Came here for a Mariah Carey/Xmas themed pop up bar and it was a lot of fun!! We got checked in and the staff were all super friendly. The bar was fully decked out in Xmas decor and there were so many cute photo ops! There wasn't an option to purchase food, but the drinks were very delicious. Lots of different seating areas as well and they even do a fake snow show. They sell tickets online which include a welcome drink. The parking in this street is crazy at anytime of day, the hotel itself offers valet for $25 which is what we did. Lots of restaurants in the area to finish the night off as well. Definitely recommend!

I have not been to the Mondrian Skybar in I don't know how long... but it was just as I remembered beautiful views great drinks, wonderful service and a lot of fun. I didn't realize how much I missed you Skybar until I came back to visit. I will come back soon. I promise I won't be a stranger...

Came here for a morning fitness classes and it was lovely! I highly recommend the Fit Girl Club LA events here! The pool is a vibe, there are towels available and very small restrooms (2 stalls total in the women's). Bar is really overpriced--20% gratuity is automatically included FYI! My friend paid $26 for a strawberry mojito and $20 for FRIES. Also they are charging $33 for a fruit bowl and $21 for ELOTE!! In Los Angeles! I'm from here and it's kind of an insult. Otherwise it's relaxing and warm. Very greenhouse. I would just go somewhere else for lunch. There are some vegan options for your dietary restricted friends

Cute pool but, be warned if you come here. This bar automatically adds a 20-22% gratuity to every check. That in itself is arguably OK -- lots of places do it. BUT instead of being transparent about it, they present the bill in a way that feels intentionally misleading. The check is clipped so the top portion (where the auto-tip is listed) is covered, leaving only the blank "add tip" line showing. Unless you carefully move the clip and read the fine print, you'd think no tip was included and end up TIPPING TWICE. That's not just a questionable business practice -- it could very well be ILLEGAL. Restaurants and bars are required to disclose service charges and automatic gratuities clearly. Hiding it so customers accidentally double tip is deceptive and feels like a scam. It completely ruined the experience for me. Instead of leaving with a good impression of the drinks (watered down btw), I left feeling tricked and taken advantage of. Transparency matters, especially when it comes to people's money. If you do decide to go, check your bill closely before paying. Personally, I wouldn't recommend supporting a place that operates this way. There are too many good bars out there to waste time and money on one that relies on misleading tactics. If management wants to discuss this in case they feel like not all staff does it and it could just be one particular bartender, I'm happy to chat -- otherwise you should take a really good hard look at yourself and consider if you think you'll be in business a year from now.

I've only been here when they have special events but I really like this place. It's an open rooftop bar/lounge/club with a pool during the summer but in the winter time they have covers for the whole place. I was so surprised since I was expecting it to be opened and the rain will get us. I don't think they serve food. Only drinks :)

Can I rent your bar for a private party?

Yes, I've seen it be rented out for private parties during the week. Not sure about weekends. I'd email them at SkybarLATables@mondrianhotels.com to find out options.

Can I just walk in or is there any need for a reservation?

Is their a cover charge to get in?

Can anyone go the bar or do you have to have a room at the hotel to get In? If anyone is able to get in, do you have to pay to get in and if so, is it like a club where there is someone who decides who goes? do you need a reservation to have drinks?

Can you order drinks during the daytime?

Hi what's the cover on a Friday night?

Not that I'm aware of. I was just there a few weeks ago and there wasn't a cover or drink minimum.

I'm looking for a place for my friends and I to grab a drink for my birthday. Would you recommend this place? If there a cover charge? Is it hard to get into ? Let me know!

Is there a cover for the Sundays pool party?

    No cover

Is there ever live music here on weekends, or is it strictly DJs?

    Never seen live music here

What vibe is the music/dj on the weekends? (Top 40?, 90s hip hop? Trap? EDM? )

It's not that loud. It's more edm. It's more lounge that club type atmosphere. I think they can't play the music louder due to the Neighbors and hotel guest. It was not busy the week I was there. Even The Weekend was not much happening.

Is there a DJ on Saturday's and Sunday's? What's the general music selection?

DJ was spinning on weekend. Was there Sunday afternoon

How much is the vallet parking there?

It depends on the hours but I payed 30$ for about 3 hrs :(

    Is there an entry fee?

    No entrance charge.

We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

I assumed they would be just as good as the quesadilla but they weren't. That's okay the churros made up for it. They arrived so warm and crispy. The service was pretty good, my one critique was that the waiter brought out dessert before we were completely finished with our entrees.
