    Regular Coney, Buffalo Chicken Salad
    Erik C.

First off it was my first time at a Skyline chili and was looking forward to checking it out. Now I'm not a huge cheese guy but wanted to try a 5 way anyway. It was eh. I'm picky with pasta and was way too much cheese. I did have a regular coney (hot dog, chili, mustard onions and no cheese) and really liked that. Also had an order of chili cheese fries to split with my son who had the buffalo chicken salad. He liked it. But really the outstanding part of coming here was the service. Jennifer H was our server and she was awesome and attentive. Fast and accurate and refilling my soda before I realized I needed one It's very family friendly and clean. The value is good too. All the other servers seemed to be great too and connected with regular customers.

I'm not sure how I have never had this place before.

Can you believe this? I have never tried Skyline Chili before until my visit in September. I was super excited to try them out. I love a good fine-way chili and that is what I ordered. Well, let me say, I really enjoyed the habanero cheese; very tasty. However, the chili was not my favorite. I am not sure about other locations, but the location I visited gave a small portion size for the amount I paid. I am not picky, but the noodles did not even cover the container's bottom. I would have liked to have had more chili sauce, not that did not happen. I don't know, I feel I should give a different location a try. What's the saying? "Better luck next time."

A staple for my family for a couple of decades now. My kids grew up eating at this Skyline all the time. And we still make it a regular stop. The food is fantastic. The staff are always super friendly. And it feels like home. Even after all these years, it feels like a treat to get to eat here.

Today it was windy and there was a chill in the air so I immediately thought of chili hitting the spot. Where else would you go for chili? Skyline is the place to go. It's fast, clean and good tasting. I ordered my usual 4-way with onions and it was on the table in like two minutes, probably less. I scooped off half the shredded cheese so I can reapply some of it for bites with no cheese. I finished me plate it was so good. And I love oyster crackers. The chili was just what I needed to warm my cold bones on a chilly fall day. There are a lot of tables at this location. The staff was cleaning them and vacuuming the floor after the lunch rush since I arrived after 2 pm. The restroom was clean and stocked with paper towels. Parking is plentiful.

Sometimes you just need a quick, hot, yummy little hot dog (or two) covered in chili and cheese! Hubs got the large 5 way, which is spaghetti, chilli, beans, cheese (he asked for less cheese), and onions. We split a cheesecake factory slice of red velvet cheesecake. All that for under $25! It's been years, I thought we used to order at the counter, but it's redone and there is waited table service now. Our server Joey was friendly and attentive. #yum #ReviewsByRL

I can't tell you how much I wish we had a Skyline Chili in the Chicagoland area. I was introduced to this delicacy decades ago and only get to have it maybe once or twice a year when traveling through Ohio. I know it sounds ridiculous but the food is amazing. There's nothing else like it. A couple of coney dogs and three-way, and I'm in heaven!

Good 5 way (pasta, chili, cheese, beans, onions) ~$7 and tasty hot Coney dogs. Buns maybe couldve been a tad fresher in comparison to other skylines but overall great stuff. If youve never been to skyline reccomendd. Friendly good service. Good cold bubly pepsi.

Chili 4 and 5 Way...look at that freshly grated cheese!

Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum! (This should be my whole review. lol)…read more Nothing fancy about this place. Just a small mom and pop dive that serves hot dogs, but the food is great. I ordered a charred jumbo Belushi (1/4lb beef Vienna hotdog, beef chili, shredded cheddar cheese - I held the onions) and a side of cheese fries. This is probably the best hot dog in town, and the chili on the fries was amazing. The chili by itself would be a good meal, but that's not an option on the menu. They might have the best fries in town as well; they're hand-cut. I enjoyed the cheese sauce on the fries too. For the future though, I will order a regular Belushi instead of a jumbo. It tastes amazing, but the jumbo just has a regular sized bun so the bun isn't big enough to hold the hot dog and all of the toppings. I was messy eating the jumbo Belushi because the bun couldn't hold everything. Having said that, the jumbo Belushi was darn good!! The staff was great too. They're kind, they brought the food out quickly, and they keep the restaurant clean. The person behind the counter recommended the Jordan (Vienna beef hotdog, beef bacon, grilled onions, sport peppers, mayo, mustard) and onion rings. It's hard to imagine a restaurant having something better on the menu than what I ate though.

Beef bacon, grilled onions, sport peppers, mayo, and mustard. So much flavor and perfectly balanced. The staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. It's a no-frills spot, but that's part of the charm. You can get the dogs boiled or grilled. Definitely go with boiled. A GREAT meal, zero fuss. I'll absolutely be back.

I went with a Malibu and ginger ale, and it was served in this cute glass, I loved it! We were all so hungry, so we started out with a large order of fries, and they are a standout. They disappeared fast, came served on paper, and were crispy, hot, and delicious. We ordered the 2 10-piece wings (the biggest order available), including one batch cooked extra crispy. The wings were good, and I especially enjoyed the Fat Dan's hot BBQ sauce over the regular BBQ. I really liked the extra crispy wings. My boys also wanted burgers. One ordered the Wake N Bake Burger and the other got the Fat Dan's Burger. Both looked tasty, and neither of them complained. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between sports bar and family friendly restaurant. There is seating both inside and outside, and when the weather is nice, they open the large doors to create an open-air feel. That's where we sat, and I enjoyed it. Service was quick and efficient, which was much appreciated since my family arrived hungry. This is a solid spot for burgers, wings, and fries.

I drove by here all the time and then heard it was featured on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives. I had been curious to try it out for a while now and I finally logged a couple visits. At the moment, they're only open for the drive through and curbside pickup while they're under construction to introduce indoor seating. I suppose I'll have to visit again to be able to rate the ambiance. I've had friendly interactions with both times I came. One time, I had the food brought out to my car, while the other time I had to drive back around to pick up my order. Both times, I got the empanada combo and that was well worth it! For $17 you get three empanadas, some churros and Dulce de leche, and house made kettle chips. I'll rank my favorite empanadas in order: Oreo cheesecake (oh yeah, you read that right!) Birria Argentine chorizo Creamy chicken S'mores Cheesy pineapple bacon These are all great. This was a hard list to make. I would definitely recommend all of them if you have the chance to order more. I also want to try all the empanadas on their menu eventually. The kettle chips are on the less salty side, which I prefer. I think they have a hint of sweetness to them. The churros... on their own they're pretty decent but the Dulce included? Next level. I always save my leftover Dulce to find something else to dip in it. How I have leftover is beyond me but I won't complain! Overall, I think Che Chori has a pretty expansive menu, considering that empanadas, burgers, and pizza are very different things. I'm not sure how the others stack up, but I will definitely be back for the rest of the empanadas!
