I was working outside and probably left the door open and some mice got in. We set some traps and probably killed them. We still called The Mice Guys based on reviews and they responded quickly. I wish I had called them sooner. They spent a day sealing up all the possible entry points around our house, caulking around doors, along foundation and anywhere there was a gap. If you even suspect a mouse problem, I would just call Mice Guys. They do everything from preventing mice from getting in, trapping existing mice, and cleaning years of mouse poop in your house. It's the same people you're talking to the whole time so they're familiar with what they did in the past and what steps are needed in the future unlike other pest control services that bring over different person every time. Justin does a great job of explaining the situation objectively without making you fearful and he educates you on what's realistic for mouse behavior. He is incredibly knowledgable and overall a really nice person. We are SO grateful for Mice Guys and they are probably one of our favorite contractors we've worked with. When I came home from visiting my daughter to find a decomposing dead nose in my basement, I called the Mice Guys. They did a great job. They first sealed off all around the outside perimeter of the house and around the roof. They also removed old insulation in the basement, vacuumed, and disinfected around the sillplate. I can't say enough good things about these guys. We've had two different extermination services in the past who only treated the symptoms, not the source of the problem. Mice Guys cost more but they solved the problem. They spent an entire day sealing up the place, putting traps where they determined mice were getting in, explaining their methods. They even discovered wood rot under our front porch and put in temporary reinforcing wood -- not in their job description -- until we could get that fixed! It's now been several months and our mouse problem -- which was bad -- is finally over! They have come back several times to check on status, and they insisted on coming back when we did have our porch replaced, so they could make sure that underneath the new porch would be completely sealed. Customer service has gone down in the USA in recent years, but these guys are just fabulous and restored my faith in the old adage, "You get what you pay for." Went with Mice Guys based off of Yelp reviews. I am very glad I did... Justin came out to look at my house and give me an estimate, which was very reasonable. Justin explained everything involved in the process and how it would help our remedy little situation. I did not feel rushed and felt like he really knew what to look for and what he was talking about. We agreed to proceed with the work, Chris came out to do the installation and he was also great. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and got right in there and did a good job. Chris seemed to have some Carpenter skills too (which I was impressed by), he did a great job leveling off the garage floor to ensure and little holes were not open (see pics). The guy never showed up. Justin did return my initial call, so I know he has my number at least. But, we set an appointment for an estimate and he never showed. He never called back to confirm he would be late or needed to reschedule. He did give a ballpark price on the initial call, which was more than several hundreds than competitors, and guaranteed his service for two years. No way would I trust this guy or his outfit. I am so grateful I trusted these reviews and went with the Mice Guys before calling a giant like Orkin. Justin is passionate about his job and reputation and it shows. He spent time explained the process and ensuring my pets (parrot and a dog) were safe from the poison. He knows what a mouse is thinking and knows the path they seek (through my garage and into my crawlspace). About 10 days ago, poison was laid inside in various areas that would force them to go outside seeking hydration. As in previous reviews, this company and its crew are top-notch. On time, clean, and demonstrate their expert knowledge of the habits and behaviour of mice. I was after a company that knew how to STOP mice from coming into our house. I was not interested in chemicals or simply catching them once in. The Mice Guys found the multiple access points the mice were using, verified by "grease marks" left by the mice. Then they used various repair techniques to block the discovered access points. Then they blocked other favorite entry areas to complete the sealing of our home from mice access. This approach is more sensible than merely catching mice inside the house. Mice Men helped provide a barrier to the mice... And guarantee their work. If you have a mice problem don't mess around, hire these UPDATE---One week later: Justin came back after his team's repairs and mice prevention. He wanted to check on the several traps he left inside to see if any mice had been trapped inside the house... There were none thank God! Next, Justin reviewed all the outside steps and repairs around the house to see if the mice had tried to reenter the house via their previous entry points... There was one hole that had been dug out by a chip monk... So