Came here with my parents, it was my dads first time here and he loved the happy hour menu. We ordered 4 items: - Drunken Chicken: they gave us both dark meat and white meat, we thought both was really yummy! The white meat was not dry and had as much flavor as the dark meat. - Pig blood & skin: I thought this was okey, I'm not a super fan of pig skin. I prefer to eat it fried than stir-fried. For those who haven't had it, when you eat it stir fry it is like eating a gummy candy. Super chewy. The pig blood was okey too, I've had better/fresher ones. When I bite into it, it just felt like a block rather than more jelly like. - Fish porridge: have came have many times for this and it's one of our favorite! They don't skimp out on the fish! Super tender. - Singaporean Chow fun: I wasn't a huge fan of this, it had to much black pepper? in it. Was a bit spicy for me. My parents also thought it was okey. Probably won't order it again. Overall, service here is always quick. They take cash o my & have a great happy hour menu. If you want cheap Chinese eats then this is the place!

Affordable, tasty, and large portions! This is an amazing place for Cantonese food that can feed the whole family. I got their special three sides one soup combo (三菜一汤), which can easily feed 3 people for under $50. We got these dishes: 1. Soup of the day - rich chicken soup that is both soothing and clear 2. Snow pea leaves (a la carte) ($9.50) - freshly stir fried, is tender yet not soggy 3. Sweet and sour pork spareribs - fried bone in spareribs with a pungent sweet and sour sauce, perfect to pair with rice (rice is included in the meal) 4. Half chicken - chicken had a ginger sauce with it, and was super soft and tender, very easy to chew 5. Salt and pepper chicken wings - my favorite of the dishes, is both spicy (hot spicy) and savory, nice portion for the cost, crispy on the outside, smooth on the inside Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for simple and cheap Cantonese food in large portions to feed the family. Although this place isn't fancy, the food quality is amazing given the ingredients, each dish has wok hei (breath of the wok). P.S. This place is cash only. Also, please be patient with the staff as they mainly speak Cantonese. I also heard that the beef is not as good as the other dishes - it could be improved if the beef was higher quality.

First time here and enjoyed my dinner. Ordered chefs special "wor choy" meal of picking three dishes includes house soup and rice. Fast, efficient and gets crowded fast. Food is good Cantonese food! Can taste the "wok hay" of the seasoned woks! Big menu to order noodle dishes, or rice plates...comfort foods and drinks. Something for everybody. Solid!

I'm not sure of what we ordered if mathing!

We always go here if not ones or twice a month. The food is already reliable, dishes are well prepared, seasoned and definitely worth coming back to. We ordered 3 items for $37 + 0.50 cents for any item with beef. We ordered eggplant with chicken and salted fish, salt pepper pork chop, beef with string bean and HK crispy noodles with beef. The whole totaled should be around $50-52. I guess tax really gets you about $6. I mean if they update the prices will be greatly appreciate and a proper receipt so we know how much everything really is. Service is always fast, food seemed to be ready within 10-15 minutes. Good for dine in and take out but the restaurant is always weird, not clean or a storage of everything else.

We stopped by to try this Hong Kong style cafe restaurant which serves a mix of western and Chinese rice and noodle dishes before shopping at the Ranch 99 market. They offer a breakfast, afternoon tea, and late night menu between 10am-11am and 3pm-6pm daily including weekends. Since we arrived shortly after 10am we ordered a wonton soup noodles ($8.75) and a Singapore fried rice noodles ($10) to share. The Singapore fried rice noodles came fairly quickly even they seemed to be working on a lot of to-go orders and a large catering order. It was fresh and good especially for the price we paid! We were very happy with it but were a bit disappointed with the wonton soup noodles that came later. The noodles were too doughy for our taste so we only ate the wontons and the Napa cabbage. I asked the staff for some red vinegar for my wontons and she asked me to get it from her at the counter as she was too busy. I was fine with that as I don't mind walking so don't expect much service from this place. This is a cash only place so make sure you bring cash with you when you come to try this place. The name of this place is Daly City Sky Cafe, so Skyline's Cafe must have been its former name.

My friend and I were on a late night grocery run next door at 99 ranch, and we were looking for a quick casual restaurant nearby! A few tables were seated at 9:00PM, but by 9:30PM it was just us left. The wall street-style artwork referencing various pop culture was interesting. We wanted to order the Beef Chow Fun, but we were a little disappointed that all the Chow Fun had sold out for the day. We decided to go for the classic Beef Bitter Melon on Crispy Noodle and the baked Pork Chop. For Hong Kong styled cafes, the food was about average and if anything a little under seasoned. We got a very generous amount of bitter melon. Keep in mind it's cash only!

Classic Chinese food for cheap and you get what you paid for. The perfect yelp rating of 3-4 stars indicates the best, authentic Chinese food. They have lunch deals for rice dishes for $8-10 and noodle dishes $10-12. I ordered: 1. Tomato beef Chow fun: Delicious! I liked the beef and the flavor of the sauce with the noodles. I wish the noodles were a bit more crunchy but either way it was still delicious. Lots of beef and the portion size was quite large for $10. 2. Scrambled egg seafood chow fun: One of my favorite dishes and they were so generous with the amount of shrimp! I did feel it needed a little more soy sauce but I guess it's better to be more bland and you can make it more salty rather than the other way around. Overall, Delicious and cheap. What else do you want in a Chinese restaurant. Lots of lunch and dinner deals. Good portion size. Decent service. I'll definitely be back!

