This local pizza hot spot is such a welcoming place to have a bite with family and friends. They were so kind to us as we explored the menu. They were not judgemental or pushy because we couldn't decide on the scrumptious looking menu. We we were intriguing to visit this place because of tear ginormous pizza pie. Man oh man!!! Was it huge!!! Family of 6, mostly boys, couldn't finish it. We had to call some more recruits to handle this pie and WE STILL couldn't finish it. Its definitely a great pie for a party full of hungry kids. This place had TVs to watch sports... they offered beers for the adults and pitchers of sodas for the kids. Reminds me those classic pizzerias you see on TV. DEFINITELY a divey place to hang out ... Cant wait to come back and try the rest of the menu... chicken and fried mushrooms are definitely in my sights :)

This was our 1st time here and I was disappointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful so that's a plus. Drinks and beers are good too and prices not to bad for those. Only negative is that they don't have a paper menu to look at only online and above the register. On this visit we chose to get the 8pc chicken and logs well done. We absolutely loved this. It was full of flavor and the logs were huge. Definitely getting this again. Now on to the pizza. The pizza from another table smelled really good so we were excited to try this. We couldn't eat it. The dough was not good and had no flavor. I was so disappointed because I was hoping that this was going to be great. Some of the veggies seemed to have an odor or looked discolored. I will never get this pizza again. I do want to try others as they sell by the slice. The salads looked really good and are huge. We want to give this place another try because we loved the chicken and logs.

I forgot to take a picture before had it was so good! I'm going to go back! We got by the slice and it was a big slice! Basically a personal size pizza. The staff was nice, the atmosphere was good. Booth was a little small but I am a thick girl so that's on me lol but there was plenty tables. I would love to go back again

The slices of pizza are huge. The Raviolois and bread are delicious! The manager is very kind. Big open room with lots of connected tables. Separated room with 3 booths, multiple vending machines, and a crane claw machine in. The place looked very clean. Awesome place to have a quick lunch or dinner with friends and family!

Brooklyn with extra cheese 12" so frigin good!!

Soggy smaller than ever order of zucchini sticks :(

Bummer... asked for double pineapple... not double :( Ordered zucchini sticks... portion was so much smaller than ever. Really hope this place doesn't lose their spark in 2024 like many other businesses in Bakersfield have. This was our favorite! We'll give them one more shot and cross our fingers. I'll let y'all know how it goes next time. :-/

Medium Manhattan Pizza

We were 1 of 2 customers there total, the other table was already eating. Waited 34 minutes for 1 medium pizza & potato logs paid $42 dollars. We've had Cataldo's before & thought the quality would make up for everything but it didn't. Won't be coming back

Their stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer is killer, along with their bread. Can never go wrong dining in here and enjoying the nice patio area or getting take out to enjoy at home!

He was very attentive, helpful, and gave us a nice dining experience. 5 star staff, for sure! We were celebrating 2 birthdays in our family, and everything went wonderfully. Our waiter was polite, gave birthday wishes to them, and the experience altogether with a party of 8 was lovely. The bread they brought out was warm and tasted delicious with butter. I also recommend trying the bread with some olive oil and red wine vinegar. It's super delicious! I had Alfredo pasta with the ricotta ravioli. I switched out the meat sauce (that comes with the ravioli) for the Alfredo sauce. My favorite part of this dish has to be the ravioli. It was a bit oily, but the flavors were great. I shared the chocolate cake with my husband, and we enjoyed it. While it was rich and sweet, it was a bit too sweet for us. However, with a glass of milk or even some coffee, it may help with the rich chocolate taste. I had an Arnold Palmer, and it was good. I may be a bit picky, but there are some lemonades at restaurants that I don't really enjoy (ie- the Minute Maid Lemonade) because of the after taste, which this Arnold Palmer had. However, the balance of the ice tea made up for it. On a Saturday night, the restaurant can be noisy and busy. However, we really enjoyed the ambiance of the location. Their decor, the stones on the wall (in the photo attached), the lighting, the chandeliers, etc were all very lovely and tied together the vibe of the restaurant. I definitely recommend if you're looking for some authentic Italian cuisine! Would come again for sure.

