Came here about 3 weeks ago with my fiancé to purchase a new bed as we just signed a lease for a new place. Spoke with the manager Colin at this location who helped us out. We bought a bed frame from Living Spaces and showed Colin what it looked like. He advised us exactly what to get with the bed so that it will work with the frame we purchased from Living Spaces. We didn't hesitate, we purchased what was told to us. Fast forward to 2 weeks after. Friday June 5th was our delivery date. The Sleep Number delivery truck comes to our new place, the driver takes one look at our bed frame, and immediately tells us what we purchased will not work with our bed frame. How can this be when the manager of Sleep Number advised us on what to purchase exactly AFTER showing him the bed frame we bought? Now we have no bed and what we actually need is going to take another week for delivery. The deliver driver even told us that this happens often. Great, an extra week of sleeping on the couch. The worst part of this is, I called the store the same day. Andrew picked up and told me Colin isn't in. No worries, I told him to have Colin give me a call the next day when he is in. Next day comes, no call. Sunday comes and I had to call in again to get a hold of Colin, which I did. Spoke to him about the frustrations of this entire experience and he told me that he's sorry but his team (and other managers) in the area wasn't aware of the bed not being able to work with our specific bed frame. So what? You don't know how your own product works and you're just trying to make the sale? So ridiculous. After explaining my frustration with him and the longer wait time for what we actually need I even get a "yeah whatever". Nice, the manager that's supposed to be representing Sleep Number really knows customer service. End of the day, you go back to companies by the customer support you receive. Not the product. And this is the last time I'm ever going to purchase any Sleep Number products from this location. If you're thinking of buying a new bed, don't go here. If the manager doesn't know what's supposed to work with your bed frame, how can you trust anybody else will know. And Sleep Number, get a new manager in here ASAP. read more

I purchased a sleep number matteress on March 10th 2023... I have always had issues with the app on my phone. But now my bed has not worked for 2 months. I have been on and off with the customer service trouble shooting and still my bed does not work... The rep told me to get on the floor under my bed.. Which is really difficult for ne since I recently had back surgery... I have just dealt with my uncomfortable bed. I called the "Sleep Number" customer service again. I was told bt the rep that I have to pay $190.00 to have a techician just to come out and see what the problem is.. Then of course parts if needed. I'm VERRY VERRY UNHAPPY with this Seep Number Product!! I would not reccomended this bed to anybody ever.. !!!! Really a $6,000 bed and this is what you get?????? Safe your money read more

DO NOT BUY A SLEEP NUMBER BED. This has been the absolutely worst purchase. Save your money and buy a regular bed. Here's why: 1. It feels like an air mattress. You are literally sleeping on a giant air mattress. I thought that the store model was so comfortable, so I bought the same model but it doesn't feel the same at all. 2. Customer service is terrible. We have reached out to Sleep Number for a number of issues: our foot warmer stopped working, the app has a bunch of bugs, we have asked to return or exchange, and they refuse to help. 3. The features suck. Our foot warmer stopped working. When a power outage happens, you don't have control of your sleep number or position. My spouse and can't snuggle because of the split in the middle. Finding sheets is impossible. My app doesn't sync and doesn't set to my profile, so I can control my spouse's wife from my phone but not mine. 4. Regular beds are so much more comfortable. I am a believer in good sleep as an overall health benefit, and I fell for the Sleep number trap. But yourself a comfortable bed that is not an air mattress. Most weeks, I sleep in our guest bed because my sleep is sod bed in our sleep number bed. read more

My husband and I are in the market for a new bed due to our current mattress being old and causing us aches and pains. I decided to come into Sleep Number and was greeted by the lovely Alexis who was absolutely delightful. She greeted me with a smile and for the entire duration of my visit (which was about 30-40 mins) she provided me with tons of information about the technology, the variety of mattresses, and had me try out the mattresses. While the mattress is good, moving the mattress is a nightmare!!! If you plan to ever move think twice with this mattress. You have to pay $250 to have them disconnect the bed and another $250 to reconnect the bed! When calling to make this appointments they lead you to believe that they prepare it for moving. THEY DO NOT. You have to buy the wrapping or box on your own. Getting ahold of anyone on the phone is near impossible. They are unclear once you get ahold of anyone, they expect you to know everything they didn't tell you. Just beware and know that no-one goes above for anything. read more

