Two things would make this pizza better: Friendlier staff and less salty pizza. I don't mind thick crust, but I got the thin crust instead-- the crust here is okay, the tomato sauce and pepperoni is super salty though. I don't eat the crust unless it's super tasty and I wound up not eating this crust and just eating the slice with the salty toppings. Staff seemed like they were distracted. They kept talking amongst each other and there was no one in front of me or behind me. So service was slow on their own terms. I went on a non busy day and time. Got my food to go and this is a 3 star average pizza place. Rise pizza is definitely better and Vesta is the best further away.

My cannoli was messed up..... Suggestion for to go: wrap it up in parchment paper before putting it in a BIG box....all the chips fell and it was all over the box.

We decided to try this place because it's new, and we love pizza. The first thing I noticed on the menu was that many of the pizzas include pork. Since we don't eat pork, that immediately limited our choices. A few of the pizzas sounded really delicious. For example, the BBQ chicken with pineapple, but it also came with bacon. I'm sure many people enjoy that combination, but it would be nice to have more pizzas without pork. In the end, we ordered the burrata and pesto pizza. The portion size was generous, and the pizza itself looked beautiful. It was tasty, but it wasn't really our style. We prefer thinner crusts, so this one felt a bit too heavy. A good sign for me is whether my husband finishes the whole pizza (he usually does) but this time he didn't, and I ended up eating the leftovers the next day. He told me he didn't like it felt sweet. The price also felt a little high for what we got. One thing I didn't like was the interior of the place. The space felt cramped, and I found the layout a bit confusing when picking up our order. It just didn't feel very welcoming. Overall, I'm glad we gave it a try. If you eat pork, you'll probably have many more interesting options on the menu and may enjoy it much more than we did. If you don't eat pork or prefer thinner-crust pizza, there are other pizza places that might be a better fit. Even some grocery store pizzas, like the ones from Trader Joe's, are surprisingly good!

Meh. Everyone hyped this place up so much and it did not meet the standards. I've tried it 3 times now, so this review is credible. The first time, I got a hot honey pizza right out of the oven, and when I opened it up, it was a thick crust, although I ordered thin. The crust needed a big, long bite just to chew, which is not enjoyable. Bad bad bad experience the first time. 4.1/10. So I gave it another shot! I thought I just got a faulty pizza due to it not being thin crust, so I had to get a thin (depicted). This one was a lot better. It had a little crunch, but still super floppy with an okay under carriage (Dave Portnoy style lol). Nothing great, but a lot better than the first time. 6.4/10. I went back last week - since I didn't get any meat on the last pizza, I wanted to see how the carnivore slice was. The slice had barely to no sauce and cheese on it, which was weird for a more premium slice of pizza. The sausage and pepperoni tasted really good, but it just felt like I was eating bread with meat on it. I also tried a vegetarian slice although I am not vegan, to prove that I tried everything!!! It was alright all of the slices have no sauce and skimpy on the cheese. 5.7/10. The inside was very cool with paintings of Steph and the Godfather (depicted). You can definitely feel the difference than being in a pizza my heart. Everything is a lot more clean and organized.

I'm a big fan of Slice House and glad that it's in the neighborhood. Place your order up front at the cashier. You can pick a slice or get anything on the menu. They have a different special slice each day of the week. I liked double sausage slice. Hefty slice with decent amount of toppings. They do re-heat the slices for you. So if you want something more fresh than order off the menu. Slices are about $8 and up. About 4 tables inside and outdoor seating. Street parking

It is nice to see yet another new pizza place open up in Millbrae, especially in the downtown Millbrae area. As expected in the area, parking can be hit or miss. The inside of the restaurant is decently sized with a good amount of tables available for those who would like to dine there. Slice House is a bit unique in the sense that it offers multiple styles of pizza, including New York, Detroit, Grandma, and Sicilian. I ordered the Motorhead on Sicilian since I was intrigued by the focaccia-like crust. The Motorhead includes tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, mushrooms, pepperoni, applewood smoked bacon, Italian sausage, ricotta, and basil. Since I don't like how pepperoni usually makes the pizza oilier, I hoped to substitute the pepperoni with extra Italian sausage. However, I was told that I am able to remove toppings but cannot substitute; if I wanted to make this change I would need to pay an extra $5 to add Italian sausage even after removing pepperoni in order to "respect the craft." After looking at the menu, I realized there is no way to create your own pizza from scratch by choosing specific toppings of your choice. The pizza was quoted to be ready in 45 minutes, which seemed quite long relative to quoted wait times from other pizza spots; fortunately I ordered ahead. The Sicilian is advertised to be 11" x 17" but didn't really look too big in person for some reason. The whole Sicilian pizza only provided six large squarish slices. I enjoyed the focaccia-like pizza dough although others felt it was too bready. The dough was also a tad oily even after not including pepperoni. I felt the amount of toppings per slice was adequate and overall tasted good on the Sicilian. Overall, I did enjoy my first pizza from Slice House, although it was a bit pricier than I was expecting. I hope that in the future they could add the option to choose your own toppings or at least allow you to swap out toppings since most of their menu offerings have pepperoni which I do not care for. I do want to return to try their other pizza styles.

