Me and my friends went here for lunch when we were at driving school. Once we walked in the guy at the front was welcoming. We were having a bit of trouble trying spilt the bill and the guy was so patient and understanding. Once we figured it out, they immediately cooked our pizza. The place was so calm and had entertainment that kept us entertained until our pizza was out. The pizza was super fresh and hot. It was so delicious and I think I found my new favorite pizza place read more

Ok 'ish. Restart is warm in the the summer and their menu of beer is very inconsistent, food is ok.

Super bummed, used to love eating here. Just had the worst experience, everything tastes like it was frozen food, whether it was or not it was straight bad. The wings are 90% soggy fat, the chicken Alfredo was tasteless, the fries were alright, and the pizza tasted like it was a cheap gas station pizza. Long time customer, never again. read more

My family has always had their family parties at slice of Italy. The food here is excellent and what I love most is that they are always consistent so if it's good the first time you can assure yourself that it's going to be good every time after that on top of the pizza being excellent, they also have excellent fried chicken and fried wedges everything made to order. The ambience has changed over the years. They have moved away from that classic pizza joint and are more towards restaurant style now but the good thing is the food that's always been good it's still excellent. I've always had great service here and I would highly recommend it to anyone that's just looking for a casual night out a dinner date or even a small family gathering . read more

I don't know if this place is owned by the same People who owns the one off of Hagerman. This one is definitely one of my favorite places in Bakersfield to grab a slice from. Delicious pizza, potatoe wedges and garlic fries. Haven't tried other items on the menu but they do have many different options.

Love ordering from Slice of Italy! Pizza is always amazing and definitely hits the spot!

Just had lunch here and recommend. Had the chicken parm and the all mean pizza. Food is very good and one is great

The food was absolutely amazing. Not a "pizza place" food taste. If you want great food, this is the place to go. The waitress, Courtney, was great! She gave us excellent service. They said they were going to be renovating the place. If they add the new look to the DELICIOUS FOOD, and the GREAT SERVICE.... WOW.... What more can you ask for?? Good job. Loved it tonight. You guys nailed it. Thank you!!! Enjoyed the food, enjoyed the service. Food is DELICIOUS!! read more

Absolutely loved this place! Service was great, liked the vibes inside. We ordered the jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon and they were amazing! Pizza was delicious. Sauce wasn't too sweet, crust was perfect and crisp. You must order the cheesecake. It was smooth and delicious. My husband loves cheese cake and tries it everywhere we go. His words "this might be the best cheesecake I've had" We will be coming back for sure. Highly recommend read more

I really love their tiki masala fries but good luck trying to get it because it's out of stock half the time. My first visit was great the server was nice and everything tasted delicious but since then i've been twice and have been thoroughly disappointed. Went here looking for some tiki masala fries and waited for someone to take my drink order for 20 minutes. The was one other family in the place and half the restaurant was packed up. Very unimpressed. read more

I was craving pasta at work and decided to stop by to get some food to go. The staff are amazing, friendly, and helpful. I haven't had tiramisu in a very long time, and this gives makes you close your eyes and enjoy the moment. I was informed it's made in-house daily. The coffee notes were perfectly balanced with the decadent chocolate drizzle. The pasta stayed hot in its container until I was able to eat some about 45 minutes later. It's beautifully seasoned and the ratio of sauce to pasta is perfect. Thank you, Slice of Italy, for providing me with a lunch that sang to my heart. I will forever recommend this location. read more

Had such an amazing time! The employees were amazing and very welcoming! And the food was just as great!

Food was excellent and the service was incredibly friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we got the best deal.

Went into Slice of Italy today at around 6 o'clock. My family and I already knew what we wanted so we ordered our food and drinks at the same time (6:15). Waiter never came to ask us if we needed anything or that our food would be out shortly, basically forgotten. After an hour and 15 mins the waiter comes and asks, "are you still waiting on food?" Long story short, we did not receive our food until almost 2 hours later. When our chicken and wedges finally came out, we asked for it to go. We go to pay and was not even offered a discount or anything, $79 wasted for bad service. Once we got home we realized we were short 1 chicken. Safe to say, this will most likely be the last time we eat here. read more

Not good. The pizza was lower quality than little Cesar's. The chicken strips (3) for $13 was a joke.. more like chicken jerky with Buffalo sauce. Very sad . They refer to the cook as a master chef, more like a master piece of crap. The margarita was all juice and no tequila. I wish I could get my $$ back and forget about this place. I should have known this place was no good when we walked in, and it was empty. Ambiance was sad. Waitress was nice. That's why they get one star. I will find another place to spend my money, not worth it. read more

