Fog City Cafe is such a hidden gem in Daly City, a true hole in the wall that feels like your friendly neighborhood mom and pop spot. Definitely one of my favorite places to grab breakfast. Their coffee menu has all the usuals you expect from a good cafe, and everything I have tried has been solid. They also have fun specialty drinks like horchata frappes, but I usually stick to a latte, and it always hits the spot. I have made my way through a few things on the menu like the French toast, enchilada breakfast plate, California sandwich which are all really good. But my personal favorite is the egg panini. The ambience is warm and laid back, with a few tables for dining in. It's not too hard to grab a seat. Parking is street parking, but I have never had trouble finding a spot. Overall, a great local spot for breakfast or brunch, and one I keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Hope its not a weird combo but I'm weird & hungry. I was searching a place that had avo toast & oatmeal. And I was scrolling on Doordash, being indecisive & i found a place that had what I was looking for.....(drumroll), Fog City Cafe! The picture provided for Oatmeal didnt look appetizing but I was hoping for the best. As for avocado toast, I need to have tomatoes on mine & egg. When it arrived, and opened it up a chorus was singing in my head w/ such glory. Oatmeal- hot, touch of sweetness w/honey provided & strawberries, banana, raisins. Avocado toast w/ shredded greens, sliced grape tomatoes and I ordered a side of egg that was perfectly cooked & i topped that on the toast. When i took a bite it was soo savory due to the runny yoke so satisfying!!! It kinda reminded me of that scene in Spanglish when Adam Sandler made a sandwich w/the runny egg yolk but he never got a chance to eat it, sad moment. But i will order this again, soo yum & comforting.

Stumbled across this place with my friend and it was a great spot to eat and do some work at. Theres a lot of seats with outlets and also a couch. The food was a good portion and definitely will be coming back. The servers also brought the food to our table which I thought was a really nice touch!

I have been here about 4 times since 2019. The food and coffee is great. I've tried the baleadas and enchiladas, and they've been really good. The staff are nice. However, it can get pretty busy.

Great spot for a quick breakfast! I order to go because we had a busy morning and the food was still warm when I picked it up. This was my first time trying a Baleada definitely worth your money if you're on a tighter budget. You get a bite of egg, bean, cheese that's really filling .

Once upon a time (give or take 2-3 years ago), this charming and cozy lil cafe with the cool artwork peppering the walls and the engaging tunes pumping from the speakers used to be a pleasant place to walk into early in the morning. not sure what happened between then and my most recent visit a few weeks ago but it was pretty disappointing in that tables were left unwiped and littered with food chunks and my go-to egg panini was rendered into something mid from its formerly lofty place of sublime breakfast sandwiches. the sauce in the panini wasn't as piquant, the bread less pillowy, my hot cocoa was barely lukewarm and the service was just as perfunctory. I'll have to re-visit and hope it all changes because it used to be such a local hidden gem.

Great place, mellow music, quiet happy vibe, lots of food choices. Fast service, nice to eat here.

What a lovely place- lunch was great. On a busy street but you'd never know it.. . Nice melodies playing just loud enough to be relaxing. Several other diners- all having something that looks tasty. One little boy saying Mama, Mama waiting for a to go order. Makes me smile- he's a cutie. It comes out quickly- off they go. A neighborhood place, not much parking but amazingly we find a space. Lots of choices-several other salads and many breakfast choices. Lots of coffees and drinks to choose. Clean, friendly, healthy food... they"ve been open 4 years! I have to come back.

What an amazing cafe! Came here since it was recommended to me by friend and I was not disappointed at all. Such good food with tasty Latin flavors. I Recommend their baleadas and new chicken flautas! Service was 10/10 and the cashier was super nice and attentive. The cafe has a cozy and home like atmosphere. This will be my new go to spot

Surprised by how cute place was inside. The baleada was hearty. Homemade flour tortilla is really good. Scrambled eggs with bacon and cheddar were ok. Service was good.