Sleep Number pillow called VariaCool is just that it's a great support pillow...at 149.00 plus tax it should be. Have had the pillow less than a year the company recommended to change pillows after 2years its even on the pillow tag....Great! The problem is the cover that holds all 3 rectangular foam shapes in place nice and high and tight...The zipper broke and the recommendations is to buy another $150 pillow or put in a floppy pillow protector that is open ended and will not have the same form. The store turned me over to the 1800 number who also told me I had no options...Casper Sleep Store here I come. Sleep Number you can loose my number. read more

Bed shopping is the worst!!! So many choices and options to consider. It's a big investment of money and time. Brad and Alexis made this overwhelming process as smooth as any bed buying process could be. We are so so so grateful to have had them help us. Brad helped us initially and really took his time explaining all the different bed types and options. He didn't put pressure on us to make a decision and was patient with us. He had an answer for all of our questions and explained everything we needed to know really well. Both Brad and Alexis helped us get our financing in order. They even called us to give us UNEXPECTED AND AWESOME news that they had a better promotion that we qualified for and that our sales price would be less than we expected. They helped us pick perfect sheets to purchase with some of the money we saved. They set up our delivery and kept us informed every step of the way. We stopped in a few times to look at their pillow selection and ended up buying two pillows with the rewards we incurred on our sleep iq app (which Alexis hammered into our brains to take advantage of). We have had a few issues with our bed and bedding and each time, these two have taken care of every need or problem we have had that same day. They never batted an eye and helped us find what solution would work best for us. We now just stop by the store just to say hi because we love these two so much for helping us find a bed and bedding that was comfortable. Most of all though, we stop by to see them just to say hi because they are such nice people. I would recommend these two to anyone looking for a bed. read more

Walked in to buy pillows walked out with a new bed. How did Brad do that I am not quite sure but it happened. My mother in law and I walked in to look at their pillows since mine and my husbands are now about 4 years old and we thought it was time for an update. While in there we were greeted by Brad who offered to answer any questions. Once we got to talk to him it came out that my mother in law needed a new more comfortable bed. Brad was very knowledgeable on the kind of beds and the key differences. After some debating my MIL decided this was the right choice for her. Once she picked a bed Brad helped her get the best price out there and informed her of all the benefits of the bed including the app features. She was able to get bad sheets, comforter, and pillows all for a great price. We can't wait for the bed to be delivered and installed (included in the price). Very happy with the service at the Pleasanton Sleep Number store. (They will be moving to Dublin late summer 2022). Brad was our sales person ( and I believe is the store manager there). This wasn't our first SN mattress, so we were familiar with the beds (which we love), but Brad did walk us threw the new models and the differences. Was able to get us a great price since we were a return customer as well. Even though our bed as being delivered to a different location out of state, he was able to facilitate all of it from this store. After the install he even followed up to make sure everything went well. Really felt like he wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible (which we did). I will make it easy and to the point. Stay clear from these fancy beds. First they cost a lot of money , second if something goes wrong all you will keep doing is call. It's been 2 months and my bed needs a pump but guess what since my bed is 5 years old with warranty they do it have a pump for it because they modified the pump for the new bed and it wouldn't fit my 9000+ dollar bed. Manager I spoke to was nice but after waiving the fee for the new pump which was my copay she never called back. I am still sleeping on the floor with a 2 month old child. read more

We did our homework online before visiting the Sleep Number Store. So when we visited the actual store, we already knew what beds we wanted to try. In the store they help you figure out your sleep number and introduce you to several of their sleep number pillows. There's even a bed with a monitor that will show you what your pressure points are when sleeping. We purchased the iLE 360 Smart Bed and I love it. It only takes me 2-3 minutes before I fall asleep! read more

This bed was awful. It is like an air mattress with a pad on it! Buyer beware. The return policy sucks! Sleep on it for130 days if not satisfied you can return. Well they didn't explain that the base is non refundable! I slept on my bed for 30 days & they will hold you to 30 days! Found out from the delivery guys that picked up my mattress that I can get the base taken back for a re-stocking fee. Customer service line Doesn't tell you that! But there is another catch $500 re-stock fee & pick up fee $150-$250. So in the whole awful experience I still owed money ! read more