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The place is beautiful.

My husband and I did date night there often when we were dating. The owners were so sweet and knew of Me. I moved out of Bakersfield 6 years ago. I was visiting my parents in Bakersfield two weeks ago who had never been to uricchios and I couldn't wait to take them to dinner there! I called ahead the day before and made reservations for myself, my mom and dad, and my husband. We sat down and the place was empty on a Saturday, just a couple tables occupied. My mom ordered a Cesar salad and it was warm! We waited an hour and 15 minutes and our food never came out. No one came and gave us an update but we kept getting sent numerous appetizers "on the house". Sodas were watered down. Bread was mediocre. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes we got up and left. Whatever was happening in the kitchen was not a good sign! They appeared to be struggling despite being not busy at all. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant, my husband and I had to get in n out on the grapevine for dinner. I was so embarrassed that I even recommended for my family and my husband to do a dinner at uricchios, much less RAVED about it. I'm so sad what has happened to my favorite bakersfield restaurant, but all good things come to an end. I won't ever be back

We were so wrong - this place looks quaint and cozy at first glance but it opens up! After getting sat down with our party, the server took our drink orders and we ordered a mushroom satchel plate for the table. We ended up ordering another plate for the table. Plates were gone before I could get a drool worthy photo. Our drinks came and they were delicious. Like seriously, I'd like to take a moment to remember our drinks. Okay back to it. Despite a largely empty dining room, we were seated at a table which was in the flow of traffic, so not a great first impression. Next, the menu is fairly limited. My permanent date had a hankering for fettuccine Alfredo, and there's no Alfredo sauce on the menu. To be fair, there are also no baked items on the menu, so good luck getting a lasagna or a pizza, and with the Budweiser lights on the walls, the place looks like it used to be a sports bar that's trying for upscale Italian. Staying with the food, the dishes were okay, not great, and for the cost of a main, it seems that restaurants are doing away with complimentary soup and salad to go with the main. My osso bucco ravioli was pretty mediocre. The filling was a paste with no actual texture, but the pasta was al dente. The marinara sauce was bright and tomato forward, but osso bucco really needs a gremolata butter sauce, and with six ravioli, a soup or a salad is really necessary for a satisfying meal. Mom's porcini sachetti were tasty, but the filling was a paste, so the texture of the mushrooms was lost. My permanent date had something called pasta brase, which features the kind of ubiquitous Bolognese sauce the restaurant seems to have pride in, but it comes with sliced sausage and bell peppers. The Bolognese wasn't bad, and neither was the sausage, but it was cut in a way that made it difficult to eat with the toppings. Finally, my offspring had the grilled chicken pasta, and penne wasn't the best choice. Overall, I got bumped a lot, the food was mediocre, the service was lackadaisical, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

Old-School Italian Comfort Food…read more Rosa's is the kind of place that feels like a true Bakersfield institution. Open since the '70s, this restaurant has been serving Italian comfort food to locals for decadea, and judging by how packed it was when we arrived at 5:00 p.m., people clearly still love it! The décor looks like it hasn't changed much since the restaurant first opened, but honestly, that's part of the charm. It's warm, cozy, and inviting, with individual booths in the main dining room and a back room that's perfect for larger parties. I ordered a glass of Sangiovese and the spinach manicotti, while my husband went with the house Chianti and chicken Parmesan. His chicken Parmesan was good, but my manicotti was definitely the winner of the night! You could immediately tell the manicotti was homemade. The pasta shells had that fresh, delicate texture you just don't get from the store bought kind. The filling was comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for from an old-school Italian restaurant. I'll admit, I was definitely worried going into this place. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I left extremely impressed. Sometimes those are the best restaurant surprises The wait staff were another highlight.
