    Campechana

First time at Mariscos El Nacho and it did not disappoint! I ordered the campechana and it was amazing--super flavorful and generously packed with camarones, callo de acha, and pulpo. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion was more than satisfying. They also brought out a side of salsa that was nice and spicy--definitely had a kick, but it complemented the seafood perfectly. The service was friendly and quick, and the whole vibe felt authentic and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu!

My wife and I were craving some shrimp cocktails. We searched around and came across Mariscos El Nacho. So we drove over and tried it out the only negative I could say about our experience is that it was cold in there but after some spicy salsa and chips we were just fine. The cocktails (campechana for me and shrimp cocktail with mango for her) came out filled to the brim with fresh sea food. They definitely satisfied our craving. The portions were HUGE and the service was good. We will be back !

La suciedad del camarón. Shrimp guts.

The shrimp are not cleaned, they give you the shrimp with all its guts. Its disgusting. El camarón no lo limpian, lo cortan y pican con toda la suciedad. Me imagino que así han de hacer con toda la comida. No recomiendo este lugar para nada.

The place was clean and the food was great. Will definitely be back when we're in the neighborhood again. The seafood wasn't fishy and two dishes fed the 4 of us. . We got the seafood tower (Pastelito de Mariscos) delicious but definitely needed more lime and salt. And we got the shrimp in the green sauce(don't know what's it's called)... got a spicy kick but so freaken good. We also go the squid sugar drink(non alcoholic).... Definitely a must get.

My honey and I ate here today. The food was good. My honey ordered the Cocktail de cameron y pulpo. Large portion plenty of shrimp and fresh. I ordered the Kobe tostada so delicious spicy and lemony lots of flavor. Service was good too friendly staff.

Our go to ceviche spot! Seriously the best in town. They are always doing tons of take out orders too. I usually just get 1 shrimp tostada (cooked) and leave full.

    The best mariscos

Los mariscos are delicious, great presentation. Excellent service. Do recommend for you to come & enjoy fresh seafood.

Edit to my pervious review. I'm very happy I gave this hidden jewel in Merced another chance! I was very, very pleased that they remembered us and let us know that our review was appreciated and that they took note of our opinion. This speaks highly of the ownership. The music was pleasant and at comfortable levels. It just happened to be louder on the previous visit. Again, the food was on point! We brought the kids this time. (Ages 9, 8, and 7) they really enjoyed it! We ordered Kobe Tostada sauce on the side Tostiloco Nacho Pastelito So so good! I invite you all to come. Prices are very good for the amount of food. Great for small groups.

Awesome tostadas place. A lot of returned customers. Staff made us guacamole to order. Highly recommended!

If you have never had Mexican seafood nachos and can only visit one restaurant in Merced, I would recommend Mariscos el Nacho. This family run business consisting of the dad and his two sons makes excellent food. I have come here 2-3 times a week and highly recommend the Kobe nachos/tostada. It is a combination of diced cooked and raw shrimp, cucumbers, onions, and mangos mixed in this special mildly spicy, limey, delicious sauce. It comes with some chips to dip into the shrimp mixture, all for $8, generous portions. If you are trying to eat healthy, this is a high protein meal! The food is simple, fast, delicious, generous, and reasonably priced. The staff are super nice and chill. I am so sad that I will be leaving Merced after only 3 months and won't have a chance to eat here again anytime soon, but am glad to have found them early on. They have an assortment of other seafood options, but I loved the Kobe so much I didn't get a chance to try any of the other ones! Seafood nachos are the best and this is the place to get them. And for those with sensitive stomachs out there like me, worried about eating raw shrimp from a small restaurant, I will say that the food sanitation here has not been a problem for me; after eating here countless times, I have yet to have a stomach ache.

Doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but they have the best seafood in Merced. Best shrimp cocktail, shrimp ceviche, and Micheladas!

Went in for lunch but the smell of old seafood was overpowering so we left. Had good reviews but we were unable to risk it.

It's not a very big restaurant, but when you walk in it seems there might be a private room immediately on the right side of entry, unless it's just a small area to the restrooms. Almost all the tables were taken, but these ladies hustled! As soon as we ordered the service was fast and they did not miss a beat. As soon as my son sipped his last drink, here comes the lady with another drink. I was so impressed with the service here. I watched other tables and she was on top of those tables too! The menu has so much to choose from that I didn't know what to get. I ended up getting a shrimp plate and I was sooo full that I didn't finish my food. They serve pretty good size portions here that I was anticipating eating all my food because I was hungry, but they came out with this big oval sized plate. I would love to come again. Service was amazing, it seems like a family owned business and they are super friendly and welcoming here. If you love Mexican food and you're from this are and don't know where to go, check this place out next time!

I believe it's to expensive for what it is.

You know the food's gonna be good when there are Mexican grandmas eating breakfast there. We were brought chips with three different types of salsa. All were good but just different. I cannot express how good everything really was from top to bottom on the burrito. Carne asada was light, not chewy, seasoned well enough. Shrimp tasted like it was just freshly cooked. Tortilla was super thin and light, but held surprisingly well. Rice, which I often hate, was excellent. The Smokey chipotle sauce that comes with it was outstanding! On top of that all of their chips are VERY good. Salas had to of been made that day. They were spicy and exactly what I had hoped for in a salsa. Service was solid, my burrito was piping hot. I'd consider this place to be much more like a hole in the wall type business. They aren't big on the thrills, but man they deliver on the food. Burrito: 8.6/10 DEFINITELY will be back!