Walked in, and the "gentleman" at the door was on his phone, did not greet us. Did not say hello, didnt even look up, even though there was a bell sound when we walked in so the entire store could know that a customer had walked in. My fiancee and i walked a bit further in, and a very nice lady greeted us, let us know about the model switches they are currently doing, and how their technology works. She is the only reason i am not rating this a one star experience. As my fiancee and myself browsed and eventually left, we said thank you to the lasy who helped us, as well as the man at the door (who knows maybe he was texting for a family emergency, or store manager) still nothing. No goodbye, no thank yous, no have a nice days, didnt even look up. Just eyes glued to his phone with a very lazy posture. The buying experience was great but after owning the bed awhile had problem with the adjustable base. Customer service was of no help what so ever. We were just about to purchase a second bed for our spare bedroom when our first bed began having problems. I am elderly and when the customer service wanted me to climb under the bed to reset the system I was told if I can't get under the bed it would cost me $150 - $200 to get someone to come help me I was quite discouraged. I am glad this happened before I completed the purchase of a second bed. The bed itself was amazing but now that I am unable to adjust the bed to a comfortable setting I am unable to get a full nights sleep in my bed. I have resorted to sleeping in a recliner in my living room until we decide what type of bed to buy next. read more

My sister and I brought our parents as a surprise to browse as we were in the market for a Father's Day gift for my dad who was having issues getting in and out of his memory foam bed. Valeria went above and beyond to help us choose a bed out, honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had with a sales person / customer service. She showed us the bed we had saw the sale for online, and without being pushy, showed us the next bed a grade up, and asked the right questions to ensure we were getting what we were looking for. We went back and forth but finally decided on the bed we originally came in for with the adjustable (head and foot) frame. She was extremely personable and was understanding about my dad's Parkinson's, which was the primary reason we were in the market for a bed in the first place. She showed us the beds features even showing us how the app works on her own phone, she tested out firmnesses with my dad laying down, suggested customizing the height of the frame and increasing the firmness before getting up to make it easier...she basically covered everything! She was super thorough and made the experience easy, quick and painless. We had the best delivered early July and my parents absolutely love it! I've taken a few naps on it myself and it's with every penny spent. Would suggest this store to anyone in the market who is unsure of making the jump to buy. I have never in my life had such a bad experience in a store. I went mattress shopping with my fiance for both us and for my design firm. We work with clients who deal with health issues and I have heard sleep number is the mattress to go with, so I wanted to see for myself. I walked in and laid on the bed (like anyone in a mattress store would) I heard a women yell, "Hey!" I naturally ignored her because I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Then she hurries over to the bed I was laying on with my fiance and yelled, "No fooling around today!!" I am a 25 year old woman. What 20 year old "fools around" in a mattress store?! I told her that I was going to buy a mattress that day but I will never set foot in that store again! I am tired of poor service. I was going to give them really good business. I had many MANY clients in Dublin and Pleasanton who were interested in shopping here. Now I am steering them away from this store. I advise you to not go here! We had been having very disappointing experience at this Stoneridge mall, Pleasanton, CA Sleep Number store. We have been considering Sleep Number for years. However, every time we step into this Sleep Number store, the sales people were either unfriendly, pushy, arrogant, unhelpful...etc., or a combination of all these. They have unfriendly arrogant attitudes to start with, and also they were shady and hide a lot of (fine prints) info. Also, they are very pushy, try to push you into buying something right they way, and also try to push you into buying something more expensive, rather than something you needed. When I was deployed in the Middle East for a year all I can think off was comfortable mattress, and I stayed in hotels int the past with the Select Comfort beds before and I was like I am going to get me one. Not only did i get an great bed but the service was great to boot, the sales staff got me the bed that I was comrortable and they got me the discounts that they could. The people who delivered my bed was on time and really cool about setting things up, they had it up and running within 30 minutes of walking through my front door. The sales staff even called me afterwards to see about my bed, the sales person I had gave me some good tips on my bed. I like my bed so much I m going to get another one when I get my second home. Sometimes I need it to be softer or harder depending on how I feel that. read more

