This was the worst mistake to think this would be a great opportunity to evite special friends. We only had a good time because of having great friendship their. To start of, we were swapped from our original dome to accommodate someone else. This pushed us to the very end of the line up for dinner. We had to wait over 2 and half hours to get our food and when we finally did it was terribly cold. Very small portions of left overs is what it looked like. We will never do this again nor advise anyone to go and try it out in fear of the experience we had. I have requested a refund for our lack of dinning experience we should have gotten for the price. If you're looking for good drinks with a great view, you have to come here! I visited the SkyLounge with my co-workers for happy hour while on a business trip in Atlanta and fell completely in love with the view. The ambiance is very nice, what you would expect from a typical rooftop bar, but there's just something super special about being in the middle of downtown with an amazing view of all the special sights. This is one of my favorite places to catch a breathtaking, open air view of the Atlanta skyline. Situated on the 10th (and top) floor of the Glenn Hotel, SkyLounge is accessible from a special lobby elevator located in the far back of the main lobby, past the main bar on the ground level. There is a nominal cover charge on weekends-about $5 cash (free on weeknights), but it's totally worth it to see the downtown skyline from a different angle. Expect this place as a high end hotel bar as drinks are quite pricey, but loved it. I had their Georgia Peach and Pomegranate Martini - both were flavorful and had the right amount of liquor in em, whereas he had their house whiskey and gin tonic which turned out great as well! Supercalifragilistically speaking of course. Let's get it on!!! The Good Good... The bartender was heavy handed with his drinks and I loved it. I had the Glen Martini which is their signature drink. There is a reasonable cover charge to go up to the roof which hands down has the most beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. Then for dessert as if the view wasn't enough, you have simply got to try the coconut cornbread cake. Only eat that bad baby warm and your tongue will slap your mouth when it's done. It's just that good. The Bad... The skylounge would have gotten 5 stars, but they have an incredibly stupid policy. The aforementioned coconut cornbread cake cannot be taken up to the roof because its considered outside food. The explanation I received is that the rooftop and the restaurant which are in the same building are under different management with different rules. Husband & I spent the day checking out the sights of Atlanta. It started getting chilly so we found our selves here at The Sky lounge & so glad we did. The view of the city was great especially after it got dark. We were gonna just have a drink to warm up but the atmosphere was so nice & laid back that we spent the whole evening. Anytime I have guests in town, I'm bringing them here! This rooftop lounge is the perfect spot to grab a drink at - whether you're leaving a concert from the Tabernacle or Falcons game at the Mercedes Benz game. I met a friend here for a drink after work which happened to be the same day the Atlanta United was playing. Fortunately, we were able to grab seats before it got crowded. The drink menu is pretty simple - wine, beer and liquor. I didn't see a menu for any specialty cocktails so I ordered a glass of Argentinian White Blend - $11. Friend ordered a Guinness. If the bar gets too busy, you can go downstairs to the bar on the main floor and bring them up. The seating is plentiful. One thing you'll fall in love with is the views. They are absolutely amazing! Had an incredible evening catching up with a friend while sipping on some cocktails. We arrived around 7:30 on Saturday evening and it was crowded, but we were able to grab a table. The views from this rooftop lounge are definitely to envy. Because we were not guest at the hotel, there was $5 cover to head up to the lounge. A very small price to pay for the views of the city and lively atmosphere. I ordered several cocktails. The first was the Georgia peach and the second was the Centennial. I enjoyed the Centennial more than the Georgia peach. Once the sun set, the views of the Atlanta sky line were just beautiful. Also seeing a night view of the Mercedes-Benz stadium was breathtaking. Loved the view here. If you are a tourist or a tourist at heart, strongly recommended to go check it out to see the wonderful atl skyline. Unfortunately they don't serve food. That was a bummer. So I was in Atlanta this past weekend and randomly googled "rooftop bars near me" and SkyLounge popped up. My friend and I went to check it out and we enjoyed the vibe! We went during the day so I can't speak to the atmosphere at night, but we liked that it was chill and relaxing. They had live music that was upbeat but not overbearing. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the Postmaster drink (pictured below), my second one was much better. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't sell real food (you can't bring it up either--the lounge and hotel are two separate entities apparently) as I was pretty hungry, but what can ya do? My friend and I ended up enjoying a small charcuterie board. I will be returning! read more

There are hidden gems in Georgia and this is one of them. It was only a $5 cover for a classy, small but not crowded rooftop bar (and it was a Saturday night). The photo opportunities are endless: the grass wall entrance to the rooftop city views. Drinks were great and the bass player played top hits with a lounging vibe. Stopped by on Thursday around 9 PM, just perfect for the sunset view of ATL Skyline. Great view and location! The lounge is on the rooftop of Glenn hotel by CNN office downtown. Valet parking is right next to the hotel building, 10 bucks for the first 3 hour. You can probably find free parking on CNN garage or road sides but I did not want to walk much since we girls were wearing heels wahahaha.... (beauty is pain - physically and financially) BEAUTIFUL VIEW - it is perfect to "welcome" your friends to Atlanta. The bartender was attentive and nice, drinks were pretty strong although it is more on the pricey side (13+ bucks for a glass of lemon basil margarita). But still was a great experience overall, probably won't come back again unless I am taking visitors (or someone is buying me drinks ;D) read more

