While I could probably do this at home, there's just something great about going somewhere that has an array of ingredients prepped and ready for you to throw into a delicious salad! Salad Sensations, located in Rosedale Village with the Studio Movie Grill, is a make your own salad, sandwich or smoothie shop. Their menu board shows a variety of pre-made offerings to choose from or you can take advantage of filling your plate with your favorites. If you're ordering to take out for a large group, it's helpful to go with their premade options. However, if you're coming in or dining in (as there are tables to sit at), it's great to pick what you'd like. I came in and went with a make your own salad. I opted for the size small (which is actually humungous). They start with your choice of greens and I opted to blend a few different options. For toppings, I went ham (literally) choosing ham and avocado as my additional paid toppings, while adding on a ton of complimentary toppings like tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and onions. They offer you up to three salad dressings and I went with the honey mustard and chipotle ranch. Everything tasted fresh. The only topping I may skip in the future is the ham. The chunks were gigantic, but the meat was a little chewy and tough. I'd opt for one of their chickens as they commonly also use these flavorful chickens in their panini sandwiches. Build your own salads start at just $8.95 for a small in addition to about $2-5 for any of the additional proteins, making this a fairly reasonable spot for a meal! read more

A few reviews have already mentioned this before but if you come in within 1 hr of closing time they will be rude to you. Tried the chicken caesar and it was mid. I left feeling so upset that I paid that much for that salad and what made it worse was the employees telling us "Just so you know, we close at 7, so it will need to be to go." It was maybe 6:20 ish. You can have 8 toppings (extra is $0.25), but that was enough for me. If you don't want a salad then they also have soup, sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies. I ordered a small salad with spinach and spring mix, strawberries, mandarins, dried cranberries, sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, pepitas, feta cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I wasn't really craving any meat/fish today, but they have protein options at an additional charge (prices vary). It was very filling. The service was swift and friendly. It's a small store, but it still had a good amount of seats for groups of up to four. Due to the size of store, it can get a little noisy. I made it here before the line got long, but you can always order ahead if you'd like to skip the line. They also have a punch card program, so I'll definitely be coming back. This food is amazing but the staff fell short of great today. Made my order and to my surprise they took my order made my food and then informed me that they closed in 15 min. Me and my husband sat down and the young lady started to sweep at our feet. Picking up all the dust from the day to fall into our food. After 6 min of eating our food she told us we close in 5 min. My husband was already upset asked for two boxes and boxed our food to go eat outside in our car. Sad they closed the door behind us and shut down 2 minutes before 7pm. As you walk in there are a few tables and chairs, they even have a few bar top tables and chairs. There was a line, but they let you know they will be right with you. As they ask you what would you like they apologize for the wait. I ordered the steak taco salad and Santa Fe wrap. Both with onions. You get 8 toppings and if you want more they charge extra, which is ridiculous considering the small scoop of toppings they give you. And I do mean small. I also noticed that if you get the dressing added in to your salad they will give you as much as you want. But if you want it on the side they give you only 4 small cups. If you want more they charge for that too. Honestly the large salad you could share with 4 people. But I got it home and split everything with my husband. There was barely any steak or chicken. It's basically lettuce. I will admit they did taste really good. They just need to correct some issues. read more

Tried this place for the first time with my sister who was visiting from out of town. Very friendly employees. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. The large salad IS very large... had some leftovers to take home. :-) My sister noted however that our salads were not the same amount (hers was larger/more ingredients) so I'm guessing it may just depend on who is constructing your salad.
