    Side Salad with ranch

In town for a wedding and my family took us here for dinner. Restaurant was clean and not very busy for dinner time. I ordered sirloin tips with grilled onions, a side salad and steamed broccoli. They brought my salad first. It was alright. Nothing to brag about. I ordered my steak medium. It came well done. I also felt like the portion of steamed broccoli was very small. Otherwise it tasted alright. Nothing to rave about though. Service was good. Kept drinks refilled.

An easy location to get to with lots of parking. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our server was very nice and attentive. A large menu with a lot of options. I chose a half flatbread and soup. The flatbread was delicious but the soup was not good. The lobster roll was on special today and that was really good. A nice large portion of lobster. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating. A nice sports bar feel.

This is my first time testing this restaurant chain out. I'm from NY so I've never had 99 but I can say this place gave me a great first experience. Service was great, good came out fast and was very tasty for what it's worth! The setting was also very nice, I'd compare it to an Applebees. Great for what it's worth!

Steak tips were meh, chicken tenders were not edible.

I want to start by saying that the service itself was good, but that girl needs to find someplace that serves actual edible food to their patrons. I ordered the steak tips and tenders combo. I was severely disappointed. 4 sirloin tips that were more burnt than actually cooked, and 4 "tenders" that were no longer than 2 inches a piece and burnt so hard I almost cracked a tooth. Not to mention a prime rib, which used to be the main attraction here, that was visibly old and beyond tough. Overall everything about the place was disappointing aside from the service. Not coming back any time soon. I would have complained at the time but it was my niece birthday and I didn't want her to feel embarrassed that she picked this place that used to be so good.

I usually have no problem with the Bristol CT store. First, the person bringing my curbside order out did see i ordered a cocktail. Then the bartender hadn't made it so the food got cold while we waited. Finally, I got home and my buffalo chicken wrap was honey BBQ. I even paid for blue cheese dressing to go with it. Very disappointed with today's order

So my boyfriend and I are frequent customers at various 99 Restaurants. Last night we decided to visit the one in Bristol. Our waitress was great! Her name was Nevaeh. She was quite attentive and checked often enough to make sure we were happy. We ordered the seafood studies as an appetizer. I happened to see a small white piece of a shell sticking out of my stuffie. I just took it out and placed it on a napkin. Then I ordered a strawberry martini. It was not as pictured. Seems mind was missing the strawberry that should have been hung in the side of the martini glass. Also, it looked as if the glass wasn't as full as it could be. Anyway, the salads we ordered were tasty, but I did notice a light brownish color hair on the plate. Not too sure that I'll be going back there again.

    Presentation could have been better!

This is one of the better chain restaurants in the area! I've never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good and the wait staff well trained and friendly. Kristina, our waitress on our last visit, was exceptional! The Shrimp Flatbread was simple but tasty! The Braised Short Rib Tacos were excellent! The presentation could have been a little better! Looked like they were thrown together in a hurry which they probably were because this place is pretty busy early Saturday night! Only problem I really have, bring back the Coconut Shrimp appetizer and BBQ turkey tips!

Not bad really. Nice staff. Decent food. Nothing great.. but the 99 is a very consistently been a good place to eat.

We love the Forsetville 99! Whenever we are looking for a quiet local place to sit at the bar and watch a game, or simply grab a quick bite to eat, the Forestville 99 is usually our go-to. What stands out most about this 99 is their staff. I come here quite often with my developmentally disabled neighbor, Gregg, and he ALWAYS gets the most special treatment from our waitresses- especially Kristina and Saige. Gregg looks forward to stopping in to see his friends and enjoy a great meal. Thank you for your continued hospitality, Forestville 99!

It has been quite some time since I've ventured into a 99 Restaurant and times have changed! They've revamped their menu since the last time I ate here and I have to say I was a bit impressed with the quality of food. I usually play it safe with "chain" places and order a burger. I ordered the "Stadium Burger" which is a mix of Italian sausage and ground beef, topped with provolone cheese and peppers. There is also a homemade mustard which I have to say was my favorite part of the sandwich! It was very good and I'd definitely order it again. It was comparable to a class 'sausage and peppers' grinder, but in burger format. For starters, we got the Caprese flatbread which was good, although I would have preferred more mozzarella and less Balsamic sauce (I felt it was a little too sweet, but it was good nonetheless) My boyfriend got the Bubble Green Tea for his beverage, and to my delight, it was actually quite refreshing! (Not sure how Bubble Green Tea fits into the restaurant menu, but it's still a good choice for something a bit different) The dessert menu was a bit lacking - nothing on it that I really wanted to try. I'd give this place a try again!