It's a place for a view and view only. Given that, I'd suggest coming in the summer if you do because the view is partially concealed by cheap plastic cover in the winter. This place has so much potential given its location, view and the beautiful Glenn hotel. It hurts me to see that nobody has invested money to make this a place where I'd want to return. Wood straw furniture? Am I at flip flops or the Caribbean? The interior is honestly one of the most tasteless, cheap interiors I've seen at a rooftop bar. Given that you also have to pay to enter, this is unacceptable. Also, they don't take credit cards for the $5 cover, so you have to use the ATM to get a pathetic $5 out and pay $4 in fees. What a scam. It's not upscale at all, I wish some of the other reviews mentioned it before I came. The only upscale part is the drink prices, there is clearly no dress code, the interior is ugly and the beautiful view of the Ferris Wheel is covered up by clear plastic. Invest in some large glass windows that can open and maintain the panoramic view. Frustrating, so much potential here. I'd pay a bigger cover if they made it into a nicer looking place. read more

You have to pay $5.00 just to go upstairs, which is actually pretty reasonable for downtown Atlanta. However, I was not prepared to be treated so poorly by the staff once I paid to enjoy the SkyLounge. Our bartender, Angel, at first was just generally unpleasant which I attributed to the hot weather. As the evening progressed, so did her attitude in which she became rude, confrontational, and not attentive to our needs as guests. As a hospitality professional I found her conduct to be severely misaligned with the high standards that are expected of an Autograph Collection hotel. This may have been an isolated incident, but given this experience I would not pay to return to the SkyLounge. read more

Went during quarantine to getaway in the city & social distancing precautions were in place. It was a Friday night & it wasn't many people so social distancing was more than capable. I wasn't able to get a photo op like I wanted because they [thankfully] had a plastic covering around the balcony. You have to pay a $5 cover charge if you are not staying at the Glenn Hotel. Valet parking & a paid parking lot are available so there's no problem with that. Thought they served food but I mistook it for Glenn Kitchen in the lobby. Once you are up top, it's absolutely gorgeous . Drinks : drinks are a little pricey because it comes with the view . Just had a vodka soda (9$) and other cocktails are priced between 10-15$. Service : we went on a weeknight which I recommend because on weekends they are crazy packed . We were able to get seated immediately and enjoy our drinks with a nice cool breeze . Would recommend doing atleast once , or if you are not local . If you are looking to get drunk , this is not the place . Sky Lounge gets 5 stars simply because of the wonderful view! My husband I stayed at the Glenn hotel for Valentines day. Once we got settled, we took the elevator up to the sky lounge and enjoyed wine and pictures. The balcony is awesome and you can get great pictures with the ferris wheel as the backdrop. I've also been to this place at night time with friends. Friday and Saturday nights, it is packed! But very friendly, professional atmosphere and crowd. I do wish, for these super hot summer days/nights, that there were a good working cooling system. The last visit, I left drenched in sweat. Other than that, I love this place. read more

I love coming up here during the summer. It's a chill, lounge atmosphere, with music playing, but not a club, which is something that this city is lacking SO much. It has a beautiful view, decent looking crowd, and on occasion the music is good, although as my "tip" says from a few weeks ago, the DJ last time I went was horrible, it's like he was stuck in the 90s playing boy band music. The Sky Lounge offers complimentary wine every evening from 5:30-6:30 for hotel guests. They have two reds and two whites to choose from. On weekdays it's a nice way to unwind after work with a glass of wine, soaking in the sunshine and enjoying the view of the city and Centennial Park. There was also live music on Friday. I also came up to the Sky Lounge late one night. We wanted one last drink and nighttime view of the city before settling in for the night. I was a bit surprised they don't have a more extensive cocktail menu, but I guess people go more for the view than the drinks. Of the three options, I went with the lemon basil margarita and thought it was tasty but just a bit overpriced. So, i should start by saying we have been here before a couple of times. this evening we went here for drinks before going out for the night. we got there before it was open about 6:45 it opens at 7PM so we had a some drinks and appertizers at the hotel bar downstairs with the intention on going of to the skylounge after. When it opened we finished up and closed our tab.. but things have changed.. there is now a dress code. no baseball hats, so i had to check my hat. next there is a $5 fee to go up to the roof if you aren't a hotel guest. i guess they are trying to weed certain people out. but we weren't paying $5 to ride an elevator, we went back to the hotel bar had another expensive drink and took our party elsewhere. there are other rooftop bars in atlanta and i liked this one but i won't be going back. read more

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our first visit - Saturday night they were closed for a private event which wasn't a big problem for us. Whatever just find somewhere else to go. So my friend and I came the following evening on Sunday and it was pretty empty to our surprise probably cause the whole city was at the Beyoncé concert. It's a very chill rooftop bar inside a hotel. Full bar with a few selections of beers which included a couple local ones for me to choose from. It's a rooftop but with cover, and so glad it's that way because you can still appreciate the ATL skyline and avoid getting wet from the rain. And I've learned when it rains, it full on pours within seconds in Atlanta. It's pretty cool being able to see the lightening strike from all around as the bar has clear view of at least 180 degrees. The bartenders were helpful when it came to picking out a beer and also cleared our table when we finished our appetizer and drinks. I'd definitely come here again. read more

Rude, rude, did I say rude? Came here just a few minutes before they opened and the man downstairs posted up in front of the elevator could not have been more short and rude to begin with and told us to come back at 6. We did, and then eventually we were turned away because my sister had a go pro with her (we were headed to a concert later, with a no bag policy so she had it in her hand) and rudely told us that cameras weren't allowed. That would be fine if that policy was stated on their website, but there is 0 mention of it in their FAQs online. He said we could go up if we left it with him. I recommend making that "policy" clear in the FAQs. read more

Amazing view of downtown at 10 or 11 stories. Wish it was open at sunset during the winter, but it's worth it year round. Has heaters when it's cold, and usually no cover. The place has an amazing view and alcohol, and is recovering from being rundown. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out, but as it gets less tacky the drinks get more expensive for no reason. read more
