I had the company come out to spray my .75 acre property. They ensured that the ENTIRE property would be sprayed and charged over $155 per visit. Nobody was home the first time they came out, but we had noticeable mosquitoes in the far back end of our property. Unfortunately, it was the 10th day I noticed on a Friday. The mosquitoes were bad the rest of the weekend and when I called the company the following work day, I was told the guarantee does not cover since it was past 10 days. Fine...it would have been great customer service to extend another spray given I signed a long-term contract but whatever. The second time they came out, someone was home and I got home during the tail end of the spray. After discussing with the tech, he mentioned that he did not spray the back end of our property because he didn't think it was part of our yard. Even after I let him know, he came up with a bunch of excuses (i.e. the hose wasn't long enough, he didn't have enough chemicals, etc.). I could clearly see there was enough chemicals in the tank (it was half full and clearly visible in the sunlight.). Even when I told him to use the side to access the back end of our yard, he pretended to go towards it but never actually stopped and sprayed our property. Then, I found out from the person who was home that they did not spray the perimeter and just lightly spray the common area. A few more things I could say about the company, but it's getting too long already. Bottom line is that the product works if applied to areas, but they clearly cut corners and do not deliver as promised. For the amount they charge, I expected quality, but got junk. I have been using this business for 2 years. The customer service is spot on and it really works...I have three dogs and I am concerned about heart worm which mosquitos delivers. The vet always nods her head when I say I spray. Like "good owner"...I love that. read more

Beware! Poor service, argumentative office staff, and rude technicians. Do not use this company. I have vegetable beds in my backyard and before I signed the contract, I had informed them to not spray on the beds - first time they were very careful about it but the second time Jason K. sprayed on my peas plants and other vegetable beds since all he did was spray in the air instead of the lawn. He brought a bobcat on my lawn, sat in it, and sprayed the front-yard. He did not spray the two trees in the front. I am paying good money to get my lawn rejuvenated after fence and patio installation but one Skeeter Beater technician was driving the bobcat and Jason was spraying which means that only one side of my yard was being sprayed and my lawn was being ruined. The backyard was not sprayed properly either, he did not spray my patio. I called the office and the lady kept arguing with me asking me how do I know that he didn't spray these areas which tells you what kind of job they do if you are not present at your house to supervise them. When Jason and another tech came back, Jason started to yell at my mom and me. He was telling lies but kept shouting to prove his point and was unwilling to even listen to us. He said that he "sprayed on the border of the patio which is spraying the patio" but he didn't notice us watching him from our patio door and he was nowhere near the patio. read more

Gets rid of those mosquitos ... for sure. We are doing our modest lot once a week because we started so late in the season. Great decision. Not ONE mosquito bite in two week. Staff is respectful and, even if an issue presents itself, they work with you to your satisfaction. Tommy and Matt have done our property and have done a stellar job. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Keep in mind that in order for it to work, the weather has to permit the application, so, you might have to take your patience pills. I purchased a package for Skeeter Beater to spray my huge yard for mosquitos. I have a canopy of trees along the fence that made it impossible to sit outside without getting bit up by mosquitos. We've been using skeeter beater for about 2 years. Usually they've done a great job and only rarely have I ever seen poor results. I also have NEVER called to complain. Today, however, I was appalled. I watched the skeeter beater truck pull up to my house, went to open my backyard curtains so my 3 year old can watch and wave to the sprayer (like she always does) and he NEVER CAME IN THE YARD. I went to the front to see if he changed his pattern and did the front today and to my surprise he was driving away! My grass was completely dry. It is ALWAYS wet after being sprayed. I call the company right away and speak to a Joanne who says she will see what's going on and call me back. 40 minutes go by and I hear nothing, so I call again. She tells me she was going to call me back, she "always calls everyone back" and then tells me that the sprayer described my house and backyard. To which I say, ok, is that supposed to prove he sprayed? I watched him with my own eyes, he never did. So after a bit of talking, I realize she isn't wanting to help me so I ask if he can come back to respray, and she says, "the longer we're on the phone the further away he gets, and that's IF he comes back I can't promise. So I ask for the owner or supervisor to call me and I'm still waiting. This is customer service of skeeter beater. The spray service is NOT cheap and they should be ashamed of how they treat loyal, paying customers!!! Update: he is back, came to the door and said he did spray so I asked him to do it again bc I saw what I saw. He politely agreed and did a fantastic job spraying. Side note: no supervisor ever called me. Unfortunately the customer is a liar to this company. I wonder how many times this was done when I wasn't home... read more

We have been using this service for three years now. We love it. We live deep in the woods with a swamp on one side and would not be able to go outside without the service. We rarely get a mosquito and have not seen a tick yet. The guys are always friendly too. Its a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I set up a package for them to come out throughout the summer. The first spray was two days before a big party I was having. I was hoping that we would be able to enjoy the evening outside, but as soon as it became dark the mosquitoes were swarming. I called and they came out a few days later to spray again. This past Thursday I set up a projection screen to watch a movie on the deck. My son was bit so badly that we only made it 15 minutes into the movie before we had to go inside. I examined their website and their coverage area, which encompasses the town where I booked service (Bristol, Il). Then I booked an appointment on a Monday for a Friday evening special event. I get a call on the day of the spray telling me that we are "outside of the service area." The woman (another employee tells me is the mosquito-side manager) says we're "three hours" away and that the original scheduler must have thought we were in Bristol, Wisconsin. I check website again, verify their coverage area (yep, we are in the coverage area) and call back assuming there is some mistake. This time a different employee tells me we are 74 miles away and their coverage area is 50 miles. Now I own two businesses...if I had a customer with a special event counting on me, I'd make this happen considering I'd already booked the appointment and it's now too late or that customer to find another company. And again, their website shows us within their coverage area. If you have a special event (wedding, party, etc.) you cannot count on this company based upon my experience. I have 170 people coming to an outdoor party and 24 hours to find another company....unlikely. To say this company ruined my event is not an overstatement. read more
