Always love seeing Silvia here! She's always on point with the service- just enough cheese bread, keeps the dishes coming, and brings the drink refill before you run out. read more

Nice and Cozy place to dine I just have my 48th wedding anniversary with my family they are all satisfied what they order plus all you can eat salad bar and drinks. Affordable prices clean and well organize. Our server Fey did a good job she always ask if we need something. What a experience Love the place. read more

The service, food and cleanliness of the restaurant was excellent. It has been years since we have eaten at a Sizzler but will definitely go again soon. The steak was cooked to perfection and the spinach salad apparently was a new addition -- could easily make a meal just on that read more

Save yourself and cook something at home. I thought I was being punk'd when I got home and looked at my order. Then I knew I was when I took a bite. I threw everything away, even the mint. The tooth pick was the only saving grace. read more

Terrible, they never get our orders right. Food is either undercooked or over cooked. My dad had a burger that was a mountain of grease and my steak was actually raw. My step mothers baked potato was horrendous. All in all they never get anything right and it's a disappointment. read more

Awful place to eat from , I ordered a steak medium well and it was so tough I couldn't even finish it , the cashier at the front was very rude , I asked for some napkins , and her said "I'm not your server " ask her !! In a very rude tone ! I barely could get a refill on my drink and they took forever to serve my food !! Terrible terrible place to eat if you like steaks , I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to eat read more

Ordered shrimp 3 ways...came out before my mom even finished getting her plate from the salad bar. Everything was delicious but the best part was how friendly and accomadating our server Fey was! Friendly, sweet and made sure we had everything we could possibly need ...we didn't even have to ask and this is especially appreciated being that it was at lunch time and was very busy. Great job! read more

Service was great from start to finish. Our waitress Fey C. was very attentive and prompt with all our needs. Checked on us several times to make sure we were good, til the very end. She made sure our experience was awesome. The food was fresh & hot, but have gotten smaller in portion. But overall a great experience. read more

Food was extremely disappointing and waitress was rude and ignored us completely. I love sizzles so recieving food as bad as I did was extremely disappointing. It took us over a half an hour to get the waitresses attention for a box, when she finally brought one it was tiny and we clearly ate none of our food. read more

This is probably the best buffet in town! Salad bar?! A steal. I love coming here after a long day when I want some bomb.com food. I always get amazing service when I'm here. Our waiter was Sandy. She brought everything in a timely manner. Amazing service, always coming back!! read more

Food was subpar, but the server Sandy was absolutely amazing! Very sweet lady with great customer service. 5 stars specifically for her.

We had dinner here a few nights ago. I ordered the steak and lobster and my boyfriend ordered steak and shrimp. We were very disappointed our bill was very expensive and the steaks sucked. They were small and they were burnt all we tasted was the burnt flavor i took 2 bites and couldn't eat anymore and my boyfriend ate maybe half of his. The only thing that was ok was the shrimp even the salad bar was lacking. The one star is for the staff they were nice. For the price we paid and the horrible food I will not return here. If you're craving steak and lobster go to a real steakhouse not here. read more

I came for my husband's birthday and ate outside. There is ONE girl working as the server AND bussing tables!!! Her name is Janessa. She was literally racing back and forth from inside to outside and serving everyone out here!! I had to go back in to add a tip to my card for her because I didn't have enough in my wallet for the amount she deserved. She's working hard during this time and I wanted to make sure that she got the credit for how hard she is working while still checking on us and making sure we were doing okay throughout the entire meal! She even asked if I made a mistake on the amount of tip that I gave her!! I didn't. It was well deserved. Thank you Janessa!!! read more

2nd time ordering through UBer eats. The restaurant doesn't seem to be concerned about putting out orders correctly!! Last month they sent their steak out - overcooked when asked for rare . Missing items !! They just shrugged it off and told me to take it up with UBer eats for a refund! Today 6/28 evening . Missing Fish n chips $15.49, baked potato 6.98, cranberry side salad $3.99, Steak and herbed chicken cold, chicken was raw! Steak upgrade size was acceptable but very cold, and missing add ons. After all these years its still one of my favorite places to eat. Love the fresh salad bar the most. I'm always treated very well by our usual server Fey. I look forward to seeing her as she is very attentive to us with refills on drinks, extra plates or anything else we need. Jessica at the cash register is so kind and always greets us with a big smile. These 2 ladies make this place fun and believe in excellent customer service! read more

