Amazing restaurant! Everything is so fresh, the sauces all taste simple, fresh, and delicious. The workers are always so kind and welcoming. I have tried their wraps, salads, and ceviche. All 10/10. It is hard to find a simple restaurant that gives legitimate healthy food, so when I discovered this place i started going multiple times a week. Y'all I was craving a salad! With the way the temperature was during the summer here in Bakersfield, there is nothing fresher than a fresh, crisp salad. I asked on social media for everyone to suggest somewhere that I could indulge in a salad and many suggested Salad Sensations. I headed to the new one immediately! At first I was overwhelmed with the setup. It gives a Chipotle vibe with how to order. I decided to try out the build your own salad so you can choose from 4 base greens. Then you can add up to 8 veggies (additional veggies are extra), then they have the seeds and nuts sections (pumpkin, sunflower, walnuts, sliced almonds, etc). There's also croutons, wontons, tortilla strips, cranberries...just endless additions. Then you choose your meat, if you even want any. The meat is an up charge but there are quite a few to choose from and last, its dressings. I mean the possibilities are endless! I have been about 4 times in about two weeks and I will continue to go. There's also homemade horchata and Jamaica!!! The ladies are so nice and helpful and walk you through each step. This is my 8th stop at Salad Sensations. I love their Asian Chicken salad. From the SF Bay Area I take Hwy 5 south to 58 E on my way to visit family in Rosamond. The service staff is great and restaurant always clean. I always look forward to having the Children Salad! read more

We've been here a few times since moving to Bakersfield last year! One of our first local finds! From the first visit we've always been impressed with the cleanliness, excellent customer service and amazingly fresh and delicious food! We've had many items and all have been delicious. Today I ordered the Baja Shrimp Wrap for the first time and as usual it was so delicious! Packed with fresh jumbo shrimp and tons of bacon bits- it was a literal flavor explosion! So fresh on a warm summer afternoon! Portion size was huge and I was stiffed, well worth the $16!! My wife ordered her usual salad that she loves and my son ordered the chicken quesadilla and he ate the whole thing! A truly great Bakersfield staple!!! The Santa Fe wrap is amazing and delicious. The wrap has good portion of protein, has good crunch, and is toasted. The sauce they use to make the wrap is like a chipotle mayo/ranch sauce and it takes the wrap to the next level. read more

My husband and I are on a roadtrip and stopped by here for lunch. We were originally going to go to a different spot. I changed it last minute to Salad Sensations, very glad I did. The restaurant is cute and clean, it's like a subway-style set-up, but way fresher and tastier than subway imo. I got a large taco salad with dressing on the side and hubby got the pesto chicken sandwich. Both of our meals hit the spot. I'm not a huge salad person, but I loved my salad-- all the ingredients were so yummy and fresh with great flavor. It was a generous sized salad and I finished it all. Hubby enjoyed his sandwich, as well. I wish we had one of these closer to home. It's hard to find "fast food" that is healthy, delicious, and doesn't weigh you down after you've eaten it. For a healthy meal .... Whether a salad or a wrap this is a decent option. Clean inside with plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. Workers are nice. If you want ur entree to go; make sure you let the staff know prior to making ur meal. I ordered the Santa fe wrap to go.... It was good and huge; but I would prefer my chicken to be warm inside whether than cold. It is a little pricey almost $14 for the wrap with tax and no side. Asked me if I have a frequent flyer card/ rewards card I said no; I guess that was the end of that because they weren't offering to sign me up for one .... Lol . read more

My family and I have frequented this location since it is located so close to our home. The location is located in a new plaza so it is very clean. The parking lot design is not the best in my opinion but that has nothing to do with the establishment. The workers are always very welcoming and greet you as you walk in. Every time we have been there we have been pleased with the food. I normally get a small salad and my daughter normally gets the wrap. The concept is a build your own salad and wrap. The selection of items for the salad is great. And everything is fresh. The workers start by putting the items selected in a bowl and then mix it all up for you before placing it in the to go container. The portion was the right amount for the cost. They also have a rewards punch card system for a free item after multiple purchases. We will continue to eat there and highly recommend it. read more

I was beyond pleasantly surprised in so many ways! Everything was fresh. So many ingredient choices to build your "dream salad"! I also noticed I was able to taste every ingredient in my salad which told me the portions were perfectly balanced! The restaurant was very clean and the employees couldn't be any nicer! Its very affordable as well! I wasn't the only one who enjoyed this place. Within 30 minutes after I arrived, the customer line began forming and it was a full house quickly! People of all ages too! Even though I live by the Valley plaza mall I still drive all the way out here to eat here and support this location. First and foremost the service is always great. The people here are so nice and accommodating. This is also backed up by how yummy and fresh the food is! Sometimes I want to eat "fast food" but don't want the same burgers or tacos and this place always hit. And in this day and age the portions are really great for the price! I like to get mine for here and when it's not 100 degrees outside sit out in their nice little patio. I hope they see this cause I love this place! read more

