I was served a meatball that was completely burned and yet masked with sauce and cheese. No way it was accidental cause you can clearly see the difference just looking at them! The Chile verde pizza is incredible, the giant slices for $6.99 are unbeatable, every element just hits right on the nose. Their dough is great. Pizza, Jalapeño Poppers, Garlic Bread and wedges are always good. However they have limited delivery areas even though they offer delivery. We ordered from the Oildale store and had delivery from this store before. I was told they normally wouldn't deliver to E. Bakersfield. I'm guessing since it was a Sunday and wasn't busy they would. The girl who took the order didn't even know ANY of the MAJOR streets I gave to her and she had to look up the street and address. She should have seen on the map that it was less than 5 miles. Provided she knew how to read a map. Especially if they use google maps it gives you the distance. You can even send it to your phone. Make up your minds. Either you deliver or not!!!! From the lasagna to the calzone to there delicious pizza's, all mouth watering and satisfying. With any pizza special easily made into a calzone, and the fresh ingredients I am always impressed. I recommend if you want a lasagna order early they only make a certain amount and they sell out fast. The shop is easy to find and the inside always feels clean. Typical Saturday night pizza craving hit hard today. We usually go to queens but my wife said she had gone to Cataldo's for a lunch special and it was amazing. I ordered the Hawaiian since we both love that. Service was great , the employee at the counter was very polite and I was in and out pretty quick since we had called ahead. The pizza and one ranch was 20$. A little more expensive than queens but not as bad as Tony's. One thing I liked about the pizza was that it wasn't greasy at all. The dough wasn't too thick but it was a little too chewy. It was light on the sauce as well as the toppings. Overall it was ok, I mean...Even ok pizza is still pizza. Placed an online order at 7pm to get picked up at 8pm. Showed up at 8:10 and the order still wasn't ready. Finally by 8:20 the order was ready. 1 large pizza and a spaghetti order, which they said they ran out of garlic bread (spaghetti without garlic bread- boooo!). The pizza was good, the meatballs in the spaghetti were good, but the spaghetti wasn't great, kind of reminded me of gradeschool cafeteria spaghetti. Stopped in Cataldo's because my boyfriend was craving a slice of their pizza. I've had it in the past but has been many years since. The employee that helped us was super nice. As we ordered our food to-go and had a little bit of a wait, I was sitting up front listening to people make their order. The cashier was so nice and friendly to everyone and had a pleasant attitude. Way to go! It was really cool that they offer a free soft drink with any purchase when you check in on Yelp. The pizza was good with a crisp crust, which I enjoy. Rude sullen "service" and mediocre pizza. Good sauce and decent crust, but not the greatest-quality cheese and not quite baked enough. The cheese slid off and they were stingy / sparse with the toppings. In the category of "so stupid as to be funny": I asked for garlic powder, which this supposedly "NY-Style" "Italian" place (with "Wassa Matta U?" on one of the interior doors) claimed it didn't have. Asked for oregano then, and the same woman said "we don't sell oregano." She was dimwitted and also apparently looking for an argument. Between this stupidity, pizza not particularly worth a return trip, and most of all the obnoxious attitude of the young woman at the register, we crossed this place off our list. read more

My real problem is the COVID outbreak going on with the employees and staff and the owner, Joe, encouraging employees to come in while they've tested positive. This review is for the calzone only, as I can't speak to the rest of the menu. I ordered a meatball and pepperoni medium calzone. Crust was golden and tasty, cooked well through. It was buttery and garlicky. Meatballs and pepperoni were in generous amounts, and the flavor of the meatballs was excellent. I'm a fan and will absolutely repeat for the calzone. Now this place on Roberts lane is in an absolutely horrific neighborhood. Drugged out zombies are pretty much everywhere, so don't leave the car unlocked when going in to pick up. Also, definitely do not send the wife/girlfriend alone to pick up after dark. Heck, it's pretty sketchy in the daytime too. read more
