I had a fantastic time at this rink! The floor was smooth, to standard and the jams were popping! I had lots of fun! Accessible parking and entrance. Lots of parking.

Dance floor

Food took over 45 minutes for simple fries and nuggets. Then when the food finally came they made everyone leave the floor for a dance party no one wanted. I expressed my concern to the manager and they would not refund me for the skating, but I did get a refund on the food so it was a partial resolution.

Making plans for a birthday party

Asher made our party so much fun. We got a party package and it was a fantastic easy process to set up and then participate. Our table was all set up in advance. We got an extra pizza which was delivered to our table piping hot and delicious. I will be coming back regularly, the music was fun, we got to play games and the glowing items for sale were cute. Recommend yes Returning yes Suggestion just fill out the waiver in advance to save a little time in the entrance as it is required for everyone in attendance

Adult night at Skateland

My new hobby. Thursday nights are adult skate night. There's always a decent sized crown for a week night. They have a virtual DJ and the music is good.

Picked up two of my neighbors kids from a Barbie skating party. They had a great time chatting all the way home about the party/skating. I was curious what all was included and pricing. Below is the information I found. Barbie package is $33.99 per person with 10 person min. All Skating Rink Party Packages Include: Admission and skate rentalA fun Party HostReserved seatingPaper goodsPrintable invitationsA trip to our DJ Booth for the birthday childA souvenir for the birthday childA spin on our prize wheel for the birthday child All in all if my daughter was younger I'd spring for it based on the fun that was had.

Oh how I wish there was free skate here !!! I've been eyeballing this place for so many years. I…read morelove that I finally got the opportunity to sign my kiddo up for skate lessons. They also do skate plays! No experience required. I want to sign my kiddo up for the next one. Overall I wish this place wasn't like... so secretive seeming haha. I would love to come in to watch people practice or are their games here??? What's up!! This place is cool!

Nice new facility. Well located for the east Valley. While they are still buildong out amenities,…read more it is good ice. The ice surface itself is crisp and hard. The bkards are notably repurposed which definitely goes along with giving them character. At times though the bounces off the boards were not semetrical with the angle they hit the boards at, which is surprising and frustrating if you are playing defense. Likewise, the edging needs to be worked on to remove the bubbles and flatten the surface next to the boards as the ice matures. The final.thing you will notice while skating is the low ceiling which doesn't so much cause any problems other than your perspective in thinking the rink to be smaller than it actually is. The locker rooms are nicely spacious, although lacking good permanent benchs. Showers are missing as yet, but no doubt in the works. Generally speaking, this is a facility just opened but not fully built out. That said, it looks good, skates well and seems like a good start to good little ice rink. I'll be back!

A very nice rink in Gilbert, Arizona. 2 sheets of ice, a great bar (normal bar food, drinks, lots…read moreof TV's, and outside patio (covered with sun sails), a market (coffee, breakfast sandwiches, water and gatorades, etc.) and a Pure Hockey store inside. I didn't interact with any of the staff, but the facility was fairly clean and welcoming. The bathrooms were as to be expected for a hockey rink serving youth hockey (in my case, a HS Varsity team). Parking was ample, with lots to the left, right, and right in front. There are also soccer and baseball games going on around the facility on the weekends, so many parents, kiddos, and cars around. Top tip... avoid parking right in front, as all of the parents were standing in the sunshine one the games ended to defrost (the South Pole rink was FREEZING!!!). The North Pole rink wasn't as cold and also provided a seating are outside of the rink with big windows and picnic tables.

I've been here several times to watch my nephew's youth hockey team play games and skate with him…read moreduring stick time so I have to share my observations. The Good: The rink does have a nice snack spot, and a full bar. Super nice lady (Sandy) that I talked to while getting my food in the smaller snack bar. There's a Pure Hockey here that, despite being small, is very well-equipped with helpful and knowledgeable staff. I bought a pair of skates from them and they made sure I got a great fit. The Bad: The ice is in pretty rough shape, especially on the south side rink, it's clear that they don't properly flood or cut it in between sessions. Parents let their kids run around like feral animals, yelling and screaming, climbing on things, and no one seems to care and the employees certainly don't do anything about it. One of the worst parts about the rink is the bathrooms. I can't speak for the ladies, but the men's room is absolutely disgusting. There's always at least one urinal that's "out of service" and the last couple of times I've been (over the past two months) only one of the three sinks has worked. Half the time there's a 1/4 inch of some liquid on the floor, not sure if it's piss or water or what, but it's nasty as hell. Whoever runs this rink is a joke, I've looked into how much you charge for ice time and you clearly aren't investing a single dime into any improvements or even basic maintenance. Get your sh!t together and fix the bathrooms, clean the place once in a while, and invest a little money into making the ice better!

It is just like the 90s skating rink that I grew up with going to almost to a T. Wood floor is stellar and top tier. I'm giving Great Skate the second star because Great Skate at least refunded 2 of the 3 grandchildren's fees since 2 of the 3 refused to skate once getting past the Great Skate entrance and seeing what it was like inside. I was there just to bring the kids. I did not skate; I was just 1) a Great Skate spectator, 2) the source of payment to Great Skate and 3) to be responsibile for the kids while they were visiting Great Skate. Nonetheless, I had to sign a Great Skate waiver and I was not allowed to sign the Great Skate waiver without providing an email address. I was more than willing to sign the Great Skate waiver, provide a driver's license, provide my passport, give fingerprints, whatever to just to get inside of Great Skate. But, because the Great Skate waiver is online I could not progress thru the Great Skate waiver without me first forking over my email address. Otherwise, I would be denied the ability to be responsible for the kids. Rather than wait outside the doors of Great Skate while the kids went in by themselves, I gave up my email address . . . just to sit on a bench and watch. Yep, now I'm getting spammed with a relentless barrage of Great Skate email solicitations. They are not about a good CX, just generating more revenue, bolstering the Great Skate spam list and managing data via a rigid Great Skate platform.
