Ube Pizza that appears to be tampered with. the crusts don't line up...
    Anthony Z.

Got a little lost when first coming here, but it's in the building left of the Barebottle brewery (you ring a doorbell to pickup). It's basically a ghost kitchen. Parking is tough as expected, but as a pickup/delivery only place it's not too bad for a quick grab'n'go. I ordered an Ube Pizza, and the total came out to around $40 after tax. A little pricey considering the pizza didn't have as much meat as I expected, around 20 pieces of sausage for an 18" pizza. The pizza is on the thinner side, and I liked how it was not too cheesy and heavy. Although it's an 18", we only had 2 pieces left over after my wife and I felt full. There are parts of the pizza where they put ube filling, and you definitely taste it when you bite into it. The filling is the size of a very large pepperoni, so you do get a decent sweet flavor when you get to it. It also felt a little off that a quarter of the pizza seemed to be cut and eaten since it doesn't line up to an circle...there's a clean cut in my picture with regards to this concern. I felt that my pizza was a little overcooked since it tasted a little burnt and had some black burn marks (a little too many for a thin pizza). Is the ube pizza worth the hype? Personally, no. You don't really taste the ube apart from the filling, and even if the pizza may look a little purple, the taste was too minuscule to really tell it apart from food coloring, though it really pops on Instagram. Good for a novelty pizza, but the $40 price tag with the less-than-generous topping portions doesn't incentivize me to come back.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was seriously impressed. The pepperoni pizza was a standout--crispy edges, flavorful, and not greasy at all, which is hard to find. It had that perfect balance of salty and savory without leaving you reaching for a napkin every two seconds. But the real surprise? The prosciutto. Thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth good, and packed with flavor. It added a nice touch of richness without being overpowering. You can really tell they're using quality ingredients here. The crust had a great chew, and the overall vibe of the place was welcoming and relaxed. Great spot whether you're grabbing a slice on the go or sitting down for a full pie. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

I just found out about Spinning Dough. I was at Barebottle with my kid and sister when I noticed everyone with pizza boxes being delivered to the table. I asked the beertender and they gave me the link to scan and order. Spinning Dough is operating for delivery only out of the culinary kitchen next door to Barebottle. We just ordered a simple cheese pizza, but it was really good. It was the sauce and the pizza crust that set this pizza aside from just any cheese pizza. So the next time you are craving good beer and good pizza, look no further than Spinning Dough!

Knew of Spinning Dough from when they were located in Oakland but never got a chance to visit. I was sad when they closed, only to be delighted to hear that they opened in a closer location to my vicinity. Their new location is take out only. You'll find seating next door at Barebottle Brewing Co which is kid and dog friendly indoors. At the brewery, you'll find a QR code for Spinning Dough online ordering system. The pizza will be delivered to the brewery's entrance. Their pizza combinations are so unique. I finally decided on EatsbyRachel's Blackberry Pizza and Ube. The Blackberry pizza was topped with blackberry bechamel, blackberries, Parmesan, ricotta, crushed pistachios, drizzled with honey and topped with basil. This pizza was on the sweeter side and similar to eating baked Brie with berry compote on bread. The Ube pizza was topped with sliced potatoes, sausage, red onion, Ube ricotta, and scallions. I've typical eat Ube as sweet dishes. This pizza was savory and can taste the Ube throughout with the ube ricotta. The combination really worked will together. The sausages not too salty. Both pizza flavors were well balanced. The pizza crust was thin, crispy and slightly charred. I can't say which was my favorite as they were both delicious and contracting flavors. I'm excited to visit again to try their other pizzas.

The owner Jeff moved Spinning Dough to a new location in San Francisco. He is operating out of Bare Bottles Brewery commissary kitchen. This is a great location because it brings in the crowd from Bare Bottles who come for drinks. The Ube pizza here is so unique and so good! It's not too heavy and the thin slice is so easy to eat. Who would have thought Ube pizza with savory sausage would be a good together? Got to try it! My friend loved it too! I have to come back for the bulgogi pizza!

One of a kind ube pizza in the Bay Area!! 5/5 for sure. Their ube pizza dough is so soft, yummy, and sweet from the ube but savory enough to hold delicious toppings. The pork sausage was just a tad spicy which complimented the sweet flavors beautifully. I'll definitely be back for this one. Originally located in Oakland, the guy shared they closed that location down a month ago and reopened here. Great place with the brewery next door that allows outside food! Their address listed on the site is basically just for office/kitchen space, but you place an order online and ours was ready in just about 20 minutes. When the order is ready, you call their phone number and they'll bring it out to you. If you're grabbing drinks at bare bottles, they have a QR code at the counter where you can specify where in the tap room you are, and when the pizza is ready, they'll bring it out to you.

This place is a MUST try! If you're not in the area, you need to make your way here and try it. I got the Ube, Longanisa, and Miso Mushroom pizzas. Everything was delicious as always. My favorite has always been the Ube pizza, but I think I'm starting to gravitate toward the Miso Mushroom The owner, Jeff, is an awesome guy--always bringing the best energy and attitude. I love coming here and will always be back. Thank you for existing!