This store is tricky and dis-honest, instead of a simple receipt you get a three page of fine print, in the third page, hiding in a paragraph it stated " no return and only one exchange allowed", when you buy a pillow would you read three page of fine print ? Throughout the whole purchasing process, the clerk never mention this "NO RETURN and ONE exchange policy", actually he sounds like you can freely exchange it during 30 day period, so make you comfortable in buying their stuff. When is Yelp going to allow clients to select negative stars? This option would have come in handy for this particular review. Picked out our number beds in the Sun Valley mall sleep number store. We were in the store for at least 45 minutes. During this time not one of the 4 sales people who were there and close by mentioned that any part of our purchase would be non returnable. In fact when I asked our salesperson at the time of signing the contract if everything was returnable the answer was a firm Yes. Two weeks goes by, my husband and I realize we are not comfortable, our backs haven't stopped hurting and we would like to return the mattresses. Upon calling the customer service line, we find out that part of our purchase (adjustable frame) is a non returnable item. They will gladly return our mattresses minus the $2000 adjustable frame. After talking with a few supervisors the best the customer service could do is charge me $1000 non returnable to take away this mattress out of my house. Why weren't we told that we purchased non returnable items at the time of the sale? Did it slip our sales persons mind? I guess it did. On the day of the purchase, my husband and I were contemplating between the number bed mattress and another mattress from a different store. This bit of information would have helped our decision making. Thank you Sleep Number Store, I finally know my "Number" it is $1000. To the future customers, I hope you Never have to find out what your $$$Number is. Buyers beware this store practices dishonest sales techniques and their behavior is unethical. I was debating between a Tempurpedic vs Sleep Number mattress. After my research, I decided to go with Sleep Number (but a Tempurpedic pillow to get the best of both worlds). Jenny was the sales rep and she was very nice and honest without pressuring me. She took the time to explain the different mattresses and finding a mattress that suited me while emphasizing a more expensive bed is not necessarily better. I was placed on a special mattress that showed pressure points of varying colors on a computer screen. It basically told me I had a big and heavy butt, not surprising since that's where all the goodies are ;) Using that analysis, we found my proposed sleep number. She gave me some time to play with the bed and a few days to think it over. I called her the next day to order the mattress. I bought the P5 and she got me the discounts she could. I ended up getting the mattress cheaper than I would've gotten online. My mattress was made and shipped to me in 4 days. I've had the bed for a couple months now and once I got used to it, I love it...and so does my dog but it's off limits for him! read more

Buyer Beware! Be careful... they are snake oil salesman at this store and are deceptive. We were mislead and told that we could get 100% refund on our purchase within 100 days....not true! They flat out lied! Then upon return, they state that the final sale policy is in the contract that we signed which was a bunch of fine print. We escalated our case to a supervisor, and they refused to give us our money back on the full purchase. Now we are getting the credit card company and the lawyers involved. We have purchased many mattresses from Mancini's Sleepworld before, and they are absolutely honest and ethical. We regret ever stepping foot into Sleep Number store. Love the idea of an adjustable bed for each side. It's just not this bed or company. 3 complaints. 1st the bed is a glorified air mattress. It didn't find my optimal number of firmness or my partner. So we endured the 2 weeks (like they suggested 30 but we couldn't handle it) of bad sleep trying to find a good firmness level with the computer. The computer suggested my wife's firmness to be a 10 level. If you look at the bed in the morning, she was sleeping in a hole. Terrible for a $3000 bed. The bed is also cold and the edges aren't firm so you can just slide off it your near an edge. Air mattress of course. 2nd problem was the salespeople. We went into the store with a budget for the lower mid level pricing. We were sold a higher bed because of added features. The bed we got just wasn't good as mentioned above and I didn't notice the upgrade. The salesperson said there is 100% money back guarantee. 3rd problem is the company, we contacted the company to send it back. The installers and uninstallers were very nice. BUT, there is a return fee of a couple hundreds dollars. SO, a $199 delivery fee (which was disclosed and we initialed on page 1 of the contract) and a $221.24 return fee that wasn't disclosed or initialed on page 2 in small print within a large paragraph. $420.24 for a 2 week tryout is a ripoff. read more

