I ate here in the early afternoon during the week. It was not very busy at the time, but the service was excellent! Leo took care of me during my entire meal. I had steak and unlimited shrimp... And the shrimp just kept coming. The shrimp was crispy and hot, very tasty. The steak was prepared. Exactly as I requested, and it was juicy and tender. This is one of only two Sizzlers's left in San Diego. It seems that every time I go to a new Sizzler, I have to synchronize with a new server. I have been going to this restaurant since it reopened after the Pandemic, and I must say, it is excellent. All the people are great. And my new server Hugo, it the best. He knows my likes and dislikes, and always seems to know when I come in, bringing my water l, lemon, etc., almost the same time I sit down. Amazing! They have outside dining I'll put in the photo attached. No salad bar of course you go through the line and then exit the back door to get seated on the parking lot turned patio. Today the weather is perfect and the breeze is perfect so it is extremely pleasant. The Texas toast today is the best ever in my life. The big bottle of dos equis makes a couple glasses. Waiting on my shrimp. I started with the spinach cranberry salad and it was excellent. Shrimp 3 ways is perfect. Before covid I ate there at least once a month or more. I loved their salad bar and cheese toast and was a good price. Now it's on the expensive side, salad bar only half of what it once was. Cut back on the dessert bar as well. The waiter was attentive and the restaurant in general seemed to be immaculately clean and sanitary. This time I ordered the shrimp, shrimp, shrimp. When our Sizzler in San Diego shut down, we began going to the Oceanside Sizzler. Hugo, our server, has made the transition seamless, and has been our server ever since. It is always refreshing to walk into the restaurant and Hugo immediately knows our habits, like hot water and lemon, which it promptly set up on our table. Okay, so hear me out. Probably one of the best salad bars. And it's only 10 bucks. But, their main dishes are pretty low quality. Small steak that's tougher than nails.
