This place is ONLY getting one star from me bc it was clean overall. That is the only positive thing I can say.
DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WHATSOEVER. Unless you are absolutely comfortable with feeling like you're being taken advantage of and if you're okay with your masseuse climbing all over you then this is the place for you. I will spare aaaaall of the details leading up to getting to the building.
The front lady asked me to undress and lay face down, I asked how long the wait would be. She then told me "Sorry, English no good." Then before closing the door she said "Massage is with man." I said that was fine but wanted to know how long it might be. She shut the door. I turned around to look at the bed and there was only ONE sheet on the bed that had a hole cut out for where we place our face, but there were also two paper towels over the face hole. I was immediately confused as to what sheet I was supposed to get under bc under the one sheet, was the cover that was covering the table.
As I'm undressing, there was a knock on the door, she handed me the laminated paper with the prices. I looked them over for a brief moment, pointed at the 60 minutes for $70, then proceeded to ask if there was another sheet bc how am I supposed to get under this one when I'm pretty sure I needed to be laying on top of that one. She literally said "Ok," and shut the door.
I finish undressing, lay down, & a few minutes later a man walks in & I asked him if there was another sheet. He said to lay face down. OK??? He doesn't say anything or ask me anything like where is my pain, are there any areas I need focusing on, etc. Every place & person I've gotten a massage from has ALWAYS asked about problem areas. On top of all of this, all throughout my massage, there were SCREAMING CHILDREN AND WOMEN YELLING in the place next door, the walls are so thin it was extremely unpleasant. I did my best to drown it out the entire time but it was very difficult as the room I was in was pretty quiet. The man eventually stepped out & brought in a heater that made a little noise for ambiance, otherwise I kept listening to his VERY awkward and uncomfortable breathing and grunts. There was music playing on the over head speakers but only in the hall, you couldn't hear it very clearly in the room.
Onto the massage. I'm not going to give an absolute play by play, but what I received was not a massage whatsoever. At best, it was a literal rub down. With an emphasis on my butt. Maybe I wouldn't have felt so ungodly uncomfortable if I wasn't covered by ONLY. A. TOWEL!!!!! I was so tense throughout the whole massage, I didn't relax at any point. Fast forward and things started to get aggressive. There was no care to slowly and calmly set my feet, arms, or legs down after massaging them, they were literally just left to fall back onto the bed. It actually hurt bc it shook my whole body & the table and was very uncomfortable for my neck, the place I was hurting the most. At one point I literally was fully naked and uncovered on the table. I do not have an issue being naked whatsoever, but he just didn't care to even try to cover me to make it feel even slightly modest and professional. He left the room a total of 3 times. Never said once he'd be right back or what he was doing. The first time was for 5 minutes while he was grabbing the hot stones & warming them up. Moving forward, at two different points this man GOT ON TOP OF ME, straddling me, and I have no other way to say this other than he literally was flailing on top of me. He was on his knees but it didn't feel great at all. The second time he did it I literally said out loud "Ow. That pressure is a little too much it's starting to hurt." Did he stop?! DID HE EVEN SAY A WORD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS OR MAKE ANY SOUND EVEN INDICATING HE UNDERSTOOD ME? No. My neck was worked on at the very end for maybe 7 minutes.
Once the massage was over, I went to the bathroom and went upfront to pay. Now, I work in the service industry so I am ALWAYS a very generous tipper even when I honestly can't afford the few extra dollars, I still tip well. I only wanted to give this man $5. The lady took my card and asked me "how much?" I said $75. She looked at me. I didn't stutter. Clearly, she understood. Then her and the man started speaking their language. She then said "how much?" again and I said "$77" and I went to type it in on their square machine which is when she proceeded to tell me it's a minimum of a $10 tip AND THEN PROCEEDED TO CHARGE MY CARD $82!!!!! I'M LIVID! What they offer is not massage therapy. It was the most awkward and unprofessional setting I've been in in a long time. And I've been massaged at a number of places where they barely spoke English and left feeling revived, refreshed, and rejuvenated. I will leave it at that. read more
