yes, the wings have been a little more expensive than other places, but the wings are big, have a lot of meat on them, and they have an endless list of sauces/dry rubs! and those curly fries?! SO good, I am obsessed with them! This is also the perfect place to watch any sports game, March Madness especially! they are always running really solid food and drink deals. They have five locations, and while the buildings each have their unique charms and interesting parking lot design, the menus are all identical and the preparations are remarkably consistent. You're guaranteed a good meal no matter which one you visit. You can read my other Sliders reviews for more info about the food, but I'll sum it up: I think this location has apartments above it, and I lived upstairs, I'd be 400 pounds in no time. So, let's talk Berlin. I'd say good luck finding it, but any map app will take you off the beaten path and into the parking lot (which, out of all the Sliders parking lots, is easy to navigate and rarely a mess in winter). The hostess stand is right inside the entrance, there's a fair amount of natural light, and there's plenty of room to move around; it never feels like you're on top of anyone. Now I go to the Berlin location because I live close to them and now we're talking fifteen years and everytime I order Weldon they just can't pull it off!! So I end up putting them in the oven and it just brings them down to the taste of a homemade wing I could pull off myself!!! Today, 10/5/25, they decided it would be a good idea to seat people vs letting people choose their seat to watch the game they came to watch. I've been coming to Sliders for years to watch football on Sundays. I had to point out to the hostess that the intial seat she tried giving me, would not allow people I was with to watch the game. She didnt even know the football games were labeled on the tvs around the bar. Staff is great, food is great. But a sports bar that you may get seated where you can't watch your sport, is a bad idea. For food, I would give them 5/5, service? Not so much. I got here around 5-530 and was pleasantly surprised that they had a happy hour until 6. While I really wanted to try almost everything on the menu, I settled for the boneless wings for $6. SO many different flavors to choose from, but I went with buffalo parmesan and definitely wasn't disappointed. The wings were delicious - they weren't the tiny breaded chicken nugget type like from BWW, they were entire chicken tenders that were tossed in sauce. They were also fried perfectly, they still had a nice crunch to them even with the sauce. A decent portion for $6 too. Beer selection was good as well, and I believe $1 or $2 off during happy hour? The service was the disappointing part. I felt unwelcome during my visit and it makes me not want to go back, except maybe for takeout. I could tell I was the only person at the bar that wasn't a regular, so maybe that's why. Not only was the bartender rude and seemed annoyed with me being there, she also wasn't super attentive. Right before happy hour ended, I watched her go around to every single person at the bar and put in another drink order - some of them still with full drinks, meanwhile I was ignored with my empty drink. I had also asked her opinion on a flavor - just trying to make conversation - and I was rudely answered with "it tastes how it sounds, I can't give you a sample". Maybe it's just the bar? I would be willing to give it another chance, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back, however, I would love to try the garlic breaded cheese curds on the happy hour menu! read more

I have never been to a Sliders I didn't like until now. Good thing my dad is good at math because if he wasn't we would have to pay $110. First of all they charged us extra for the chicken that the waitress said came in the salad. Secondly the waitress told us that the drink came with the meals. I just wanted a water but the waitress convinced me to get a lemonade. Which she charged us for $4 when it was supposed to be free. Also there was something called the happy hour special which had mini pretzels on that part of the menu. So it should have been free but yet again we were charged more. We were also over charged for almost everything else. Lastly, when my dad pointed this out to the waitress she told him he was wrong even though the manager said my dad was right. Yes, a sports bar is the recommended food destination for Berlin in the Hartford Courant magazine, and yes I recommend it. In 9 years of going to the Berlin location and Wallingford on occasion, I've only had friendly staff (despite busy game times...but the food has been worth the wait). Yes, it can be busy, but the food and drink menus have been great, especially the wings and many sauce offerings to pick from (with the fun of seeing new sauces appear here and there). I've been coming to this Sliders every once in a while for a few years, but I would say this year in particular I've become more of a frequent visitor. During all of my visits, whether they've been dine in or takeout, the service has been consistently friendly and efficient. The wings are also quite good. There is an extensive menu which I feel has expanded over the past couple of years in both wing flavor offering and preparations (i.e. regular to well done/extra crispy), to salads (love love love the cranberry walnut salad) and other sandwiches. Like any sports bar, it can get quite crowded around events but there is definitely a lot of space to enjoy some great wings and your drink of choice. read more

Berlin Slider's is, by far, my favorite Slider's location. I have never had an unpleasant waitress. The only negative would be the wait time for food, however, it isn't outlandish. The food quality, thanks to the longer wait time, is superb. I have not tried all the flavors, but my favorites would be Garlic Parmesan, Buffalo Blue Cheese, Honey Chipotle, and Medium Bufallo. My biggest tip: always ask your wings to be well done and extra saucy - it is worth the extra dollar or two! read more