If you want comfort Chinese/HK food at a no frills place, this would be it! The prices are very affordable (esp in the SF area) and the portions are generous. I really enjoyed the beef and black bean entree, beef was very tender. Chow fun had the classic wok taste, which made it extra tasty. The interior walls are covered with cartoon and anime murals, really cool vibe in here. Staff was great too, super attentive and nice with any of our requests! Highly recommended!

Really cheap (compared to most of today's establishments). Service is okay. Condiments are not cleaned. Hella dirty :( One time they gave us our tea and it smelled like they used a dirty rag to dry them.... Needless to say, just drank from water bottles we thankfully had in the car. I love coming here to try out the different things on their menu. So far, I've tried: Beef Chow Fun, Deep Fried Flounder, Scrambled Egg Prawn Chow Fun (Wet), Garlic Yu Choy, Salt and Pepper Pork Spareribs, Green Onion Pancakes, Soup of the Day (had celery and carrots), String Beans with Beef, Honey Walnut Prawns, Seafood Tofu Clay Pot, Chow Mein, Chicken Wings, and their milktea. Out of everything I've tried, I like the scrambled egg prawn chow fun (wet), seafood tofu clay pot, and salt and pepper pork spare ribs. Everything else is okay as well, but I'll keep ordering other things on the menu for now. Looking forward on trying their baked pork chop.

Happy hour meal- all of this for about $50 with tips (as of Nov 2023)

Good Chinese food for cheap! Just like many HK cafes, the workers do not have the best services in terms of attitude and mannerism but they are super quick! All of our food and beverages came out in less than 10 minutes! Our favorite was the salt and pepper tofu. My husband and toddler were munching on those non-stop at the restaurant! Everything else was standard for Chinese food and tasted good. Skyline Cafe has deals throughout the day! We came during the evening happy hour (before 6pm) and got a full meal for around $50 after tips and taxes. Totally worth it! The customer services are slightly better in person than over the phone and most of their customers are Cantonese speaking. One of the servers was kind and even helped us pack our leftovers. The cashier lady needs to be a bit more patient though. She seems to always be in a rush even when it is not busy. Unlike traditional HK cafes with the bright white lights, this place is filled with colorful artwork like Pokémon and Mario World. Super random but the paintings kept our one year old toddler entertained throughout the whole dinner. Note: cash only!

I've driven by several times before, and they weren't open late night (maybe closed by 10:00PM). Are they now open till 1:00AM or did no one change the hours? Thanks!

Even though it wasn't completely packed, I was so glad I made a reservation in advance! Most of the individual tables were taken, with mainly communal seating left, so having our spot locked in made the experience super smooth. We had our toddler with us, and since she asked for noodles, we ordered the Drunken Noodles and requested them non-spicy. It still had a tiny kick that was a bit much for her, but it was absolutely perfect for my husband and me! To make sure she was fed, we ordered the Pad Thai next--and she completely loved it! The rest of our meal was fantastic. The spicy eggplant had a great flavor without being overly hot, and the pork belly was amazingly crispy and rich. We had to rush home, so we missed out on dessert this time, but we'll definitely be back soon!

It was Saturday midday and the area was quite busy, but we were able to find street parking a few blocks away. Tip: if you park on the street, beware of 1 hr parking signs on certain sections of the street! We waited just under 10 minutes to get in because we were a small party and could immediately see how lively it was inside. I really liked the decor. It felt homey, but still sleek and modern, very understated in a good way with natural tones. It was totally my kind of restaurant. Again it was quite busy inside, and I think that may be why service was just okay. When we sat down, our table had two empty water glasses, but no water. I looked at tables next to us and realized they all had bottles of water, and one table had two, so I wondered if they took ours. In any case, the waiter must have missed it when we were seated and given menus, so it took a bit for us to wave someone down for water. We also ended up needing another napkin later, and it was a bit hard to catch the eye of anyone to ask for more as they hustled by. Looking at the menu, everything looked good, so we tried a few things: crab and sweet corn benedict, pork belly benedict, and matcha pancakes. And that's where we were let down a little more. Most of our food came out cold or lukewarm. For the benedicts, I hypothesized it might have been because they were made with fresh hollandaise, but my friend told me hollandaise can be made hot, so that theory went out the window. For the pancakes, I am not really sure what happened. Other than that, my friend's pork belly was very chewy and hard to cut. Overall, though everything was presented well and looked great, the execution was just not there. Still, I had a nice chat with another customer who ordered the porridge and really enjoyed it, so I know they are doing other things well on the menu, it was just not our day I guess. All that said, we had an okay experience, but I don't know if it's enough to warrant a repeat visit if not for a specific occasion.

We ended up having the Caesar salad, splitting a prime rib with a side of ravioli and spaghetti. The service was great as they split each portion into two. The salad was a good classic Caesar salad. The side pastas did not stand out much in terms of taste and the ravioli was a tad over cooked. The star of the meal was definitely the prime rib. Super tender and already had great flavor. The mash potatoes and cream spinach on the side complimented the meal well. One rib was also definitely enough to share between two people as the servings are generous. We finished the meal off with the butter cake, which was quite large as well, so we couldn't finish. On the heavier side but definitely buttery and complimented the vanilla ice cream well!