I'm so excited that Slice House is now in Millbrae! This location right on El Camino is convenient but parking can be a challenge, especially on the weekends or during lunch/dinner time. Online ordering is available and recommended as they are pretty busy and the wait for takeout could be 45 minutes or longer. I picked up a XL Paesano and medium Wiseguy. My order wasn't quite ready upon arrival. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and bright. As usual, both pizzas were delicious!

Been here a few times now and the pizza is consistently great. They offer a wide variety of daily slices, which I love for quick visits. The pepperoni is one of my favorites, they use the small ones and are generous with it, which makes every bite so good. They also have Sweet Gino's, which is another favorite of mine. We've also tried the Wiseguy and the buffalo wings, and everything has been solid so far. Customer service has always been good. The space itself is on the smaller side, but they do have outdoor seating available. There's a public parking lot nearby along with street parking, which makes it pretty convenient. Pricing feels fair for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, really glad they opened this location -- we used to drive out to the Belmont one, so this is a great addition for us.

I feel like I'm cheating on Totos every time I come here. So this place opened up a couple months back and everybody in the area was excited about it. Yes, the hype is real. There is a really good selection of delicious pizza and on certain days they have specialty pizzas made. Make sure you come in on Saturday for the pepperoni and hot honey slice. The place is a little small, but if you're lucky you'll get a seat. Other than that, call in an order, stop by and take your stuff home. Other than the pizza they have salads and a bunch of other offerings. I can't stop coming here! Sorry Totos...

My first visit and I was really excited to get pizza from them since I moved out of the city over 5 years ago. First, the service wasn't great. The guy barely held back a sigh as he took my order. When my order was ready, he didn't even look at me when he handed me my pizza, just continued talking to his coworker. Didn't respond to my "thank you" either. It's not like it was busy when I visited either (4 people in the restaurant, not counting employees). Second, they were extremely stingy with toppings. I got a medium pepperoni. One slice has like 3 pepperoni pieces on it. See attached pic. The dough/crust is also too thick. It's like they just put together a shoddy pizza because they thought I wouldn't care. Staff here needs to step it up. Service and pizza here is a far cry from what I remember from Tony's in SF.

Been here twice and had great food and great service both times. Parking can be a little tough sometimes but it's a nice area to get to walk around.

The Detroit and Grandma slices were excellent. I wouldn't have tried this place because the pricing is higher than I normally pay for pizza. It's on par with other places that sell Detroit style, but that whole market is typically more than I spend. But their rewards program gives a welcome coupon, and on your birthday, you get a free slice. I'm glad I tried it out, because now I know what I've been missing, and have been back twice since then. While I think I slightly prefer Pizza My Heart's crust to Slice House's "NY Style" pizzas, I definitely prefer Slice House/s other offerings over PMH's single style. Every day, they have a NY style daily special, and a Detroit Style daily special. We had the Little Italy daily Detroit-style special. We also had the Hot Ron and Cheese of the NY style, and one of the grandma style with tomato, mozz, and basil. One slight bummer was that when I tried to use a $5 coupon, I didn't realize until after my card went through that the coupon wasn't applied, since it had a $15 min purchase requirement. I asked if I could cancel and place the order again with an additional slice to hit that min purchase. They said they couldn't cancel an order that was already sent to the kitchen. So then I ended up buying two more, which ended up being too much pizza, and we regretted getting so much. Kind of a bummer that they weren't able to cancel a single slice order even though I had never even left the counter. But the place is clean (which I would hope, since they are new), and the staff was efficient and nice without being overly "fake" friendly. The seating area is small. I like that it's within pretty easy walking distance of the Safeway/TJ's, because parking in that area can be a bit tough otherwise.