I frequent Salad Sensations quite often. Everything I have tried from the build your own salads, wraps, pastrami sandwich and most recently, the shrimp tacos, have been very good. I am not sure how I went so long without visiting Salad Sensations! My husband has been raving about the calloway location for about a year now and I just never found it convenient to go to. Well now they've opened a new spot at Heath and Stockdale, so I finally had to give it a try. The customer service here is on point. All the workers were so friendly and helpful and fast. I tried a chipotle chicken wrap and it was super tasty. My husband got a salad. They have a rewards punch card which is pretty cool as well. The restaurant is super clean too. I can't wait to go back and try more things or build my own salad or wrap! So good when you want something healthy but just can't get it together yourself or don't have time. read more

First time here and it was great. I got the Santa Fe wrap and it was very good. The tortilla strips added a nice crunch to the wrap and it was very filling. My husband got the pastrami sandwich and chips and said he really enjoyed that it wasn't as greasy as others he has tried. This lunch felt clean and healthy. The back patio is really nice to get to enjoy when we have nice weather here. We will definitely be back. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our roadtrip looking for a healthy lunch, and this was such a lovely and unassuming spot!! The place is spacious and squeaky clean, which is a big thing for me. The salad bar was also very clean with no visible cross contamination amongst the various toppings. The lady who helped us was so sweet--and I especially liked the touch of asking exactly how much dressing we'd like!! I believe it was the owner who we met, and he was equally as kind! We tried their homemade horchata--it was the BEST we've had in a long time, so cinnamony and sweet! As for the salads, everything was fresh and crisp with not a single wilted leaf! I got the Asian salad which had a lovely dressing that was perfectly balanced; my boyfriend got the chicken taco salad which he loved. Overall, we will definitely be back on our next roadtrip--it's a shame we can't have a location where we are! read more

As an Executive Chef at Que Pasa for over 20 years i felt like it was time to become my own man and start something new. I asked about their signature marinade to get an idea of flavors and they stated it was like a Mexican polo flavor. I made it with some white rice and it worked out really well. The chicken breasts were so thick! You could easily filet them and double your amount. They also didn't appear to have the white lines that I see in the supermarket chicken breasts. I've read those are due to hormones in the chickens. Is it true? I don't know. They have a nice variety of cuts and if you like sausage, they have several flavors! Definitely worth checking out. The shop isn't very big but they have pretty much all the basics you would need if you're planning a BBQ or a simple meal for you and your family. Overall, the shop is clean and tidy. This is no fault of theirs, but whoever designed that parking lot, well, lets just say they didn't consider larger trucks driving through. The parking lot layout for that entire area is just wonky.

I needed five subs all with and without certain items that they normally serve up. The staff of four people that were building the subs were smooth they helped me out. Everything was fine all the subs turned out to everyone's delight. Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. I didn't expect the store to be so busy but it was, I also learned a phrase doing it "Mike's Way" I had no idea what the people were talking about. Next time I go I'll be a more up to speed. My husband ordered the pastrami which comes with pickles and mustard. He added Swiss cheese and says it could have used a little more than what they added. According to him it was good, but nothing remarkable and it had plenty of meat. No negative comments. I had the bacon cheeseburger which came with chopped lettuce, tomato, pickles, and that Thousand Island type pink sauce. The burger was good, it had the taste I was craving. That flat grill char really hit the spot. My burger was drippy. There was one large tomato slice that fit the entire burger. I had to drop some of the lettuce out because it kept falling out anyway and I wanted to have more of the other flavors pop. There was about two slices of bacon and only 3 pickle chips. I personally love pickles so I would ask for extra next time. I also ordered a large fry and large onion ring to share. I preferred the fries over the onion rings but both were good. I like BBQ sauce with my onion rings but I was not a fan of their BBQ. I don't know how to explain the flavor. It was a runny sauce and had almost this Mexican spice flavor to it. I mixed some ranch with it and I liked it better that way. I also ordered a piece of baklava. They said they get other from someone who makes it at home. Risky? Maybe. Worth it? Oh yeah.

I am retracting my old review…read more Today I went back to order burritos at the Ming location instead of the one on Hwy 58 and the employee Melissa did a fantastic job on assisting with my order. We had a small talk she listen and went above and beyond making sure my order was made right. Dropped off the burritos at my clients and minutes after received a large amount of emails one of them from the VP stating how good the burritos were and asked where did I get them from so they can order burritos for their meetings.
