Slackwater pizza is one of the best I've had! It is bursting with flavor with every bite, and each pizza is individual sized. The crust is perfectly flavored and cooked. Also, if you love ranch dressing, Slackwater's ranch will be your favorite. I even dipped my Tiki Masala pizza in the ranch, which sounds like it wouldn't work well but it was delectable. The service was good even though it was super busy. The bartenders were fun and knowledgeable. The sever was competent and fast. I would recommend joining the waitlist before you get there, so your wait is shorter. The ambiance is fun and lounge-like. It gets dark and loud inside, but they have tables for any size of party. read more

We joined the waitlist on Yelp. Checked in a few minutes early upon arrival and were seated fairly quickly after that. Our party had four guests. One elderly diner took some time to check out they're extensive menu and decide on a final order. Bethany was patient and kept checking back to see if we were ready yet. It gets quite busy at the Sandy location. We arrived around 5:45 PM. It didn't slow down while we dined either. When we had finished dinner and we were leaving, there was quite a few parties waiting off to the side for seating. The busier it got the more our service declined. I noticed that our server was running outside to serve as well. Which made no sense to me as we were seated across the dining area, on the farthest middle booth tables from the particular outside patio she was also serving. Why would an establishment overextend their server's like that? Our food took time to make. On the verge of too long of a wait. One of our pizzas was made incorrectly, but they offered to let her dine on the incorrect pizza while they corrected their mistake and remade her pizza. She agreed. They have a whole page on the menu dedicated to their pizza's. They also offer sandwiches, soup, salad, and appetizers. I wasn't feeling 100% so I opted for soup and salad. They only offer one soup on the menu. It's a yellow curry cream soup. With vegetables and chicken. It was comforting. Light curry flavor throughout the creamy soup base. Tender chicken and vegetables. Just what I needed. Unfortunately the Caesar salad I did not enjoy. It looked visually delicious, but the dressing was bland. I suppose I could have asked for more dressing, but it was adequately dressed. Another side of Caesar dressing and it would have been too drenched in bland dressing. I'd give this place another try since I didn't get to try their pizza or other menu items. Preferably earlier to see if it's not as busy. read more

Five friends and I went to Slackwater a few weeks ago. We each ordered a pizza or pasta, and we all tried each of them. There was actually a problem with mine, but the manager came out immediately and took care of it personally, so A+ for Customer service! The restaurant was packed so if you go on a weekend or prime time in the evening, make a reservation or get there early. Unanimously, the southern chicken redo pizza was the least favorite. It was a waste of money since it did not get eaten. Also unanimously, the surprising favorite was the chicken bro-do pizza. It is everything you love in a great chicken Alfredo in pizza form. Delicious and I will definitely come back to order this pizza again. read more

Food was delicious! We got a couple different pizzas to try, we got the ranch to go with it and the ranch was so good! Will definitely be back at some point read more

I have been to Slackwater locations in Sandy and Salt Lake multiple times. The food satisfies even my pickiest friends. Their pizzas, calzones and wings are all fantastic! The food is fresh and flavorful and the service is always good. The ambiance is generally fun and friendly and casual. My only complaint is about the weekend performances in Sandy - they are super loud sometime and I can't hear anything anyone says at the table. But the food and excellent service and nice atmosphere typically make for a great meal with friends and family. read more

Good food. The "Italian Job" is delicious! Friendly, helpful staff. Way too loud. Don't come here to talk, particularly if your group is large. read more

The environment here is pretty fun! Very friendly staff and the food isn't weird home to mama, but it's good! However... the beer selection is beyond anything!!! read more