Came for Friday lunch. We shared a couple slices and a Cesar salad. All the food was so delicious. Some of the best pizza slices I've had. You walk in and order. They give you a number for your table and then they bring you the food when it's ready. Limited space, but they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The front has nice big windows, so it feels spacious even when you're sitting inside. Looking forward to coming back and trying more slices.

Upon arrival, we were told that another party was finishing up, and our table would be ready "in 3 minutes." Fast-forward to 30 minutes later (7pm) and our table still wasn't ready. We decided to just sit outside (despite this not being our preference and - again - we had a 6:30pm indoor reservation). An employee (said his name was Will) was friendly and apologetic - apparently 2 large tables rolled in without notice which threw off their planning for the evening. We understood and were empathetic, but at the same time, there was more that could have been done. Will mentioned that the party sitting at our table had already paid but continued to sit there, as if there was nothing he could do about it. However, I (and I'm pretty confident most people) have experienced being asked politely to wrap things up during a busy service when other guests are waiting on the table or have a reservation. Since he prioritized their table over us, he could have offered to comp us something small, but he didn't do that either. Food was tasty though prices were a bit steep. We also ordered 2 cocktails and were surprised how small they were. One final note: I originally ordered the Lavender Spritz cocktail. I was then informed they were out, so I tried to order a Last Word. Unfortunately, our waiter was unfamiliar with it. I asked if she could check with the bartender, and if they couldn't make a Last Word, I would take a margarita with tajin. She then asked me "what's tajin?" At that point, I gave up and told her I just wanted a regular margarita. Pretty disappointed as I've been dying to try Cafe Figaro for months after reading all the great reviews.

I was mopping up the extra sauce with focaccia bread :) Butternut squash gnocchi was pillowy soft and sweet from the squash. Bread pudding w/ maple brandy sauce + crème anglaise was the best! Warm, custardy, crispy edges, and that maple brandy sauce hits with a sweet a with a little boozy warmth 10/10. Will definitely be back for date night!

They were very generous with the protein in the paella, and the empanadas were yummy and had good breading. The octopus was very tender with a smoky char. The calamari had a light and crispy batter to it. The patatas bravas were just okay, there was nothing particularly exceptional about them. The sampler is a good item to order if you'd like to get a taste of multiple appetizers without wanting to load up on them! The sliders had very thick patties and were well seasoned. Service was quite good, I'm not sure if I would come back.

Realistically a 3.5/5. Came here for Valentine's Day and it was good! We had reservations at 6:30,…read morebut came at 5:30 to see if they could seat us and they were actually able to! The hostess and waitress were both very nice & lovely. What I didn't really like was them telling every table when getting seated that they're putting a 1 hour limit since it was Valentine's Day. It just felt distasteful but we also didn't feel rushed out. I think it started getting really crowded around 6:30. The tables were also very close together, I think they tried to stuff as many tables as they could since it was Valentine's Day. There wasn't a lot of room in between tables to even go to the restroom. We were seated near the entrance as well so I had people bumping into my chair whenever they came in. We ordered the Gambas Al Ajillo, Paella and the short ribs. Gambas Al Ajillo: good flavor, a little spicy/sour but was just a little bit too salty. Paella: This was really good, but not the best i've had. I still prefer the paella from Picaro. There was a lot of toppings but I feel like there wasn't enough rice. Short Ribs: These were good, but I feel like it was expensive for what you got. It came with potato wedges and mixed veggies. Some of the meat was also a little bit tough, but the other pieces melted in your mouth. Overall, I would come back! Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was good.

You can't go wrong with a #3 and a pepperoni with garlic (a must try!). As someone who's had some of the best pizza in Little Italy in San Diego and in New York, Toto's is still my favorite. The sauce, bubbly crust, and flavor are incredible. The restaurant itself is no frills, but that's exactly what I'd expect from an authentic pizzeria. Good food, amazing smells, a clean dining room, sports on the TVs, and a family friendly atmosphere. We go out of our way to come here every year and even bring some home because it's just as good the next day. Pizza here is 5 stars!!

SMALL pepperoni, sausage and mushroom for $34.50. The same pizza is $25.99 at the OTHER famous San Bruno pizza joint across the street. For decades, kids from the Bruno fought over these 2 spots. I've ALWAYS been the Toto's guy. Not anymore. You own the property. Your staff isn't enormous. Real ingredients don't cost that much. You're gouging your customers. Toto's has always been a family joint. Now the only family who can afford it are the Kardashians. I suggest you freeze future price hikes until you run it by me.