This was the first time I've been to sizzlers since I was a kid. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the service and my food. I had the steak and lobster with a salad bar plate. My plate looked even better then the picture on the wall, and tasted even better. I will definitely be visiting this sizzlers again. read more

This was an awesome Sizzler. We were in town over the weekend and ate dinner here with my parents and grandfather. There were five of us total, which shouldn't have been very hard to seat, except it was during their rush hour for dinner. Thankfully, the staff had it worked down to a tee. The people at the cash registers take your order. Then there are either servers or runners who will seat you at your table. Then you have the person who actually serves your table. Her name was Alma and she was excellent. We left her a tip afterwards for doing such a great job. She made sure our iced teas were refilled, she brought us plates and extra napkins, and just basically checked back with us periodically to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. She was an excellent server and definitely earned her tip with us that night. Most of us ordered the all you could eat salad bar, but I'll get back to that in a second. My stepdad ordered the Fisherman's Platter with a baked potato. He was pleasantly stuffed with his meal and loved every single bite of it. My grandfather ordered the shrimp skewers and devoured it along with his baked potato. As I mentioned the rest of us got the salad bar. What I liked about this was that they had all the stations separated so as not to create a backlog of people in any one area. The salad bar was in a different location to the hot food station and the ice cream/dessert bar. The salad fixin's were plentiful and had all my favorites (diced ham, olives, bleu cheese crumbles, the list goes on). The only thing we noticed for the ice cream station was there were no gummy bears. Darn. Other than no gummy bears, we satisfied our tummies with some good food. read more

Can't quite remember the last time I've been to Sizzler, must of been years ago, but what I did remember was that the food was way better than it is today/ So came into Sizzler for the second time in my life because the bf was craving a nice steak with the endless shrimp. Honestly, I wasn't even hungry when we came here but I was like "What the heck, must be good if everyone is in here" I was totally wrong. The service we received from the cashier was bad. We kept telling her that the bf and I were just going to split the steak and endless shrimp combo he ordered and I didn't want to pay for the salad bar cause I wasn't going to have any, but she said we had to buy it for two because there was two of us. First off, salad bar was yucky and I didn't want any anyways. The only good service we received was from our Server. Other than that, I would rather eat Dining Commons food from the UC than come back here. Yuck. read more

Food was good! No complaints! Service a little slow! Prices like everywhere have gone up!

I hadn't been to my local sizzler in over a year but their recent advertisements for the grilled tri tip and shrimp skewers, with grilled zuccini, and corn reeled me in. Unfortunately I was disappointed that they served me charred / really burnt zuccini. One side was cooked decent but they put the black side down and I did not notice until I started chewing what tasted like a ball of smoke, how could they even serve this? My tri tip was cold and the rest barely warm. The waitress was nice and friendly , did a good job and brought us perfectly cooked zuccini after I asked. Overall I was really disappointed in the food and it was not worth a $50 tab :( :( read more

A Merced staple ever since Happy Steak closed decades ago. I have been here several dozens of times since I was a kid, and from my memory I cannot remember a single unpleasant eating experience. Food brought to your table hot and fresh, the salad bar is expansive and probably the best one in all of Merced. The service is excellent, courteous, and fast. Some of the workers have been here for a real long time and they are the backbone of this establishment. Great house steaks, chicken if real good, seafood is priced fair, and salad bar rocks, The dessert bar is lacking. Only soft serve ice cream, fruits, and pudding. Ehhh But the biggest selling point for me is the superior service. read more

The salad bar is great, the salmon stuffed with crab is no longer available. Bummer. I wish they had a one trip salad bar for a tad less than the whopping $11. Yikes. So, I tried the plank salmon tonight. Every time I write anything even slightly negative I think abut the guy who wrote me and asked why I bother to go out? Well, because we are hungry, we rate restaurants and like to find good places, which we do. Then he asked me why I didn't give the places a chance to fix the meal. D.B.,, this review is for you. If I return the salmon because it is full of fat and slimy and under cooked, and I wait for twenty minutes for the replacement salmon and now my husband is done eating, the waitress brings me the new salmon and says to check it to see if it is alright, DO NOT ASSUME it was cooked right the second time. COME BACK to find out the second salmon is even worse, and much thinner and smaller a portion that the first for $14. I don't think so. Salmon should be moist and flaky, not runny and slimy. I did not even take it home for the cats. I tried to give them a fourteenth try and they failed. Again. Back to the salad bar for me. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had...the price for the dinner buffet was 13.50 and its the same good that's served at lunch. The soup had a funny taste to it, there were very wrinkled cherry tomatoes, cut up limes that were brown!! One employee called another one over and were stopping something out of the salad dressings. I completely wasted 30.00 on the worst buffet. I will NEVER Ever go back!! read more