Had a large team dinner at Slackwater, and the staff was ULTRA ACCOMODATING to our large group. Everything they said and did was to make our group dining experience better. Tyler and Kenzie killed it. They were efficient, enjoyable to work with, and all around amazing servers to our large group. The pizzas were delicious and hot, the beverages were yummy, and the vibes were there. Thank you to the whole Lssckwster crew from the Capital Flames hockey team! I hate to do this but pretty bad experience here today. My friend was refused alcohol because the server thought she had already been drinking. The manager came over and explained how the server was uncomfortable and they would comp our app, but the reason they gave for refusing alcohol was slurred speech and watery eyes (no watery eyes) Guys, she's from the Deep South. She has a thick accent. I understand Utah's laws are scary for establishments that serve alcohol and the scared over abundance of caution is why I'm giving two stars instead of one because I get the position they're in, but they made the interaction so awkward and uncomfortable we just ended up leaving and yeah, probably won't go back. Seriously...it was just a drawl, y'all. read more

This was a refreshing new restaurant, we have been a few times now and really enjoyed the portion size and the variety on the menu. We will definitely be back. read more

Wow! This pizza was so unique and so good!! Never had rice on a pizza before, but now I want it all the time. The atmosphere is fun and cozy--mood lighting, live music. BUT the wait was pretty long, and there was nowhere for us to sit! Some extra seating would go a long way. read more

A 5 star shoutout to our server Alyssa!!! thanks to our attentive server we had a wonderful dinner, largely because our server she was personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She always recommends the best drinks and beer when we come. If you want amazing food and good service sit at the bar and ask for her. She will greet you either a warm smile and offered a few tasty specials. Until next time, Alyssa! Malinda and Jesse! read more

Excellent food! Great service! Love the seemingly endless beer choices. Will keep going back!

Atmosphere was nice and fresh. Pizza was good. Staff nice and friendly. Pizza probably a 7.4 and that's pretty good. Would try again

This is not a place to come if you want quiet, but it is a great place to grab beer and pizza and wings. The service is surprising so efficient given how busy it often is. The last time I was there it was a random Wednesday. Come after a day of skiing or hiking or work...whatever. Just a good place to grab a bite and a beer. read more

Food was excellent. We loved the Street Corn Ribs. The curry soup was also delicious. The Spartan Pizza and Hot Honey Pizza were both great! Our server, Blake was helpful and knowledgeable and helped our large group celebrate a wonderful evening. Highly recommend visiting Slackwater! read more

We always enjoy coming to Slackwater. Tonight we had a live band playing and they sounded great. The ambience was cool. We sat on the patio on a pleasant night. Allergy warning though- tons of cottonwood fluff blowing around, so avoid if an issue for you. Our server was terrific. Friendly, helpful and attentive. I ordered the cardiac arrest in calzone. It was good, but the pizza version is better. All the pizzas here are fantastic. The ranch was good but a bit runny. My wife tried the Santa Fe salad. The dressing was great, but the spinach was overkill. My daughter got the Ogden river club sandwich and she liked it. There's no reservation system, but a virtual waitlist through Yelp! It was tough to time, but fortunately they check you in when you arrive and the wait time wasn't long. read more

Never disappoints! My son has a gluten intolerance and they're very accommodating. Our favorites are the wings, caesar salad and their pizzas are fantastic. Ambiance can be a little loud now that the word is out and more people are realizing how delicious this place is. You all can stop going there now please. read more

Food is always good! But long waiting list and time! Like pizza is the best in town and very reasonable price.

Great pizza!!! And beer selection staff is friendly. I dine here on date night often.

If you living in Sandy, this place is a must and a go to. It has wide variety of choices both in food and beers. They run monthly specials every month. June was the month of strawberries. We ordered strawberry cocktails which was really good. If you are a beer person, they have so many varieties. We ordered Diablo sticks. If you are a fan of spicy food, this is the perfect choice. It's cheesy and the spicy sauce goes so well with it. We also had 'from the earth' pizza which was a bit bland. The ambiance of this place is so good. It has an outdoor seating, which is my favourite, with lots of trees and it's just so pleasant. It has good music and great vibe. Service is very attentive and really sweet. P.S the only reason for 4 stars is because of the pizza which was little bland to my taste. Otherwise this place is perfect and I would definitely come back again. read more