The service here is amazing! Daniel is always walking around making sure everyone has what they need. The servers are fast and friendly and this is such a great place to take the whole family. The food is phenomenal, if I'm gonna pay for pizza it needs to be great and the pizza here never disappoints. I occasionally try new dishes and every time I'm amazed by the quality and flavor. Their chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The creamy garlic pizza has a flavorful white sauce and delicious artichokes! read more

As soon as you walk through the doors you're greeted with such a warm and welcoming environment. The outdoor patio, the bar, and the indoors eating areas were all aesthetically pleasing. The food was just as amazing! Potato Wedges and fried chicken was a hit! Wedges were seasoned to perfection but could use a little more crunch in my opinion, nevertheless, still delicious. The fried chicken had a nice crispy outside with a tender flavor packed bite. The thin crust pizza was amazing, the crust was crunchy, the sauce had a slight hint of sweetness, that paired so well with the flavors of the pepperoni making every mouthful delightful. However, the mozzarella sticks were my favorite. You're met with a perfectly breaded mozzarella stick that pairs phenomenally with their marinara sauce. Cheese pull on these was a 10/10! Although the buffalo wings are last in my review they should not be counted out as a savory appetizer. These wings were huge compared to competitors and the tanginess of the sauces was extinguished with their very generous ranch bottle to use as you please. read more

The food here is decent. Not great, but it isn't expensive. You get what you pay for. Fast and easy pizza place if you don't have a lot of time. The unfortunate thing is the roaches I see when I'm in here. They are scattered around the floor, and nobody must sweep because they are in plain sight. Not even hidden. It's pretty sad. read more

Friday after 5pm. There was one girl working the front to sit, serve, and answer the phones to take orders. We waited a bit to be sat down. We even saw a couple leave because they were tired of waiting to be helped. We were patient. This was our first time here. It still look us some time to get our order taken. The pizza was amazing. I got a small combo. The crust was great. The only gripe about the pizza was the bottom was getting soggy? I noticed about my 2nd slice in. The small is perfect for 2 people to share or one person to eat for a couple of days. We asked about the Yelp chicken offer when ordering. The girl said she would ask her boss but she never put in the order or followed up. Chicken would have gone great with the pizza, if we could have tired it with the offer. Anyways, pizza is great. Definitely come and try it. I would say it's in my top 3 pizza places in town. It is unfortunate about the staffing/lack of service on a Friday night and not accodating the yelp offer. Otherwise, I would have given this place 5 stars. read more

I've been a longtime customer at this place, often bringing my kids along. Lately, I've been stopping in during my lunch break to enjoy some peace and quiet, along with a good meal and a book. However, my recent experience with the girl at the counter and her poor attitude has left me extremely disappointed. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. Today, I ordered my usual personal pizza with wedges at the restaurant. The cashier asked if I wanted a drink, which made me pause because it's not something I'm usually asked. I pointed out that the meal deal includes a drink. However, when I saw the total on the register, I was surprised to see that she was charging me $19 instead of the usual $11. I explained that I usually pay around $11 for the same order, but she insisted the total was $19. I paid and went to sit down. As I was waiting, I checked my previous bank statements and realized that I had never paid more than $12 for a similar meal at this restaurant. When the cashier brought me my food, I asked her to review my order, explaining that I had verified my previous transactions and confirmed that my meal shouldn't cost more than $12, as I had ordered the lunch special. However, she rudely replied, "NO, YOU DIDN'T." I completely changed my whole attitude towards her after this incident. First of all, even though I didn't mention the "special" (which I actually did), it was lunchtime, and when I questioned the amount at the register, she knew the menu better than I did. I couldn't understand why she didn't offer me the lunch special if it was the same exact thing. Instead, she told me, "NO YOU DIDN'T" and "THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU SAID" more than once. While I don't believe in the "customer is always right" mentality because we're not always right, her attitude and customer service were the worst. She then took my receipt, muttering, "Let's see if I can." When she returned, she said they would void it but couldn't give me cash back, and they would have to charge me again with an even worse attitude. At that point, I decided not to deal with her any longer and just accepted it. I didn't want to show her the worst side of me. I would rather pay the $19 incorrectly than keep dealing with her. But I am certain I will never step foot in that restaurant again. read more

I always seem to pass this place up. Seen something on Yelp that caught my eye with a 10% off your order if you order online. Ordered the garlic chicken pizza and wow, it was just as good as it looked! The broccoli added a nice texture to it. Another plus, I normally don't eat the crust but it was actually pretty good and almost like a cheese bread. Also saw that if you check in on Yelp you get 5 free wings. I love that the wings were huge and only $1 a wing! I've called over the phone with some questions and staff were very polite and answered all my questions. 5 star was earned today! read more
