    Pizza! PIZZA! !
    Chris M.

Felt like I was walking into a proper New England pizza joint! No bells and whistles...just delicious pizza. Thin crust...thick crust...whatever you're looking for. Limited seating which actually makes it even better! Felt super fortunate to grab a seat at the little bar area. The staff...THE STAFF! That bar seating afforded me the wonderful opportunity to chat with them. Aaannd, it's the type of place that a soon as I started chatting I felt like I was at my hometown spot. I also got to see a guy come in that hadn'tbeen there for a few years. The only thing that was more exciting to him than the pizza he was getting was sparking up a convo with staff members he had such fond memories of. THAT'S BIG!

Went here after volunteering at Backpack Brigade today with my coworkers and got a few slices. They did not have enough slices for 15 people all at once (or at least they ran out of a few of their pies) but that was ok since I think we were all still able to get full. The pizza was pretty decent but nothing crazy for $4 a slice. I ordered the Hawaiian and also the Chicken BBQ and thought they were pretty good. Glad to see that they had a fair amount of vegetarian options for my vegetarian coworkers! Not a lot of sitting space since it's a small shop but if it is not raining there are some benches outside for customers that are good to sit and eat on.

Okaaaayyy this place is pretty goooooood. They got a super crispy but flavorful crust. Perfect thickness to fold up. I love the pepperoni bowls that pool up all the flavorful oils. Not a pizza you eat without a few napkins. After you pick out your slice(s), they'll heat them up in the oven for you and wait around 3ish mins. Very small place so it's more of a grab and go vibe (there's a bench and 3 or 4 stools).

    Meat Lovers - heated

Kenji is right, this is a good pizza spot. I ordered 3 slices - one heated and two cold. The heated meat lover's slice was delish and hit the spot! It gets bonus points for an extra crispy crust especially after being reheated in the oven. The remaining slices were enjoyed at home where my daughter is perfectly content reheating in the microwave. They have a nice selection of pizzas to choose from. You order at the counter and the slices are warmed up for you.

Best pizza in Seattle. I go here once a week, and take it to go during work. Services is good and friendly. Not much space to eat inside but they have a little bar with 4 seats.

Some low key delicious pizza! Wish the Sodo location was open on Saturdays too. The pep square was pretty heavy and I actually enjoyed the BBQ chicken more. Service was quick and easy. Grab and go after some heating. It's located on 1st a little down from the Stadiums and it's got a hole in the wall vibe. I'd definitely come back for some quick lunch next time I'm around.

The whole pie order placed by the MKE Yelper - thin crust cheese w/ basil (11/4/22)

The MKE Yelper drove down from Bellingham, detoured in Seattle on his way to Portland. I was able to join him for a pizza slice in Seattle's SoDo/Industrial District. Slice Box Pizza is located south of the sports complexes, Lumen Field and TMobile Park, look for the yellow green awning. If you went past Krispy Kreme southbound, you went too far. I was able to get nearby 2 hour street parking. Lots of folks lined up since it was noonish/lunch time, then leaving shortly with takeout boxes. Good sign. No onsite dining, only a few chairs indoors and on the sidewalk. Glancing at the pizza case...nice variety available by the slice, both NY style thin crust and Detroit style. Friendly counter and takeout window staff, busy kitchen crew. The MKE Yelper's prepaid order was ready and kept warm atop an oven. He ordered a whole large pizza. Kept box closed on my car's dashboard until his arrival. Decent, thin crust with tomato sauce, cheese topping with spare basil leaves baked on. Late to this pizza party since the FTR was posted Aug 2016. Better late than never, right? First visit, ate one slice. Not bad. Probably would be even better if piping hot from the oven, note to self.