Honestly, after reading the reviews, I wasn't too confident I would even be able to eke on in for dinner, but my God was I able to get in, and thank the LORD I was able to find a parking spot with such a full lot of cars! What started as a solo trip to J Timothy's became a welcome table event when fellow Yelper Angie showed up with her husband and invited me over to their table. I'm SO glad we were able to have that happen! It became one of the best post-event dinners I've had yet. It did take a bit of time to decide between the three of us, but we eventually split our checks, with me taking care of my order and Angie taking care of the rest. We had Kate as a waitress, and might I say, she was not only nice and efficient, but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful and accommodating. I immediately requested a take-out box and she delivered just like that. She was even knowledgeable on what foods and such were made in-house and what wasn't, which is honestly very impressive! Also note, we all got to have a taste of everything that came in tonight, so we got lots of food to get to! We did have the wings for our appetizers. I did the 10-wing Dirt Style Honey BBQ Gold for mine, and they got I wanna say 20(?) Buffalo wings. They were cooked to perfection, and I was able to twist the bones off the flats. Both flavors were good, but even though it could possibly be my bias talking, I did prefer my flavor of wings. I will say the Buffalo had that signature spice level there, but it didn't overpower the wing, which is awesome! Oh, and there were also the potato skins which was rated perfectly, and that tasted really good as well. For the entrees, this is why I immediately requested the box. My order was the full rack of ribs. Angie got the chicken pot pie. Usually, I don't eat pot pies, but the one Angie ordered was honestly very good. Flaky, buttery crust top, and savory filling or chicken, potatoes, peas, etc. As for my ribs, whenever I tried to cut them, all the meat kept falling off the bone! That's how you know it was cooked properly! And dear God were these ribs were delicious, succulent, and delicious! Did I mention they were delicious? The BBQ sauce was a symphony of bliss that helped make each bite of rib taste like I went to Cloud Nine! The coleslaw it came with was good, but it's not something I would say can compete with the South. But good all the same. Drinks were great too. I got the Dragon Fruit Martini(?), and that was sweet and relaxing to have after a long summer and a long drive to Plainville. Oh, and we also got dessert! Again we picked different things: Angie ordered the "Not Fried Chicken" while I went with the Key Lime Pie. Wherever these guys get their key lime pie from, keep them coming and let me know so I can get some more myself! The raspberry sauce was a great choice for accompaniment and complimented the pie nicely. And the slice was divine! The Not Fried Chicken is a very innovative idea, and it tasted good as well. I can see now why this place gets so much love. It's insane how good this place is in just about every aspect! The sink did take a bit to learn, but that was about my only criticism, other than that this place easily gets 5 stars from me, and I am so glad to have had this dinner with Angie and meet her husband. #KeepYelping

I always try to make it a trip trip out to J. Timothy's Tavern when I visit back in the northeast…read more Ordered both the Gold BBQ and Buffalo flavors dirt style, and they were absolutely delicious and dank as per usual. The Gold BBQ wings were my favorite--crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. They had the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy without being overpowering. The Buffalo wings were excellent too, with a classic sauce that had just the right amount of heat and a great buttery finish. The wings came out crispy even after being sauced, which is harder to do than most places make it look. Service was friendly, the atmosphere felt like a classic neighborhood tavern, and you can tell they've been doing this for a long time. If you're anywhere near Plainville and like wings, this place is definitely worth the stop. I'll be thinking about those Gold BBQ wings for a while.

My lobster roll, which I came here specifically for based on other reviews, arrived at the table and I started laughing my head off. The bun was maybe at best 2/3 the size of a hot dog bun and had probably half a chicken lobster worth of lobster... it at that. I doubt it even reached 4oz, and with a side of fries, market price was $30. I felt completely ripped off. I've gone to Abbots at the shore of the Sound, and their roll cost the same but was about double the contents and I didn't leave hungry. $30 and I was lucky that I ordered an appetizer to fill in the gap in my stomach.
