Bone in Ribeye

We had a great dinner today at Texas Roadhouse, in Manchester, CT! Our server, Nicki, was awesome--very attentive and friendly. She checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our meals. We never had to ask for refills; she noticed from across the room and brought fresh drinks right over. My T-bone steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. There was even enough for leftovers. Excellent food and excellent service! If I had to make any complaint or suggestion, it would be that the restaurant is always cold. You definitely want to bring a sweater or jacket, otherwise it can get uncomfortable--and the food cools off quicker because of it.

Texas Roadhouse is a restaurant chain and has some really great steaks and you can't beat the prices. The Ranger Kids 6oz sirloin comes with 1 sides. I usually get the house salad special to order which is romaine lettuce, diced boiled egg, cheddar cheese. This salad go's great with the honey mustard dressing. The sirloin steak choice on the menu is nice and tender. They cut and dry age the steaks in house. Love the fresh warm rolls with cinnamon butter so yummy and addicting.

Tonight was one of the best nights here. Easy waitlist check in, our waitress Stephanie was soo amazing!! Friendly polite quick service and very attentive to us! we were not ready to order and she was patient to wait for us. I recommend using the waitlist on the app so that you're not coming to the restaurant and waiting over 60 minutes while people are staring at you bypassing them. our side dishes came out pretty quick, Stephanie came back with two baskets of bread she also came back with a brand new ketchup after we told her that it was empty. Great and easy service!

Ambience is very Texan steakhouse. 3.5 stars for a chain restaurant. Service was very good. Fast and sufficient. Drinks remained full. Chili is very good. Comes with cheese and onions. Steak kebabs have an interesting vinegar marinade that I personally did not like. Chicken critters were fried well. Crispy outside. Can't forget their rolls made in house with cinnamon honey butter that are endless.

I love coming to Texas Roadhouse especially the one in Manchester The service is wonderful The bread is always always warm and fresh. The filet medallions is my favorite thing to order I usually get two side salads instead of a second side and it still comes with rice. You can get peppercorn dressing or the mushroom one and I really love the mushroom one the most. Those inside outside seating and bar seating. The restrooms have a touchless opening which I found super convenient since they did not have paper towels and only hand blow dryers which I will not use. You can pay right on the kiosk so you don't have to wait for a check. I will continue to go here.

My wife & I have been to this place for many years, lunch & a movie is our fav. weekend activity. Our go to place to eat, it pretty much never disappoints. Wife always orders the double pork chop, she loves it & takes some home make two meals out of it. My favorites are beef tips, fajitas & bone-in ribeye. The bone-in ribeye is incredible, so flavorful, a must try. It's a bit pricy for lunch but it's huge, definitely can make two meals out if it two. Be there 11:30 sharp if going on the weekend, otherwise may run into a line.

The service was off the charts great but food just "good". We arrived early before 5:00 on a Friday evening and sat at the bar. We often prefer bar seating because service is better than tables and this was no exception. The bar staff works as a team and literally every couple of minutes someone would ask if we need anything...BRAVO!! We started with combo appetizer that had boneless chicken, fried mozzarella and potato skins. Loved the mozzarella and skins! Best part of my meal. I ordered the small NY Strip and she got their smothered chicken. My steak was thin and dry. My bad; ordered medium well should have done medium on such a thin steak. Fries were soggy (BOO!!). Her chicken was better; moist and tender. Green beans didn't seem fresh (frozen or canned?) and were overcooked but the broccoli was fresh and cooked to perfection. Even with food that didn't hit the bullseye we had a very pleasant meal out helped by the over the top friendly and efficient bar staff.

What do you what to drink and don't forget to add that kicker,

In addition, the portion sizes are huge, so be sure to come hungry! I ordered the farm to table burger and was thoroughly impressed! The local ingredients hit the spot and the truffle fries paired excellently. The blood orange margarita was also super delicious. Service was attentive and very helpful in setting up a spot for our infant son.

