3 way Chili and Coney Hotdog
    Michael C.

Skyline Chili is not something that's gonna blow you away with flavor. It's comfort food that is authentic to Cincinnati. It's something you have to try to experience raw Cincinnati culture. The dining room was clean and the service was phenomenal. Our waitress did an outstanding job. She gave us facts about the history of the city and the dish. She even gave us some coasters which was very nice. It also took maybe 3 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food. The chili itself was meh. I wish you got more chili for the amount of noodles they give you. I also loved the insane amount of cheese though. The chili itself wasn't as good as I was expecting. The flavor was very hidden in my opinion. It's not terrible but I wish it had a more dominant flavor. The coney dog was much better. This is definitely the route to go. The hotdog was snappy and good. The bun was also a good white bun. I think everyone should try this once. It's an experience that everyone should do. I would probably go back. I would recommend bringing the kids here but it's not something that's gonna blow you away.

This place is legend! I am now a fan of Skyline Chili! The unique taste was delicious! We ordered the fresh cut fries, the coney dogs, and spaghetti. Order the 3 or 4 way! I think I like the dogs the best! The restaurant is simple and very clean. They have dogs on the griddle, and food in the middle just ready to serve! I loved our waitress, she loves her job and it shows! She made recommendations, was quick to fill our drinks, and made the visit extra pleasant! This place was packed for Friday lunch! I wanna go back! Enjoy!

My friend and I were touring the city because we travelled here for a Cincy game. I've only had Cincinnati chili once and was pretty excited to try it were it was created. After reading many reviews, I decided to try Skyline. Glad we chose this location. Our server totally made it an experience instead of just a meal. Reeta was amazing! She gave us the first timers bibs& explained our options. We both chose 4 way w onion served on spaghetti. It was was delicious. The sweet chili is so unique! Come here if you want to try local cuisine.

Soooo typical. Mounds of cheese. Take it with the mustard and onions.

Yup, that just happened. A visit back to Cincy is never complete without a trip to Skyline. Stopped in for a quick lunch (2 cheese coneys) and felt back at home with the midwestern friendliness of the staff calling me "sweetheart" every time they came to check on me. Ah, home sweet home.

Not crowded at lunchtime - everyone could sit at the same table! The crackers were awesome and the service was more than I expected.

When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!

Stopped in to check it out for myself. I was instantly greeted by the lady up front. I wasn't able to get her name, she had told me but I wasn't able to get it. I asked for the 4 piece tender meal and asked for a suggestion on whether I should get them house, hot or naked. She suggested the house since it was my first time. I went to go get my drink after paying and withjn 3 minutes my food was ready. As I went to grab my food, she thanked me for my patience and handed me a free 4 piece tender meal ticket! I just want to say this place deserves all the love that I was shown and please if anyone knows the lady's name, I'll need it for the next time I stop by. She had long braided hair and a piercing in her upper lip. Eventually I made it back to Findlay market to eat my food and I don't think I've had better chicken before. It was tender, juicy, and the house sauce is to die for. The fries come with I think Parmesan cheese on them too, pretty good. I will definitely come back for my free 4 piece and it's definitely worth the price. Thank you guys so much you've made my day! :)

Being that there are only a few Raising Cane's in Michigan I had yet to try this fast fast food…read morejoint that everyone seems to love. However, I was in Cincinnati for the night for work and by the time we wrapped our event my dining options were not exactly plentiful. I figured this would be a convenient time to try them so I went ahead and entered their location into my maps and went to their website to order ahead of time so I could really just jump in and out. Ordering was not difficult though I was honestly a little surprised and how small the menu was. Do a few things and do them well, I would imagine is their motto! I ended up ordering the 4 piece combo and was told it would be ready in 10. I made my way over there with a few minutes to spare. This location does not have a drive thru and is in the bottom level of a larger building so I had to find a place to park to run in. This was surprisingly NOT easy on 10pm on a Wednesday night but I finally managed to get a standing spot (which imagine was dedicated for food delivery person pick up). I ran inside and it was packed with a super long line and a ton of people waiting. I was even happier that I had ordered ahead of time and looked to their online order pick up shelves. They were empty though the staff was calling out names and handing out bags of food so I thought, "oh it's busy and mine just isn't ready yet. I'll wait." And I waited. And waited. And waited. My bad for not going up to the counter sooner but the line was so long I didn't want to wait there and I didn't want to jump in front of anyone just to ask (I'm polite, OK?). But after a few minutes I got antsy and just went ahead and did the "PSST!" thing to the cashier between customers. And yes, of course, my meal was ready. Had been for some time, right behind the counter. I grabbed it filled my beverage and made my way back out. Back at my hotel I dug in and found that because of the wait it had gotten a bit cold and the fries and texas toast had gotten a bit soggy. Somehow, however, the chicken maintained some crunch and I found it to be quite good. I imagine if I were to have gotten it fresh out of the fryer and eaten it onsite I would have enjoyed it much more. As it was, however, it was perfectly serviceable fast food, but it didn't quite make me understand the hype. I'm willing to try it again, though!

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.
