I took my students here for lunch and I loved it. So many varieties of pizzas and my recommendation is to come with lots of friends so you can try multiple dishes. We've been coming here. Every Sunday spending $400 a week for over five years Sandy We waited 40 minutes when there was no one here they wouldn't see this until our party of eight came. There's always a party of a party of seven every week. The dining experience I had at slack water was a rollercoaster. I was there with a few friends for our lunch break and we all ordered some pizza and appetizers. Our waiter, bless his heart, was doing his very best but forgot to add a couple of our pizzas and appetizers to the ticket he gave to the kitchen. He also forgot a couple drink orders as well. We got our food in the end, he was very apologetic, and we ended up having a few items comped, so everything worked out alright. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The only minor complaint I had was the table size. The four of us felt pretty squeezed in despite it being a four-person table. Other than that, it was a great experience. read more

When we arrived the parking lot was packed and we barely fit through the doors or the building, but we were still sat immediately. I was anticipating at least a 30 minute wait. (Just two of us and we came on a Sunday night) I got the gluten free grape and gorgeous pizza. It was very delicious, I loved the combination of flavors, my only hold back was that the crust was very dry at the top of the pizza, I think if they would have gone up higher with the toppings or even drizzled more sauce there it would have been okay. I still ate all of it and enjoyed it. The ambiance was great, I love the low lit vibe it makes the space more calming even when it's busy. There was live music that added to a great ambiance. It's a pepperoni pizza, three cheeses, drizzled with honey. I normally don't get meat pizzas but it was delicious and not too heavy. Although it said double pepperoni, it was light on that and small ones. My daughter ordered the Hulk which was one of their green goddess dressing based ones. Tables are full of families, couples on date night, and friends having a casual dinner. Lots of TV around so you can watch the game while having a drink and some wings. As you'd expect from a restaurant/bar, it's noisy. Don't come here expecting to have a serious conversation. The pizza is pretty solid. It's a little bit like a cross between a fast casual place like Mod and a traditional wood-fired spot like Settebello. Our visit to Slackwater Sandy's was one of the most embarrassing and unprofessional restaurant experiences I've ever had. We walked in as a party of five and were crammed into a table way too small. We tried to make it work. Our waitress came by almost immediately and asked for drinks and appetizers before we even had a chance to open the menu. When she came back and we still weren't ready -- we were mid-conversation -- she clearly became annoyed and told us to just "put our menus on the edge of the table" when we finally decided. Uncalled for, but we moved on. We eventually ordered, but about an hour into our visit, a second woman -- a manager, I assume -- suddenly came out and confronted us. She asked if we had "been spoken to by previous managers." We were confused until she informed one of our party that he was being "86'd." No explanation, no warning -- just aggressive energy. When he calmly asked for a reason, she couldn't give one. He explained that during his last visit, a busboy snatched food out of his daughter's hand -- a completely inappropriate move that anyone would be upset about. Rather than listening or showing an ounce of professionalism, she started shaking, raised her voice, and demanded we leave. We hadn't even received all of our food, yet they brought the full bill. No offer to box up what hadn't arrived. No items removed. No apology. Just blatant hostility. We walked out with two children crying from hunger and embarrassment. This restaurant humiliated our family and made zero effort to de-escalate or act like professionals. Breweries are everywhere. Slackwater offers nothing special in terms of food, service, or atmosphere -- unless you're into public humiliation and hostility. We're locals and will be warning others to stay far away. Wow wow wow. We drove by on a Saturday afternoon saw they had patio and wondered if they were pet friendly because we had our dog with us. After an afternoon of apartment shopping we were hungry. Easily 5 star. Florida was our waitress. Super chill and helpful and very attentive. She gave me an awesome recommendation for the Pumpkin Sour (5.5% ALC). Could've probably drank several due to how good it was. I asked if we could possibly take some of the beer home. She wasn't entirely sure so she asked her manager, Joey, who sat with us at the table for a few minutes to explain how it works. Thanks to Oklahoma for providing this awesome beer! Hope we get Florida as our waitress next time. We got the Iron Horse pizza, managers favorite. We also got the Cheese bread appetizer which was so good. Every single piece of food and drink we experienced here was 5 star easily. Service was 5 star, environment was 5 star. Cant wait to come back and try more of their seasonal fall beers. Nice restaurant with very good pizza and a large selection of beer. I also had a sandwich via takeout one day. Their prices are quite reasonable and the service is good. It's a relaxed atmosphere although can be a little loud. I had the spicy pizza which was indeed quite spicy! Maybe I wouldn't get that again, because I have enough hair on my chest now. The cheese pizza was perfect for a kid. I enjoyed a slice too. The sizes are maybe a bit much if you're not super hungry but too little if you shared one. The sandwich was very good. First time at Slackwater, I was excited to check this place out especially after reviewing previous reviews. We pulled up for lunch and I was taken back by how crouded it was. Luckily we only had a 15 minute wait to be seated. They were busy but all the servers were great. The food was pretty good. It's not the best Margherita pizza that I've ever had but it was pretty good. My biggest complaint was the noise level. The cement floors and open ceiling amplify the noise level considerably. We'll definitely go back, but it's not somewhere I'd recommend for a client lunch. read more
