The people working there work very hard but the clientele can be inconsiderate and entitled. For…read moreexample, I went in on a Saturday morning to have two pair of jeans hemmed. I sat down rather than stand in line, so one woman who came in with a dress to be altered took advantage of my momentary distraction and took my rightful turn and skipped me. I ended up waiting at least another 30 minutes (an hour total) to be given attention and she had major alterations that she wanted the same day and she didn't even have on the same undergarments that she was planning to wear. As you can imagine this made the woman pinning the garment for alterations at a disadvantage. She had to keep repinning the garment at the woman's whims. Her daughter along with her had a formal dress to be hemmed. But she didn't have the shoes she'd be wearing and the woman who had to mark up the dress for alterations had to go search for similarly heeled shoes that the woman described she'd be wearing so she could stand on top of them to have the dress prepared for alterations. Both mother and daughter wanted their clothes ready the same day within a few hours. So inconsiderate of the workers. And of the other customers. I will not be back. I am sorry that the tailors and other workers there have to tolerate these kinds of inconsiderate jerks.

My dress came out beautiful and I am so excited to wear it in just a few weeks! I also used Lori to alter my grandmother's wedding dress. It's a delicate dress that was a bit small on me. We added panels, removed the sleeves, cut the length of the dress, and added some beautiful gathering in the waist to create an ankle-length gown with a boat neck style. She helped preserve the style of the dress while making it more comfortable for me. I cannot recommend Lori enough. She's very responsive, listens to your ideas, and gives valuable input based on her expertise.
