The last owners didn't address the problem and by the time we closed on the home it was a big problem. Not only was their response swift, but the office staff updated our ticket and sent word to the technician, Stan, when we later discovered an additional yellow jacket nest forming elsewhere. Called A-Action about wasp problem in Twin Lakes. Austyn came out and sprayed around our house and shed, and gave us good advice to stay out of the yard for a couple of days. This treatment really got rid of the wasps, which had been really bad. We will use them again if needed. read more

We hired A-Action for addressing the ant problems in our kitchen as we had a good experience with them in 2021. This time the work they did was completely useless and did not help in getting rid of the ants. The technician said that ants will vanish in 10 days and then we clean the cabinets with clorox wipes and put our stuff back inside. The ants didn't go away and then we called them to tell about the problem and the response was that they do not guarantee their work. What kind of business is this? We take the money but we do not guarantee if our pest control will work. Then I pulled out the records from the previous year's work and noticed that this technician did not perform the complete set of pest control measures those were done in 2021. In 2021, technician spent more than an hour to treat our house and this time only 38 minutes. Partial work done but same amount taken. Total waste of money, effort and time. Disaster!! read more

The tech came out the winter visit. Didn't even offer to check the mice bait traps. He was here 10 minutes and left without coming back to the door so we could talk to him. I sent an email to the company cancelling their service, as $145 for ten minutes and not doing anything was not acceptable. They emailed me back saying if I cancelled they would charge me $150. They showed up today announced. I didn't answer the door. Must have figured no one was home. Spent 10 minutes doing nothing, then left. Got another bill for $145, for doing nothing. Signed up last summer and we were extremely happy with the service. However, this year, no one answers the phone when you call their office. No notice of technicians being scheduled and if and when they do come if a dog is outside they won't get out of their vehicle or call the homeowner. They just drive away and later their office staff sends a text stating service couldn't be performed. If you are successful speaking to someone to actually schedule a set appointment for service A-Action will no show, no call! You will have wasted an entire day waiting at home and of course being unsuccessful once again at having someone answer or return calls to you. read more

I did business with this company for 5 yrs... Had no issues and was happy to do business with a local family owned company. Cheri and her husband were kind and knew the business and for 4 1/2 yrs every time a tech came I gave them a 20.00 cash tip and gave them more at Christmas (Rob and Phil) however, last year my tech changed and the quality of service changed. I left instructions to let me know the day before so I could have the gate opened because I have dogs, it never happened and the tech did not service the basement or garage, I had to get upset every time. Sometimes I would see the truck pull down the street but no one got out and I get a bill claiming what service was done. I mean I literally watched the tech stand on my porch and do nothing, never knocked down spider webs.. I even sent the video to Debbie. Phil and Rob would ring my bell and Rob was soo kind, he knew my fear of spiders and bees, he even got concerned and rang my bell, called my phone and waited until he heard from me because he knew I never missed my appointment do to servere reactions if I were to get stung and I truly fear them as yellow jackets made a colony in my wall when I lived in Gurnee..So they charge 350.00 for stinging insects and once they sprayed and the very next day a wasp nest 4 inches long appeared... but tbe came back 5 weeks later. Anyway I decided to cancel the quartely visits and just keep the stinging insects and after they agreed, I got a call from Debbie saying because I canceled the other service they will decline the bee service. WOW!!! I guess I was suppose to keep paying 101.00 for work the tech did not perform.That was SUPER Unprofessional an Immature. After many reccommendations in the past which BTW only once did I get the referal money. I know for a FACT 4 other people did get work done and I NEVER received a referal discount..I do not reccommend this company read more

This place is horrible!!! I used them for 4 months. They say they guarantee their work, yet one we complain they have an excuse. They just want to charge you more for a service they should have and told they provide. The guys that come out to do the service are very nice. They also understand that my complaint is valid and that I'm not the only one that has complained. The woman Amy in the office is not knowledgeable but willing to sell another service that I feel should have been included. They also have taken 3-4 weeks to respond to any of your concerns. Absolutely great company to work with. Called them out for a mice problem in my garage and the serviceman, Fred, spent a lot of time mouse proofing my garage. I'm talking about up in the attic, pulling down old insulation and checking drains. I felt like he had all the time in the world for me (did not get that with the other BIG pest company). He set lockable poison boxes that neither child nor dog could get at the poison (really neat!!). On the morning we were heading out of town for the holiday, we woke up to easily a 100 of flying ants in our kitchen and our front door covered in small ants!
