I promise you it's really that good, please try both. Our cocktails were PERFECTLY made. The staff was on it, I mean you can tell they work as a team. Different ppl checking on us (but not in an overbearing way) clearing plates, making sure the food was to our satisfaction. Always filling waters. Very friendly. I haven't had this good of a restaurant experience in years. Idk if we just got lucky or this is how it always is here since today was our first visit, but we will definitely be back and hopefully capture this magic again lol Ambiance was ok, the other patrons were a little loud but I expect that on a Sunday late at night. Decor was interesting and place has a cool lounge area. Big bar! :) Highly recommend this place! :)

We came here Labor Day weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday…read more My dad had called ahead to reserve a table since it was 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We were seated right away. We started with some appetizers - my favorite was the crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Everything was perfectly roasted and there was a great kick with the habanero jam feta. The fly basket was pretty good, but keep in mind that the portion size is small - 3 of each of the hush puppies, fried shrimp, and fried green tomatoes. My husband ordered one of the specials which was a short rib pot pie - one of our favorite dishes of the night. The short rib was so tender and the dish was rich but in the perfect way. I ordered the tri tip sando. It was loaded up with meat and grilled peppers and onions. I upgraded my fries to truffle fries and those were really flavorful! My mom ordered the cioppino. She was a little disappointed by how many mussels there were in the dish - she had been hoping for more fish and shrimp. She said the flavor was good though. For dessert, we did opt to try the beignets. Honestly I could have done without them. They weren't as light and fluffy as they could've been. Overall, it was a good experience with great accommodations for our toddlers and great service.

The kind of view where you catch yourself staring at the water like you're in a dramatic movie scene, contemplating life, love, and whether you should order another martini. But today the bar area and atmosphere captured our attention. The place is clean, elegant, and effortlessly classy. Not pretentious, just that perfect "I'm on the coast living my best life" energy. The atmosphere is warm, breezy, and polished enough that even the silverware feels like it pays rent. Service was excellent, the team took care of us like VIP guests at a private tasting. Attentive, friendly, and smooth. No chaos, no attitude, no disappearing acts. Just genuine hospitality that makes you think, "Yeah... this is why Oceanside stays winning." We only stopped in for drinks, but you know, that did not happen. Now let's talk about the fresh, amazing ceviche tostada, because this thing deserves its own paragraph, its own applause, and honestly maybe its own mural. The fish, "Wow"...packed with flavor, Fresh...fresh. The citrus? Bright enough to wake your soul. The seasoning? Balanced like it studied meditation. And the fresh avocado? Thick, creamy slices that sit on side like royalty. This tostada didn't come to play, it came to change your mood, your day, and possibly your future plans. Now my martini is talking...ha ha ha. It's the kind of dish that makes you consider ordering two more "just to confirm the flavor profile." "Bloody Mary Oyster Shots" These shots were dangerously delicious. Spicy, briny, bold, and smoother than a pickup line from someone who actually knows what they're doing. You take one and immediately think: "Yep... we're definitely doing another round." They were fresh, flavorful, and honestly? A little too good. The kind of shot that makes you question why you ever settled for regular Bloody Marys in your life. This was the main reason for stopping by, the "Amazing Dirty Filthy Martinis" Ah yes... the dirty filthy martinis, the ones you enjoyed at the bar while soaking in the ambience and plotting your next visit. Perfectly chilled. Perfectly briny. Perfectly filthy. Mmmmmm hmmmm, These martinis were so good they should come with a warning label. And the bartenders? On point. Skilled, fast, friendly, and clearly proud of their craft. You can tell they're the type who could make a martini blindfolded and still nail it. The ceviche tasted like Poseidon himself personally approved it. The oyster shots were so good they convinced me to order a few more rounds. So delicious! And those martinis? Filthy enough to make you blush, classy enough to make you behave. This place is clean, elegant, delicious, and run so well. Special thanks to the staff and management! "Enjoying life...One bite...one sip at a time, foodie & drinkie style!" Miguel C.

One of my favorite things is that they still offer a tableside salad bar, which adds such a classic touch to the dining experience. It's super cute, full of character, and has a warm, intimate atmosphere that you don't find very often anymore. I did let them know that if there was an extra service charge to let me know and I'd be happy to pay it, and I know we were a large party during peak hours. Service was absolutely abysmal. I was so disappointed. Took an hour for our appetizers to be ordered and come out and our food took longer. A lot of the sauces we ordered on the side were rancid, and waiters hardly checked in. We found ourselves having to get up from our table multiple times to go find a server to refill water, grab more silverware, etc. Also took 45 minutes for them to clear the table so we could do cake. We had to request small dessert plates 3 times and they still didn't bring out enough. Overall, food is great (minus the rancid sauces) and it's a good price. But I was super disappointed at the level of service we were given. Would I return? Maybe during lunch. For a birthday with more than 3 people? Absolutely not.

I instantly set a reservation (didn't really need it) and we arrived around 4pm on a Tuesday and sat on the patio. I ordered the Ribeye as my birthday entree and we also ordered the Fried Zucchini ($7), Popcorn Chicken ($9), Guajillo Braised Pork Shoulder ($21) and several cocktails ($7 each during HH). Everything was great honestly. No complaints. My wife REALLY loved the braised pork shoulder. My steak was excellent and even though it was free, $32 for a ribeye is the lowest you'll find anywhere. It was nice having not having to fight for a seat. Enjoying a cocktail on the patio in perfect weather is something everyone should try.