Well now, I like my pizza like I like my gulags, busy, hot, and meaty. The dining experience here is the equivalent of a picnic lunch in the park prepared by Kathy Mitchell with a scantily clad Dana Scully helping you out on those perfect new socks from Costco (Jerry Garcia guitar plays in the background) and all the forest creatures come and join you as you feed them little niblets of fennel sausage and mozzarella clumps. Theodore's favorite slice is the zesty white slice with the ricotta clumps and basil strips, I asked him why he likes it so much and he said "it taste good" ..... of course! And I understand! but daddy's on a budget today so it's regular cheese slice for you my little fuzzball. As for me, my favorite slice is the meat lovers as I am a man, and a greasy one at that! you see, Long long ago when I was just a little mully, I would often break into my great uncle cheborneks butcher shop and gnaw on the 'lami's ... it was very rare I would get caught in the act but when I did he would exclaim "BLUANCHI! YOU LITTLE KHAKI WEARIN CREEP! KEEP YOUR DAMN CHAWS OFF THE SALSICCE!" And then he would through a shoe at me, and let me tell you, the guy had an arm like a freakin' eggplant! I often wondered why he never took up baseball pitching. They got all kinds of fluids to consume here too, soda pops, beers, and waters, motion water and Stillwater. Heck even salads if you are one of those festival goers. Look, the point is the pizza is succulent, the ambiance is palatial, and the employees spicy and thorough to say the least. Don't be a bimbo, go eat at pizza store sodo.

New York but in SODO! With gentlemen working there who are extremely welcoming and friendly. I wasn't craving pizza because I just had a calzone and pasta the day prior. I wasn't even hungry, honestly, but I was already in the area and saw Slice Box as a highly rated spot with comments about New York style pizza! I love New York style pizza, especially the cheap ones in New York, so I wanted to check out our version over here in Seattle. It did not disappoint, a great spot to try New York pizza for the first time, even if it's not exactly the real deal. Little pricey though, basically $5-6 slices. Not the $1 street pizza you'll have in New York, but tastes fantastic. I was not sure what to try, but the Meat Lover's came fresh out the oven as soon as I was ordering so I opted for that and a Sicilian Slice. For the Meat Lover's, the crust was so crisp and crunchy, uniform throughout. Slightly thin and easy to fold in half, I found it similar to pizzas in New York. However, the toppings weren't too impressive as it felt very little (I understand the fear of it falling apart, but I think there could've been more). A good replacement to curb a New York style pizza craving in Seattle! Sicilian Pizza is more of a thick crust style. The dough is fluffy and maybe even sponge-like. Being reheated, it was a bit overcooked and burnt but if it were fresh or slightly less burnt, it would've been amazing. I was initially disappointed about the dough, but the burnt crispiness slowly grew on me. As you can see it's cut into a square typically. The highlights of the Sicilian Pizza were the cheese and pesto. Not sure what cheeses was used here exactly, but they were delicious. If it weren't for me having to catch the light rail, I would have returned and got some more pizza. I only got two slices to try as I wasn't sure what to expect.

Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. Probably could have finished it myself if I hadn't stopped for a lobster roll beforehand. Either way, great service, good drinks and legit pizzas!

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Ambiance: Located near the waterfront, it felt like a classic pizzeria Service: Excellent service, and the person working was super nice Beef Blue Cheese (5/5): One of the best pizza slices I have ever had. It had sesame seeds on the crust, which was a level of deliciousness. I'm generally not a big fan of blue cheese, but this was a more toned-down creamy sauce on top. Complimented so well with the minced beef. I asked for it to be extra toasted, and that was the peak eating experience. Would come again once I get the chance to return to Seattle. Super solid pizza spot.

One of the best things about life and being alive! Can you tell I am a bit of a pizza rat haha? Anyhow, I was enjoying the beautiful summer night in Seattle and was hungry around 9:30pm. A lot of places are closed already but this reliable pizza place was open. SWEET!! I walked in and lady working the counter was super nice and helpful. I got a slice of Italian supreme, which has everything. Now looking back though I wish I had gotten one of their Turkish dishes as I would have liked to try their lahmacun and read another Yelpers review and this place is supposed to have the best Turkish lahmacun in the US. Oh well, I guess I will be back! The woman heated up my slice and after a few minutes, it was ready. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Id definitely come back here again when back in this area. Thanks for feeding me and if you need a late night spot, this is your place!

I stopped in to try it out and spoke with the bartender who gave me a card to contact the manager. Hope they get back to me! My experience was good. The bartenders were attentive and made good drinks. The ambiance is nice and cozy with little lamps. I liked the visual menu. I will say that the drinks are a bit overpriced at more than $20 per drink. Down the street at Zig Zag Cafe they are $17 for a bit "finer dining" feel.

Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