Met some friends here the other night for dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered the you'll be stuffed sticks for an appetizer and it was delicious! I would highly recommend this! The blend of cheeses and the marinara sauce was just amazing. The food here is really yummy! I also got the spinach salad with the herb vinegarette dressing. I had no problems eating the entire thing in one sitting. Everything about it was so good. I literally went and bought spinach the next day to have more salads at home! The service was very friendly and efficient. The ambiance is very modern and fun! Definitely a great place for date nights, family nights, and fun friend nights! Adding another review because Slackwater is just the best! Went here again a few nights ago and it is still amazing as always. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. We started with the spin- art dip and it was so good! Hadn't had it in awhile, but the chips that come with it are so flavorful and the dip is delicious and cheesy! My mom and I both ventured out and tried something new this time. I got the tree hugger sandwich and she got the Whiskey Southern Comfort pizza . The sandwich was very good (as someone who loves veggies.) The sauce was amazing and who doesn't love sourdough bread. It came with a nice salad as well. Lots of veggies in my meal, which I loved! My mom loved her pizza. She is from the South, so this was perfect for her. Our server, Zach, let us know it has actual whiskey in the bbq sauce, hence the name. The service was great. We got our food quick and Zach was very nice! Always a good night at Slackwater! read more

The pizza was good but very different than what you're likely used to and that primarily because the crust had a sweet taste to it. At first the sweet taste was a bit interesting and enjoyable but as we ate the pizza it became overwhelming. Also our waiter was cool but he definitely high and a little forgetful, we had to remind him 2 separate occasions for different things. Also, it's pretty hipster but a lot of places are like that in SLC. read more

Slackwater might be one of the only good sit-down restaurants in Sandy - there, I said it. Great pizzas, an interesting menu, fun ambiance and great service...it's popular for a reason!! We've tried a bunch of the pizzas but the Margherita was my favorite. Simple and they do it right. Also the Iron Horse, which is their version of traditional combo ingredients (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, etc). You can order any pizza as a calzone as well. I've heard they have excellent gluten-free crusts. The Cobb salad is good, my family member loved the spinach salad with candied pecans and gorgonzola. In the summer their patio is open and it's quiet, well-attended to, and sometimes you get visits from the nearby ducks that live in the creek. Parking is easy because it shares a lot with the mall next door. This is a great place for beer. Huge selection of bottled and on tap, sours, everything. Haven't been thrilled with the cocktails, so go with beer. There are some great drink specials and they offer by the pitcher too. The only reason we don't eat here more often is the wait for a table on weekends can be over an hour if you just show up. So join the waitlist or come early - I always forget to call ahead or join the waitlist and then kick myself when there's a huge line. I do love coming here for lunch too, though! read more

Is this my fav restaurant in SLC? I think so. The pizza here is literally some of the best I've ever had. You traditionalists can get out because I know, it's not any sort of traditional pizza, but that's what makes it great. I'm a sucker for their special every month because it's always just so perfect for the season we're in. Add a side of whatever their special soup is and you've got my perfect meal. The service is always great and you can spend as little or as much time as you want here because they're always quick with food and drinks. read more

This place is seriously so YUM! This was our second time coming and the food just hits. I had their grape gorgeous pizza and what a treat! It's so good y'all! My hubs had French toast from their brunch and said it was really yummy, too. He just wished they added more berries to it. The customer service was spot on and they were accommodating by giving us a larger table so I could keep our sleeping baby in his car seat. We will def be back and look forward to it! read more

This spot is aimed dead center at the fancy beer n pizza crowd and full of very colorful characters and is perpetually slammed! We took a work group here on a Wednesday early evening and there was still a fairly lengthy wait! The pizza is good with great crust and good flavors and a fairly wide variety non-traditional options with quirky names. 90% of the menu is pizza so that's their thing as is the giant book of a drink menu! The service was so so but I'd imagine hard to keep up with every single table full and a line out the door! Last thing to note: the place gets LOUD!! Like hard to have a conversation with the person sitting right next to you loud. read more