I think everyone who reviews Sizzler's always says that it's one of the better Sizzler's around. Granted, most of the Sizzler's that have survived through to these times is probably "one of the better one's", but having tried several branches around the bay area, I think both the hot food bar and the salad bar are above average. Came on a Sunday night for dinner, three of us ordered entrees and added the endless soup/salad bar, probably spending in the low teens each. We each filled a modest plate of hot food consisting of fried chicken (yum), potato wedges, and nachos/soft tacos/hard tacos with plentiful toppings that include salsa and guacamole. Meats included the typical grilled chicken, ground beef, and even had carnitas! Soup was hearty, and better selection than just ministrone and chicken noodle. We pretty much finished our hot food before the entrees were brought out, so we just decided to save it to take home for leftover lunch =) Salad was fresh, not wilted. We were so full by the time we went for the fresh greens though, but wanted to get it in our bellies to balance out the fried chicken and tacos =P Definitely check out if you're in the area! read more

After a hassle of not being able to sit on right side of restaurant due to employees wanting to leave early was a total disappointment as a past Busser/waitress it was very disturbing the manager took care of the issue and resolved it and kammie was our waitress and she was very professional and took care of our party. Food was ok. Burnt shrimp but she took care of it for us. i wish I had more cash to give her. Thank you kammie for your service and you should definitely be recognized for your work And customer service. read more

Service sucks !!!!! There was 6 of us they brought out just one plate. Then finally they brought the other the plates . Well they told me that they some other waitress took my plate. So manager came out offered me salad bar. Told him I just wanted my plate I ordered. Spent $130. Think they would be more on the ball Worst service and manager is a joke. They should have given my plate free. Because this was all there fault. Won't go back. read more

This place is below average for the high price and I mean high. It seems everything is cooked before and then microwaved. I spent $130 for four people and it didn't taste like $130. With two of the plates being dry burgers! Food was not worth the price! Won't be back! read more

My mother took us here for the 1st anniversary of my wife and I. She had the 8 oz steak and I had the bacon burger. Both were absolutely delicious. We've gone to a few places where people don't seem to have a lot of experience grilling steak to a medium rare, but here they are familiar with it. When I have the money to, I will make sure to go here to eat another burger plate. read more

I found this to be an excellent Sizzler location. I had my first experience with Sizzler here, and I promptly recommended Sizzler to several people after my visit here. Since then, I've been to other locations, but so far I've enjoyed this location the most. I personally encountered great customer service here. Many waiters came to our table to check on how we were doing, and as we sat near the salad bar, we saw the employees frequently doing rounds around the salad bar to make sure that all the food was kept fresh and stocked. We never had a problem with too many plates at our table, and our drinks were regularly refilled. The employees definitely deserved their tip during my visit. They did lax in keeping stock of items in less obvious locations, such as the soup spoons and bacon bits, but it overall didn't dampen our experience. The baked potato could have used more pizzazz and the cheese toast was beyond salty, but overall I had a great time here. Overall, very satisfied with this location compared to the other Sizzlers I've been to. read more

Okay, I completely forgot about this place until I saw Anthony Bourdain's little segment on Sizzler with David Cho in Los Angeles, proclaiming this is the "Asian" place to be- and I can definitely see why! It's a funny setup to a buffet that promises a lot but only delivers the next day in the form that ends up in your plumbing system. I'll admit it is a guilty pleasure eating the poorly prepared food that tastes incredible but has absolutely no substance at all in any way. I can't complain other than the food was definitely nothing I can't find in the TV dinner aisle at my local Wal-Mart, the price isn't horrible and is quite affordable and you can tell some people really enjoy the free refills and the unlimited aspects of the portions at the cost of their own well-being which made me feel quite depressed here. Not sure what else to say. read more