interesting experience at this location the other day. Wife and I went in to test out some beds. Found a bed to kinda of rest on and was soon approached by sales person. Within minutes he told of the price of the bed, not sure why. What does the price have to do with anything. Why not give all the information on the product and discuss price if we ask. Then he asks me to lie on the bed and gives me the remote. Tells me how to work it and just walks off to help another couple who just walk in. There my wife and I there kinda off what just happen. I lie on the bed for a minute or so and then we just walk out. Background info. My wife and I used to live in Pleasanton for several years so we are pretty used to this treatment. By now you can guess why. We never walked downtown and always felt uncomfortable in many of their restaurant b/c of the room staring once you walk in. Not sure if race played a role in this situation(don't want to accuse anyone of something not true) or maybe we just looked like we could not afford the product. In any case if would be nice to be treated as any other person that walked in. Funny thing is we are really in search of mattress as we are returning the mattress we currently own. Another funny thing as we were walking out we could hear the salesman that left us to talk to another couple pretty much breaking down his life story. Long story short....I tried to buy a mattress here and the first time after waiting 2 hours they messed up my order and asked me to come back to order it again....the second time I ended up buying it from Daniel who was nice but had no follow through on customer service...he said he would call me regarding a discount for my inconvience and 5 weeks later....no call...I go into the storr at this point to get a base for the mattress to which he apologizes and says someone will be calling me from customer service......2 weeks later no call...no follow up from Daniel. not sure who to blame, but I spent $11,000 on a sleep number bed when the store was located on dublin blvd in 2008. needed some service. there is no record of our purchase anywhere. even the sleep number 800 line couldn't find our information. they cant even give me information ad to the kind of bed, where to get service or parts. do yourself a favor and stay away from sleep number cause one they got your number, you are done! imagine cant even get a "technician" to look at bed to try and fix. countless hours with customer service. BTW they had our info when i needed to replace a air cushion that had been leaking for years. Ahh but the 20 year warranty! nice...oh wait, its pro-rated! they never said that when we bought it! oh so it cost $260 for my half side air cushion. ah the pump probably blew a gasket, ahh $600 to replace under warranty?!? ahh here was another doozy, a little, but essential plastic corner padding holder....$120 under "warranty"... well, jokes on me. seems after 10 years they purged out our information. cant even figure out what kind of bed, what kind of parts. no technician to service it....this is very bad! Addendum: according to sleep number customer service, they had "upgraded" their computer systems and have had issues with having lost accounts. I guess mine was one of those and thus no warranty, no ability to get the bed serviced...so much for their better sleep guarantee. For us sleep number has been the worst mistake we have had to suffer with when it comes to beds. Edit: in fairness, the people there sincerely tried to help figure out the problem, and that was appreciated. I have been checking out the beds here for a while. I was very concern about everything because it's pretty expensive. Finally, we purchase our sleep number and can't wait for the delivery. They offer me 24 months zero financial charges and I qualified for more then enough for the bed. The girl answer all my questions and not only was it a comfortable bed but there is a 25 years warranty. How awesome is that! OMG I got a really good deal on a matress this christmas season! I saved $1,500 on a 9000 model!!! for those of you who don't know this is a top of the line mattress which has never been discounted for more than $400. I have been doing my research for an entire year. It's great! It has reduced my backpain, I toss and turn less frequent and I notice a great difference in the quality of my sleep. Anyhow, I have never been so pleased with my purchase and service at this store. The sale representative, Maria, really listened and answered all my questions. The sales staff is well trained. They got me and my wife to go for $2000 bed, but after over a year on one, I can say it is not for everyone. I thought it was good at first. For me, the idea that my wife could sleep at her level of comfort and I could sleep at mine sounded perfect. My wife hates the bed now. This is in part to never finding a good level of comfort and because she may have a slow air leak on her side. I would say to my fellow shoppers, be aware of the fact you are at a Select Comfort store. They make their living selling their product. If they had four other brands and where still selling you the Select Comfort it might give them more creditability. I have started looking at other mattresses and was surprised at the range of product and options out there. There are latex, soy, inter coil, and those Tempur beds. After reading Ice Snows review I had to guess that they must have entered a store in the Stoneridge Mall that they thought was a Sleep Number shop. Their experience is far from the professional treatment my wife and I were given. The store mgr. Camm helped us and he was more than professional than one would expect from a Mall outlet. Camm was sharp, polite, and receptive to our needs, and sold us on the I8 in which I already was aware that the Consumer Report had rated it as #1. Camm was not pushy what so ever. He made us aware of the 2 for 1 deal on pillows, which we went for, and a discount on sheets. Not to mention the $600.00 off on the I8. And here is the big wow factor, we received 24 months of interest free financing! I would certainly recommend this store to all of my friends and family.