Tonight's happy hour was a complete failure. I ordered 4 traditional wings and sweet potatoes fries. The wings and fries come out and the wing was completely cold. I'm not taking about room temperature, I'm talking about cold as if it just came out of the refrigerator, uncooked cold. I proceeded to tell our waitress and told her to touch the wings and she was shocked it was cold. She apologized and asked if I wanted another order of wings and I replied no thanks. She walks away with the plate and approaches mike, who I found out later from her, is the general manager. Mike takes the plate and walks into the kitchen and I can see he touches the wings and then he's speaking to the kitchen staff. I do not know what is said because the door closes. A few minutes later he comes to my table and says to me, without an apology, "what do you want me to do... take this off your bill". I really felt like saying to him, " no I'll pay for cold wings and not eat them!" Of course I said yes take that off my bill. So after I tell him this he says okay and walks away. Not once did Mike, the general manager, apologize or offer something else to me. This is just unacceptable and unprofessional. That had to be the dumbest question he could have asked me. Thanks to this experience I will no longer be coming to this establishment. Hopefully others have a better experience than I and don't end up with cold wings!! read more

Love this place! For my job at the VA Hospital, I often get sent to the Newington campus which is about 10 minutes up the road from Sliders. Since the first visit here, I was hooked and now my co-workers all join me. Lunches are great here. The service is quick and the food's always fantastic. By now we've all tried almost everything from the wings to the apps, to the burgers to the salads. Each time is incredible and has always been consistent. Their wings are the bomb too .. I even got a tray to bring to an Xmas party .. huge hit. Next time i'll bring 2! Incredible selection of sauces .. which they make themselves ,, and that they also sell in jars to take home! My current favorite wing flavor is the Garlic-Parmesan, but we fully intend to work our way thru the whole list and try them all. Always impressed at the subtle management presence visible here too... checking on tables making sure everyone's happy .. any corrections being made quickly. You don't get that everywhere but its nice to see that here. We have even more fun after work when we come for cocktails & apps or dinner. Fun place, great atmosphere, nice people and killer food & drinks. Can't wait till my next trip up that way. First visit to CT and we met family at this spot. It was a pretty good bar and grill, we were concerned that there would be an issue finding vegetarian options but luckily they had a veggie burger and wrap. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I liked how the bar was still very separated from the surrounding tables but it felt like you were in the bar still. There are plenty of TVs but it's not a noisy or crowded place. The veggie burger did not taste like an artificial patty of questionable meat. (As most veggie patties do) It was flavorful and you could taste the carrot and other vegetables inside. I devoured it. My husband had a veggie wrap and I tasted it. It was fresh and crisp it definitely met my expectations. I can't wait to go back on my next trip to revisit. read more

I've always liked Sliders; the service is consistently decent (today it was exceptional), beers are cheap, and the wings are very good. Earlier today, I made the mistake of ordering boneless wings (aka chicken tenders). In my opinion, if you're at a wings spot, wing up and get bone-in appendages. Although our sauce selections were very good (honey bbq - hard to mess up and tangy, spicy raspberry chipotle), the chicken itself was on the dry side and almost tasted reheated. I still love Sliders and only write this update to further recommend the regular wings. If I want Wings Sliders is one of my top choices. They have a multitude of flavors to choose from varying in Heat levels from no heat to burning your mouth and stinging your lips. This location when busy can be hard for you to find parking and you will see a multiple cars parked on the street. Funny thing is there will still be empty tables inside.....so don't let all those cars scare you away. Inside it has a typical sports bar feel. Big wrap around bar in the middle, a couple high top tables near the bar & and three sections with regular four person tables. Tons of TV's with various sports games on and music playing in the background. Sliders is known for their Wings and this primarily what I order when I go here. The Garlic Parm wings are really tasty and if we get several flavors I tend to eat this flavor first since they are better hot from the fryer. I also like the Medium Buffalo. We tried thier new Buffalo Parm flavor which was very good also. I always as for our wings to be well done, like them better that way. Crispy Baby!! And you have to get them on the bone!! Service can be a little slow when its busy.....but just get a beer or a drink to tide you over till you can sink your mouth into those tasty wings! read more

I ordered wings days before the Super Bowl. As expected for a place so popular for their wings I was told pick up time 12:15. They staggered the pick up times. The wings which usually are great were dry and you had to order in lots of 50 of the same flavor. I wanted an additional 24 of another but no dice!! I guess it's too much trouble to do that....an apparently it's too much trouble to wash the celery that accompanies the wings too because (see photo) the celery was old and filthy....makes me wonder what goes on in the kitchen????!? So I gave them a Second shot because my son begged me for wings tonight. Apparently anything produced related they cannot handle. Very disappointed in my last visit to sliders. I'll start off with the good... The service was good food came out fast and my beer glass was almost never empty. The beer was nice and cold. 3.99 for a 16oz coors light ouch. I got the hot and sweet wings and rodeo fries. The wings weren't crispy at all and pretty small. The fries were even worse. So soggy and the rodeo ranch add on rub was not worth the extra buck. I think their fryer temp may have been too low. Or the fries weren't kept frozen and sat out for some time. I wish bar owners would stop being so greedy when it comes to coors light or other domestic beers. Hell mattys in middletown it's 2 bucks all day everday. Chilis is 3.29 for a tall! read more
