I had used Skylark for a couple of years as they WERE a great taylor but now I will never use them…read moreagain or send friends to their business as I had done for so long. Here was my experience. I had 3 pairs of jeans hemmed at Skylark at a price point of about $30 a jean. A total of $90 is what I spent. I took one pair out of town and realized that they were still too long and so therefore, I could not wear them. All three pairs were still too long on me. When I was finally able to go back to their shop, the owner said that she would not do anything to correct them as it had been passed 15 days. Of course I did not know that there was a 15 day period! She tells me that it is written on the back of the little card they give you to pick up the items. When I told her that I wasn't told this when I brought my jeans in she said it was on the back of that card. Well, I didn't know I was supposed to read the back of the card for information! Also, why put it on the back of that card instead of also telling your customers?? Obviously, they don't want to tell the customers but then use this as an excuse not to fix their work. I asked her if she would fix the jeans as a one time courtesy since now, I know about the policy. She said again that I should have read the back of the card. Then said, "no". I would have to pay again to have the jeans altered which again were not done properly the first time. I would have to pay another $30 a pair which would add up to a total of $180 ($90 I paid the first time plus another $90). I am beyond disappointed. I understand this is their business and they can do what they want BUT when you have regular customers supporting your business and this is the way you treat them, I can no longer support it as it's clear you don't want nor appreciate my business. I will definitely not recommend Skylar anymore. What a shame.

They're all patient, skilled, and genuinely kind. I go in fairly often for tailoring and repairs, and they are always welcoming and willing to listen carefully while I figure out exactly what I want done. Today really stood out. I brought back a pair of pants that had been hemmed and looked great, but just didn't feel comfortable when I wore them. I was worried I was asking too much since I'd already been in a few times about these pants, but Ping couldn't have been more understanding. She insisted on letting them back out while I was there, even though it was near closing time. She also noticed a jacket I had and tightened the buttons on that too--again, on the spot. She was so kind, accommodating, and generous with her time, and she wouldn't even let me pay. That level of care and customer service is rare. Ping truly stands behind her work and wants her customers to be comfortable and happy. If you're looking for expert tailoring with exceptional service, Lee's Tailors is the place. I won't go anywhere else.

Nadia and her assistant seamstress knew exactly what to do. They took in the sides above the waist, sewed the V-neck closed in a flattering and modest way, tightened the elastic in the sleeves making them drape nicer, and cleverly added stiff netting inside the sleeves at the shoulder to make them pouf better. The dress fit perfectly and accentuated my figure. My husband and I were very pleased with the alterations. Nadia was very pleasant and professional. I walked in and she greeted me with a smile so I asked her if she could replace the zipper for me and while i stood there she pulled out a little box with many pull tabs and she proceeded to replace the pull tab and the zipper stop on the other side. It took her all of 5 minutes to fix my jacket with a pair of pliers and BEST OF ALL, I asked her how much I owed her for the repair and she graciously smiled at me and replied to me, "NO CHARGE"! WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE?! THAT is what GREAT Customer Service is ALL ABOUT!! She has gained a returning customer if we ever need to have another article of clothing tailored or repaired! She told me that replacing the entire zipper would have cost me $35.00 so in this crazy horrible economy, I appreciated her saving me the $35.00! That's a half-tank of gas nowadays! Pros: the young guy that was originally helping me and the suit that I purchased…read more Cons: almost too many to name. 1. It seemed like every employee was fighting to get commission. 2. Once I was ready to pay, no one was willing to wait on me. If I'm spending over $500 on a suit, somebody probably needs to check me out. I was about 30 seconds away from dropping my purchase and walking out. In retrospect, I probably should have left. 3. The guy that checked me out seemed like he was in a hurry to get me out of the building. 4. Once I was rung up, and came home, I checked my receipt and was overcharged $30 from the tags on my purchase. 5. When I called the hotline to have that fixed, the girl helping me, Carmen, seemed annoyed at my request. I wasn't asking to save money, just to be charged what the tags said I should've been charged. 6. Rather than refunding the overcharge to my card, Carnen made it seem like I was at fault, and said the only options were to drive an hour+ to the store and get a refund, or get a store credit. 7. When I stated I didn't want a credit or to drive over an hour to the store, I told her I wanted it put on my card and she said we can only send you a check that will take you over a month to receive. Additionally, she said I would be returned the 29.99 that was overcharged to my purchase, and not the additional tax that I was charged. Other than one guy at the store, and a great suit that I purchased, I was overcharged, treated poorly, and was made to feel like I was wrong. I would not recommend the store to anyone. Although I still endorse Men's Wearhouse, I highly recommend everyone to avoid the CARY location. It is an absolute crap fest. Will NEVER shop at this location again. The guy that checked me out even complained about other employees for not putting up signs reflecting a discount on ties. Not at all professional, and after being overcharged for what I purchased and told too go look at the ties, I'm glad I didn't as I likely would have been charged full price as apposed to the sale price he was offering.