Justin re-cemented that entry position. Now we're good to go for the winter. This is the 2nd time I'm recommending Justin and his guys. They took care of our mice problem 3 years ago and came back to check on us many times to see if everything is still okay. Today I called Justin again as there was foul smell in my basement that smelled like a dead rodent but it was nowhere to be found inside the house. Justin did not give up until he found a dead possum just outside underneath our patio deck whose odor made it inside our basement and it was just horrible. It was not an easy job and certainly not something these guys would take up but Justin went above and beyond to remove the dead animal and only charged a very reasonable fee. We had recurrent mouse intrusions in our basement over the years, and we tried other exterminators. They all relied on traps and poisons, which worked temporarily. There are only a few companies with a specific focus on mice and they are mostly well-reviewed on Yelp, so it was difficult for me to make a decision. I can tell you from my first-hand experience with multiple of these companies that Mice Guys is the one to go with, for several reasons: 1. Their front-man, Justin, is a leading example of someone who is genuine, hard-working, and knowledgeable about his profession. He will educate you on the problem(s), walk-through the solutions, discuss the costs upfront, and explain to you what is necessary and what can be tabled. I did not get the hard upsell from him as I did with others. I felt very comfortable talking through the issues with him, and he conveyed a genuine eagerness to resolve my problem, which they did with flying colors. 2. Responsiveness. Not only are they on-time and punctual, they have responded to all of my post-visit inquiries, and even voluntarily contacted me to confirm that the results are how I expect them. Obviously it makes sense to do that (a failed extermination/prevention only means bad reviews), but you get the unmistakable impression that these guys actually care. 3. Cost. Competitive with, and actually slightly lower than, the competition. I could be wrong, but mouse extermination/prevention doesn't really seem like rocket science to me. I could never do it myself, but the information I received from these companies showed me that they pretty much do the same or similar things. For that reason, it's hard to justify paying someone more than their competition when they are doing the same thing. Cost-saving seems like a no-brainer for me. 4. Effort. These guys did their very best to accommodate my busy schedule, coming on weekends and even a holiday (the process requires multiple visits). While I might have just been lucky with their availability to do that, it just goes to show that they put in a lot of effort into their job. Mice Guys was a great company to work with. I had a bad mice problem in my house, and I had to make sure the chemicals they had to use weren't going to hurt myself and dog. That we wouldn't have to leave the house for a couple days or anything like that. Justin the manager was very patient with me and all of my questions. These guys are fantastic. We had a pretty big chipmunk/mouse problem since moving into our new home- there were 3-4 inch gaps of space around the entire perimeter of our home between where the foundation meets the siding, leaving an open doorway for anything to come through. I had several people come out before Justin, including ABC Wildlife who just wanted to set traps like that would solve anything, and none said they could fix it (or were willing to). Justin gave a full assessment and even though he warned it could be a big job (which he was 100% right about), he was the only one who was fully confident they could fix it. When the team came in, they were all very professional and worked their tails off for 3 days, having to take apart two patios to get under the siding and having to essentially dig trenches to get the leverage to install the flashing around the house. They did a phenomenal job especially since the weather left the ground muddy and messy (from all the melting snow). By the end of the job, I felt the work probably was worth more than what we contractually agreed to, but they honorably kept the price where we agreed. If I could give them more stars I would. We've been battling with mice entering our house off and on, dealing with it using traps on our own, but when I found evidence they were on my kitchen counters that was where I drew the line. I found Mice Guys here on Yelp and their 5-star ratings are totally justified. Justin was out within hours to give us a quote and started work that day. Honestly I would have paid whatever price because I was so skeeved out, but in all seriousness, for the work required to truly seal up all the entry points the prices are reasonable, and they do offer a guarantee if you see mice again in the next year. They don't just fix the problem for today by trapping the little guys, but they carefully seal your home to prevent reentry. They started by laying out traps and checking them a few days later. Then they worked to seal various areas outside our home and in our basement. Checking the traps one more time, they declared our house mouse-free.