The famous Spinning Dough from Oakland is back!! They recently relocated to SF next to bare bottles brewery in Bernal Heights. The pizza is exactly the same super yummy and delicious. Although it's take out only you can go next door and grab a beer to enjoy with your pizza. My go tos: Ube Pizza, Blackberry Pizza (I know), and Miso Mushroom! The owner Jeff is super nice and friendly definitely check them out!

We were in town for the Giants game. And saw the ad on INSTAGRAM. And thought..Why not!?! And couldn't pass up UBE PIZZA!!!! Sooo drove alittle out the way. And it was pretty worth it. At first bite, you don't expect it. But There was actually purple yams slices on top & inside the pizza. And the Sausages really gives it a pop of flavor after each bite. Good Job From Sacramento!!! We did pick up-so you have to go to the actually door to pick up. Not at the brewery.

The pizzas are absolutely delicious, the first time we had an ube to go. This time we had a seat in the brewery. It's a nice space that's meant for friends and games as it gets quite loud. Worth a visit!

Let me preface this with saying that I've never been to an official Square Pie Guys location…read more However, in speaking with friends who have tried both, they said that they can't really tell the difference. When I say we were excited to hear Local Kitchens (LK) was partnering with Square Pie Guys (SPG), it would be an understatement. SPG has long been on our list of places we want to try due to its delicious presence on social media, and the fact that it's locally grown. PARKING: This is located within the LK location in the Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno. There are a bunch of other businesses in the center such as Starbucks, Mollie Stone's, and CVS, so there is plenty of free parking. There is a little side lot that seems to be dedicated mostly to LK, based on its proximity. A few of the spaces are labeled as specifically for LK customers and pick up orders. ORDERING: There are two ways to order your food at LK. In person at the kiosk, or on the app. I definitely recommend using the app, as you're more casually able to browse the menu from the comfort of your car or home. The SPG pizzas take particularly long to cook due to its thiccness, so I especially recommend ordering ahead when indulging here. Once inside, there is a large screen that shows your name and the estimated time of completion. Ordering through the app also allows you to collect points to use for rewards such as $$ off future purchases! NOTE: If you order ahead and get there a bit earlier than the estimated time, go up and chat with the friendly LK staff. They'll check on your order, and oftentimes it's ready before the original time! FOOD: They have four (4) pizza options to choose from at this location: The 6x8, The Big Von, Mush-o-Roni, and Regular Square. They range from $21-$26 depending on which one you get. Our favorite is The 6x8. It has "red sauce, and 48 pepperonis", classically delicious. They use the smaller pepperonis that curl up when they cook, which is the best. The Big Von was another tasty one, though pretty different. It has white sauce instead of red, still has pepperoni, but also adds Italian sausage and Mike's hot honey. The Regular Square is more of a classic cheese, and the Mush-o-Roni has red sauce, mushrooms, tiny pepperonis, Mike's hot honey, parsley, and grana cheese! All of their pizzas are THICC, and best of all, they have a delicious crispy cheese skirt that covers the entire perimeter of the pie. They also have Buffalo wings on the menu (6 for $15). We've ordered these a few times and would say they're solid. The buffalo sauce is flavorful and it comes with carrot sticks and a side of ranch. NOTE: I will say, the ranch is unfortunately not my favorite. It's not quite as thick as I'd prefer, and it has a heavy taste of dill that overpowers everything else. I loove ranch, but for $1/ea I will order it sparingly, if at all. They also have sides of their signature sauce, which is more of an aioli, and also sides of Mike's hot honey. TIP: You can also order sides of sauces from other LK partners, so have fun with it! OVERALL: This pizza smacks! I love the thiccer style, and the cheese skirt takes it to the next level. They cut them into four (4) slices, and they're big enough that we could either stuff ourselves with two, or save them for the next day and have a second meal. It makes me want to make the trek out to one of their actual restaurants to try some different options! Shoutout to all of the hardworking staff at LK. They're dealing with a lot of orders from various platforms, and the chefs are expertly creating dishes from over a half dozen different restaurants. All the staff I've dealt with here have been great, and I've specifically had lots of positive and helpful interactions with Brianne. Thanks again, I'm already craving my next pizza!! The two pizzas were ready after about 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered the 6x8 and the Big Von. Both had the crunchy and fresh toasted cheese sides and soft/buttery tasting crust. The cheese was oozing and toppings were generous. Ingredients were fresh. Did have to heat up the pizza when I got home to get the full effect. 2 pieces really hit the spot. Did not taste any Mikes Hot Honey on the Big Von, although the white sauce was really flavorful. For the sauces ranch was a hit, but the SPG sauce tasted too much like a mustard and relish with thousand island - maybe better for a burger or chicken strips than pizza. Compared to the OG locations, it was pretty much the same although the crunchy sides felt like a little less cheese. Would definitely go back if craving Square Pie Guys!