This is the email I just sent corporate to share my experience, I figured I'd copy and paste…read moreinstead of rehashing it. Hello, I'm writing because I had an uncomfortable experience at Maggie McFly's today that I feel is important to share, especially because this restaurant has been such a big part of my son's life. We've celebrated multiple birthday gatherings here, as well as his middle school graduation. It's genuinely his place. It is not my personal favorite, but we come because he insists Maggie McFly's has the best grilled cheese. Every visit, without fail, we order two grilled cheeses for him. Today, he ate the first one and it was perfectly fine. When he started on the second, he immediately said it tasted fishy. He kept trying to eat it because he didn't want to make a fuss, so about half of it was gone by the time we let our server know. She was very friendly and immediately said she would bring it to the manager. What happened next is what prompted me to reach out. The manager came over holding the half-eaten grilled cheese at an angle, almost like she was presenting it as evidence. The first thing she said was, "I'm confused, half of this is already eaten." My son explained again that it tasted fishy, and instead of empathy or even a simple "I'm sorry that happened," she repeated, "I'm still confused," as if she didn't believe him. There was no apology, no attempt to make the situation right, just an attitude that left both of us feeling uncomfortable. I even said, very clearly, that he was still hungry and I was happy to pay for another sandwich. I wasn't asking for anything free. I simply wanted my son to get something he could eat. Later, after the replacement sandwich came, she walked up behind us, saw that I had the Maggie McFly's website open on my phone, and said, "Did that come out better for you guys?" The tone suggested nothing had just happened, as if she hadn't been dismissive minutes earlier. The disconnect felt jarring. We got an $8 credit toward the bill at the end. The entire interaction felt dismissive and shaming, especially with the way she held the sandwich and questioned him. And the impact was immediate. My son walked out saying he never wants to come back, and that's really the most unfortunate part. This restaurant has been his favorite for years, the place he chooses for milestones and celebrations, and the one time he spoke up about something being wrong, he was made to feel small for it.

Our server was very polite , attentive, asked about allergies , gave his suggestions , and constantly checked in on us to make sure we had everything . For started I got the firecracker shrimp , which had a sweet and tangy sauce which was delicious highly recommend ( I personally didn't think it was spicy but had great flavour ) For my entree I got the California chicken sandwich which was really good . Highly recommend and I got the side of truffle fries which had just the right amount of truffle ( since I personally don't like to much truffle ) Plenty of flavour . I also ordered the aperol spritz which was nice and light and refreshing . My friend ordered the filet which was cooked perfectly to what he wanted. Nice light seasoning with salt and pepper and juicy on the inside . Served with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans . The espresso martini he said was his second best he's ever tasted ! Which is a win . For dessert we. Tried the seven layer chocolate cake to go! Which heated up and with a scoop of ice cream was amazing very thick and rich in flavour which I loved. Situated in The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk, Burtons Grill offers a bar, a spacious dining room, a seasonal patio, and a space suited for large groups. My friends wanted to take me out for my birthday and asked where I'd like to go. I chose this spot because I'd heard so many good things about it. Since the weather was pleasant in October, we decided to sit outside. For starters, we shared a rustic bread roll served with pesto, herb, and garlic butter, and olive tapenade. In my opinion, the olive tapenade really stole the show, giving the bread a bold flavor. The bread itself was soft, warm, and utterly delicious. We also tried the signature wings coated in maple sriracha and the Memphis dry rub wings. Although I couldn't distinctly taste the maple or sriracha, the wings were still packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which was rich with spinach, artichoke hearts, parmesan, tomato-jalapeño relish, and served with tortilla chips. It was genuinely tasty. For my main course, I went with the Steak Frites, featuring a charred flatiron steak served with béarnaise sauce and Parmesan-truffle fries. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The truffle fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the truffle flavor really made them stand out. It was a simple yet satisfying dish. My friends chose the crispy fish sandwich, comprising fried haddock, pickled red onions, pickles, tartar sauce, all nestled in a brioche bun with a side of French fries. Another friend ordered the general Tso bowl, which included braised chicken glazed with general Tso sauce, along with charred broccoli, a rice-and-quinoa blend, julienned vegetables, toasted almonds, scallions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and ginger aioli. Both of them said their meals were fantastic. Our server was friendly, lively, and attentive throughout the meal. I definitely plan on returning to try more items from the menu.