I've been wanting to go here for a while now but never really had the chance to until today.  Upon walking in,  I was surprised at how big it was on the inside, and they had plenty of seating.  The place looked very clean and simply decorated.     The menu is very simple.  Nothing really caught my attention.   The lady who helped me was super nice.   I placed my order and just looked around a bit.   It seemed like they had a lot of door dash orders and regulars.  People were mostly ordering their coffees and iced drinks. We had: Bagel Sandwich - scrambled egg with cheese and bacon.  My husband loved it, but I thought it was just plain.  Nothing made it stand out.  I feel like it would have tasted better with like a chipotle aioli or just something that gave it more flavor. Croissant breakfast sandwich - I was disappointed in this one.   We got the sandwich, and the croissant was smashed.   The sandwich just tasted greasy like it would've been better if you just ate the croissant separate with egg and bacon like on plate.     I feel like I could've made the stuff at home, and it would've tasted way better.   The muffins looked like the usual where they got it from Costco.   I'm all about supporting local businesses, but I don't think I'll be back.   I can't really say I'd recommend it,  maybe try and let me know what you think

I like how their Dutch crunch has the perfect amount of crunch (satisfying, while not being too crunchy to the point where the roof of your mouth is scraped up). I had passed by it countless times on my bike ride to work without giving it a second thought -- until a co-worker suggested we stop in for lunch. That single visit changed everything. What I found was not just convenience, but quality. The menu was packed with deli classics, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming, full of regulars who clearly knew this was the spot. I went with the Hot Pastrami Sandwich, and I still think about that first bite. Made with Boar's Head Top Round Pastrami -- hand-trimmed, rich, and smoky -- it was layered generously and coated with spices that hit all the right notes. The meat had that perfect deli texture, tender yet hearty.. They clearly take pride in what they serve, and it shows in every bite. It wasn't overloaded or sloppy -- just expertly made and full of flavor, the kind of sandwich that makes you slow down and savor it. What makes New College Hill Market even more special is the atmosphere. It's that kind of neighborhood shop where the cashier greets regulars by name, and even if you're new, you feel like you belong. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or discovering it for the first time, it's the kind of place that leaves an impression. For me, it's become a top lunch destination in the city -- unassuming, affordable, and blasting in flavors!

This grocery/convenience store has your typical products you would see, like liquor, sodas, snacks, i.e., candy, chips, ice cream, but they even sell things like shampoo, cold/flu meds and lottery tickets! The store may have what you need so you won't have to run to Target, Walgreens or CVS. They don't have music or a tv in the background; it's quiet and peaceful. We noticed this because it was Super Bowl Sunday and they don't have a tv, so we had to go online to check the score. *** OUR PICKS*** RIB EYE STEAK SANDWICH W/SWISS CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ While ordering this, I told myself, this is gonna be GREAT! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this sandwich! But when I took a bite, all I could taste was salt?! I'm not sure if the steak was over seasoned or the Swiss cheese made it salty from being cooked, but I've never had that happen when making a sandwich at home. Since there's no place to eat it at the store, we took it home and tried adding more lettuce and avocado to offset the saltiness, but even that didn't help. By the end of the day, I couldn't get my ring off my finger! It was swollen from the amount of salt in the sandwich because that's the only thing I ate. I drank lots of water, but I became bloated. Next time, I'll nix the cheese and order another kind of sandwich and hopefully have a better experience. 3/5 ROAST BEEF & PASTRAMI W/PROVOLONE CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ this was better than the steak sandwich. My guy had this one. It was salty, but it didn't overpower my tastebuds or the sandwich. I only took a bite to try. 4/5 While jalapeño peppers and pepperoncini are sour, spicy and salty, the meat shouldn't be overwhelmingly salty too then the whole sandwich wouldn't be pleasant to eat. There needs to be something bland to balance it. Now in this steak sandwich, I didn't even add jalapeños or pepperoncini. I only had pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. Yet the salt cut through it all and hit me. I believe someone got overzealous with the salt shaker not realizing it was too much. Of course, the customer finds out after taking a bite! Though I think there should be some quality control in making sure it's done right. Maybe taste testing should be a thing. We may come around again and give them another shot. We really enjoyed it the first time and we were hoping for a repeat, but disappointingly, it didn't go as planned.
