The Steelie Brown Ale from Skagit River Brewing.
    Alden C.

I've been to Skagit River Brewery before but I believe they were at a different location but that was years ago. It was nice to return to it however and experience it once again. For my visit to this brewery the beer I had was the Steelie Brown Ale. This was a pretty good brown ale for sure. Flavor highlights with this beer are malty, biscuity, sweet and smoky. The beer is also fairly rich. It was pleasant to get a brown ale again as they are somewhat of an infrequent beer type for me and when I do get them the return is typically a pleasant one. And that is no exception to the Steelie Brown!

Love stopping here when driving down i5. We are able to sit outside with our dogs, rain or shine e (though there are no heaters outside so bring a jacket). Food is really good for a brewery. I got the club, and the turkey was really moist.

10/10 recommend! We had the kid's chicken strip, jalapeño burger & Reuben w/ amazing horseradish slaw. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday, good time to come! Not too busy. Quick service. Everything was fresh and delicious! The ambiance is relaxed, industrial. Small tables, longer/bigger group & booth seating available. You can also reserve upstairs for a group event.

Whether you're a longtime patron or a recent visitor, Skagit River Brewery warrants a visit. The food quality was superb. Our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Ash enjoyed clam chowder, Mak devoured loaded brisket fries, and I delighted in a brisket melt. We concluded our meal feeling gratified. Service exceeded expectations, very attentive. Love the atmosphere very welcoming.

Simple, convenient and delicious pub fare. We decided to share some dishes between 2 people and the portions were large. The OG was fully loaded with great fries served on the side. We opted for additional pepper Jack cheese and pickled. Caesar salad was large and fresh. Also, using our Yelp app for checkin provided a discount. Our bartender Matt was awesome, attentive and personable. Great spot to eat!

Outdoor dog friendly patio. Good news for your furry friends. Friendly service also. Actually, some of the best service I have had in a bit. Felt like we had two servers making sure we got water and our beverages quickly. The beer list was fairly long too. I decided on the railroad saison which was perfect for a hot summer like day. Refreshing and bubbly. My friend and I both had pub burgers which were just right with beer. Cooked just over medium and on a fresh bun that was not too doughy and your choice of cheese. I had pepper jack cheese which had the perfect amount of spice. The french fries weren't anything spectacular but served the purpose of crunchy fried potatoes. A solid beer and food situation here. Parking lot is super small but there is street parking nearby. Mt. Vernon is a cute little town. Can't wait to come back and visit.

Food was blah and portions small. I could have cooked at home and it would have tasted 5 star in comparison. I left hungry

The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

Not just a brewery, women-owned TH is also a taphouse featuring an assortment of tasty local and regional beers, wines, seltzers, and ciders. You'll find anything from their own house-brewed beers to local favorite breweries from around Washington State. I like going here with The Dude, because they've always got at least a couple of good IPAs on tap for him, as well as more mild choices for those of us who aren't as into over-the-top hoppiness. What sets Temperate Habits apart, though, is their excellent menu. From quirky options (like their famous mac 'n cheese burger) to more traditional offerings (like my favorite, the caesar salad with salmon), there's something here to fit most tastes, and most budgets. We love going here for lunch, grabbing a couple of pints, and splitting one of their tasty cheeseburgers. I'm also a fan of their appetizer brussel sprouts, made (of course) with Skagit Valley's finest. They do have an outdoor patio, which is a good place for people watching (but can get kind of loud as it's right on the street). Going solo? There's almost always a spot at their friendly bar!

This place deserves ALL THE STARS!…read more It doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact, we were on our way to La Conner when we happened to pass this place and I decided to look it up. I saw they had BBQ, and the reviews seemed to rave about it, so we flung a U-ie and came here. IM SO GLAD WE DID. You walk in and order your food at the counter, then head next door (still inside the same building) to grab your beer. Tons of seating both inside and out. **St Louis ribs are only sold on Saturdays** FYI We got a flight of ciders and beers, and for food we got BBQ nachos, ribs, and I think my husband got a burger. My husband said his burger was good, BUT THESE RIBS, YALL. They stole the show. They were honestly the best ribs I've EVER had! So tender, and the dry rub was amazing. I highly suggest getting them dry and getting the BBQ sauce on the side. That way you can taste how good they really are before being drenched in their delicious BBQ sauce. As for the beers, I wanted to give a shout out to their Coconut Stout. I've had many coconut stouts that I want to be good, and they all fall flat. But this has been my favorite coconut stout of all time! You could taste the full flavor profile of the toasted coconut! It was incredible! I give this place a 10/10! We will definitely be back!!
