What a vibe. The DJ was spinning old skool classics from Chaka to Michael. WHEW. I had killed my set at the Laugh Factory earlier that evening and needed to catch a vibe and this was the move. We both had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The fries were made to perfection and the sauce was also delicious. The bartender was super sweet and attentive and made a stellar drink. Next time I'm back to sling jokes, I will definitely be patronizing this gem again.

Stumbled on this bar when our show at Montalban theater was cancelled. We just had a nice dinner so just ordered bar drinks, typical place with old school music but we we're still able to converse along with it. Bartender was nice; fast service. Not too bad to hang out after a long work week.

This review is for the well on Saturday nights. I've been coming to the well for a few years now and normally I would just visit during the week. This past weekend I came in on Saturday and I had no idea this was the turn up spot. I showed up with some friends around 11pm and were greeted by security. After a quick pat down I walked in and to my surprise it was damn near elbow to elbow. The dj was spinning classic and I guess modern rnb if there is such a thing. All the tables were taken so we stood by the wall after ordering drinks. I saw people eating but I'm not sure if the kitchen was still open by the time we got in. The crowd was heavily melanated which was dope because I don't see that often in Hollywood. The drinks were flowing, the women were attractive and no drama so all the reason for me to keep coming back

4+ smallish cocktail lounge/ bar located in Hollywood conveniently located right across the street from the Hollywood Palladium. The few times I visited was around visiting the Palladium for concerts so the vibe was lively each time. Quick service and solid prices - there was a time where I had a somewhat rare pour of bourbon here for a relatively low price. My last visit here was before a show that me and three other friends were going to across the street and stopped here to kill some time and grab some drinks. They make some pretty good cocktails as well! I think I got an old fashioned. I can't say much about the food here, because I don't think I ever ordered any food here during my visits. Parking for this spot (and Palladium) is pretty tight but not impossible. If you are willing to walk a few blocks and depending on what night you are here, I think you should be able to find street parking no problem. There's always the option of the paid lot or parking when going to a show.

First impression is key for any establishment and to simply say; The Well's first impression from my experience is life changing. I found my new home. From the moment you enter, the Doorman, Ryan, let's just say whoever hired him needs to get a raise, including him... real, attentive, kind... bringing back those vibes of how a key member at any nightclub is the Doorman, because they are the first and last impression. The ambience, lighting, interior decor and last but not least, DJ As-Is brought me to cloud nine with the best disco, soul and funk Sunday evening aka OG Sunday. Best night in Hollywood that I experienced thus far, this decade. Period.

Went there on Skeleton Key night on a Tuesday shortly before Halloween. Great dimly lit atmosphere, amazing gothy vibe and music, and tasty themed drinks. The Well is a required stop when I'm in LA.

The Well isn't just a bar -- It's an experience. From the moment you walk in, you're met with that perfect balance of warmth and energy that only truly great spots manage to capture. (The Owner Vince Riverside is such a Delight. )The lighting is moody but inviting, the music is curated to match the vibe of the night, and the staff? Absolute pros. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do (Shaka, Kirstie, Rian, Jerry, Shelby, Lisa, & Anthony)-- Every cocktail comes with a smile and a bit of flair. The drink list is where The Well really shines. Whether you're into craft cocktails or just want a perfectly poured whiskey, they've got you covered. Each drink feels intentional -- creative without being pretentious. (Pro tip: try the house special (The Las sombras-- it's the kind of cocktail that makes you stop mid-conversation just to say "wow.") The crowd is friendly, the atmosphere laid-back but stylish, and there's this easy sense of community that makes you want to stay for "just one more." The Well is the kind of bar you recommend to your friends -- but secretly hope it stays your hidden gem a little longer.

Love this bar! it's become kind of a home spot for me and my friends, during the summer especially it's ice cold in there, dark, no windows kind of feels like Vegas vibes with no way of knowing the outside.. eclectic, lots of different music and different nights. food is awesome. The wings are insane. They have two different types, sweet and spicy - my favorite, love their Tuesday night rock 'n' roll night as that's mostly my vibe. Definitely check it out if you're in the Los Angeles area.

All dishes are carefully crafted with its colorful details, and its simple but bold flavors prepared for you through an open kitchen. This place gets busy the minute they open their doors so make reservations prior. 1. Korean Aguachile: fresh tilefish sashimi with finely sliced cucumber and white floral decor simmered in ice cold kimchee broth they pour at the table. Soooo good. Must order. 2. Soy Marinade Blue Prawn: My favorite dish of the night. Huge raw blue prawns (head attached) marinaded with soy sauce. Served with barley rice topped with Ssam jang (type of bean paste sauce), and seaweed paper. You wrap all ingredients in the seaweed paper to make a hand roll. Soooooo delicious. Can't walk out without trying this. 3. Beef short ribs: good but nothing unique in its flavoring . Beef steak(medium rare and super tender) that's lightly marinaded/glazed (so not overly sweet) with kbbq/short rib sauce. This is one of their fan favorites so I suggest you try it.. 4. Chilled Acorn Noodles: chewy cOLD noodles made with acorn (just like the acorn jelly side dish we eat). The noodles are seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu-jang (Gochujang paste), crispy cucumber slices, loads of dried seaweed flakes, and perilla oil. And you just mix them all together. Sooo good and paired well with the short ribs. Incredible. 5. Bluefin tuna and trout Bibimbop: like a poke bowl but so much better. Rice at the bottom with loads of lettuce strips, bluefin tuna sashimi, radish slices, and cavier. Seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu jang (Gochujang paste with a twist of vinegar). Very good as well. For drinks we tried the shikhye slush (shikhye is a Korean sweet rice drink dessert). They used a slushy shikhye base with warm cinnamon and ginger spices and pisco for a kick. Also tried the Sujinggwa manhattan which is sujunggwa (traditional Korean cinnamon ginger dessert tea served cold) and a single malt. This was fabulous. Overall fantastic experience. Fantastic food, cool ambiance's. And great service. Highly highly recommend this place!

Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. The experience itself lasts about 40-60 minutes, which felt like the perfect amount of time. The only downside for me was that the bathroom is shared for both genders. For safety reasons, I personally wish they were separate--so ladies, I'd recommend going with someone just to be safe. You just never know. They also give you a little treat afterwards, which was a really nice touch and a sweet way to end the visit! Overall, I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others

It's not surprising given the neighborhood and decor, but I think they lean towards more Japanese spirits and beers. For someone like me who's never been to Japan I feel like there's a traditional Japanese theme going on inside with lots of wood. A few friends and I came here on a holiday before dinner. Happy hour specials were still going on. I'm not sure if they thought they were gonna get that much business on a holiday but I think there's only maybe one or two people behind the bar. Since it was early when we got there, it was still not that crowded. I got the special which was a shot of Japanese whisky and a beer. Great price! Haha. I've walked by before where this place is really crowded so I assume there's a lot more people working behind the bar during the regular busy hours. Just a great place to grab drink drinks.

No exceptions, as I witnessed a family who really wanted to come in but had an 18 yr old so they weren't allowed in and because they had a minor with them they couldn't even sit outside in their seating area. Always good to know. Inside the bar got super busy. The inside was a bit dark but again it is a bar. I like the decor and the bar seating was packed. The drinks were good if you like whiskey they have it along with lists of beer options. Nice spot to try out.

I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We