Inside, you feel as if you were in a restaurant in New York of Boston, not EvergreenWalk in South Windsor. Tile floors, nice booths with wood dividers, tablecloths. Our server was nice & took our order along with drink order - they were busy so we did have a short wait. I got an espresso martini - very good. Steak salad for my meal (that's my go to at Ted's). The right amount of steak for me. My husband had a bison burger. Really good & very lean. He got the 50-50 : half fries & half onion rings. We got dessert to go. Apple crisp with pecans & vanilla ice cream. Our server packaged it up with directions on how to heat up. We had it the next night at home - so good. Plenty of parking at Evergreen. Notice the ceiling kegs at the entrance. The music is a variety of music from the 70's to the 80's. For my first drink, I'm high the Lucky Ducky. This is made with Altos Plata Tequila, Malibu Coconut Rum, Absolute Mandarin Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Bols Blue Curaçao, Monin Sweet and Sour, pineapple juice and Starry. I love the prevention! It is served in a bathtub with a floating ducky! This is good. I can't really taste the alcohol but I like the overall taste. The presentation makes the drink. For our appetizer, we are having the Chicken Pot Stickers which are pan-seared filled dumplings, garlic, ginger, yellow chives, soy ginger sauce and slaw topped with rice sticks, sesame seeds and green onions. These are nice! Extra soy sauce and a rice stick topping. For my next drink, I'm having the Grand Patron Margarita made with Patron Silver, fresh orange and lime slices and topped with a mini bottle of Grand Marnier. Grand Marnier is a premium French orange liqueur made from a blend of Cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange, and sugar, created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. It has a rich, complex flavor profile with notes of orange, vanilla, and hazelnut, and is typically 40% ABV (80 proof). It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, in cocktails like the Sidecar, or used in desserts like Crêpes Suzette. They use a thinner salt for the rim. Still hard to taste the alcohol (because of the size of the glass), but as I drink it, the Grand Marnier kicks in! These more like it! For my next item, I'm having the Soup (clam chowder) and Salad Combo (House). The soup is hot and comes with crackers. It's good! The salad is good sized with croutons, it is very good! For my entree, I'm having the Enlightened Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon which is oven roasted Atlantic salmon in a savory Cherry Chipotle glaze with roasted asparagus and spinach. This is dipped hot! It tastes great! Very unique! Nice presentation! I love it! For my last drink, I'm having the Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, simple syrup and Angostura bitters. Look at this! They use a large ice cube to slow the dilution process! It's nicely garnished and well-balanced. This tastes great! Good job! For dessert, I'm having one of their World Famous Pizookies - Strawberry Shortcake. This is a buttery sugar cookie, fresh strawberries, rich vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. What a mistake I made going to Longhorn Steakhouse instead of Texas Roadhouse…read more The restaurant was FREEZING. We had to ask the waitress and then the manager to turn up the heat. It took them till we were halfway thru our meal before finally taking action. Then, after about 15 mintues, the place went COLD again. We asked the manager to raise the heat yet AGAIN. He did, but only for a couple of minutes and then turned it off again. He actually tried blaming our cold on being seated next to the windows. Idiot. Doesn't matter the reason for us feeling cold. All that matters is that we ARE cold and feeling miserable. The other issue I had was with my steak. i ordered a rib eye. It came to my table looking thin and awkward (not the normal looking rib eye). I'm a rib FREAK. I know what a good one looks like and this definitely wasn't it. Furthermore, they pan fried my steak. WTH! Who does that to a rib eye? It should have been flame cooked. I complained and they told me "that's the normal way we cook them." No way... I just went to another Longhorn Steakhouse just the week before and that steak was good looking and flame cooked. I told my waitress to send it back and cook one correctly. The next one came out flame cooked, but still looking sorry (very thin, no cap, and tough). Honestly, as soon as I felt cold, I should have left. Shame on me for giving them the chance to correct this situation. At this point, I will never go back to another Longhorn, not when theres a Texas Roadhouse just up the road where I'm ALWAYS satisfied.
