This is my favorite tacos/burrito spot in all of Merced. During lunch and dinner it gets wild! There's parking in front of the truck and near the side of the Chevron where it is located. They have a couple of tables and chairs if you cannot wait to eat at home. They also take orders over the phone which is convenient. My favorite is the al pastor burrito supreme. The magical blend of spices, sparse--yet delicious chunks of warm pineapple(surprisingly delicious cause I have grown to enjoy this) give you that slightly sweet, savory and creamy flavor with contrasting textures of the meat to cheese, to fresh cilantro and onions ratio. The wonderful support from their salsa makes my taste buds fully invested. Top off every bite with a squeeze of lemon and once that runs out I dare you to bite the pickled jalapeño and squeeze the jalapeño juice over every bite. I enjoy the cabeza tacos as well. They got their stuff figured out and I am a loyal customer. Enjoy! P.s. sorry, no pictures! read more

They have a wide selection of options. I don't want to recommend this place because it already has a lot of people. I also don't want to discredit their hard work and delicious flavors. This is by far my favorite taco truck. I recommend, asada, pollo, carnitas and tripas. They are usually served with several slices of cucumber and a grilled serrano. Give them a try and thank me later. Yes they take phone orders and debit cards. read more

This is a staple for us anytime we travel from to and from Sacramento to fresno! Their carnitas is always on point! Very good and quick service especially as they are always busy! We usually call our order in when we are 20 mins away and it's ready when we arrive! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Wish I would have tried out the ceviche, but the asada and carnitas that I had in a taco and a torta were some of the best meats I've had. Ever. Merced can get hot. It was interesting to see people who'd ordered already sitting in their cars with the A/C going. Oh yeah, and they're all parked facing a very tall Chevron sign. As I'd stopped by on a drive, we didn't stop to eat. Accordingly, they had nowhere to sit (aside from your car and 5 or 6 parking spaces) and it was hot. The tacos were excellent with their awesomely seasoned meat in those two corn tortillas. My torta was my first try at tortas. If they're all like that one, that'll be a new fave amongst the Mexican eats. Burrito had tons and tons and tons of asada and half is being kept for a later meal. Six bucks for this monstrosity. No pictures- was driving and consuming simultaneously. Stop by if in the neighborhood. These tacos out-do most (if not all) brick and mortar eateries. Time to go to the gas station for some tacos already!!! read more

The food and service has gone down.. the meat is tough and worth it for the price.. they focus so much on phone orders to where they forget about the actual customers that walk up and order.. i seen a customer wait in his car for an extra 10 mins and his food was done already and waiting up front by the window... read more

Great food- love ceviche for lunch but especially on a hot day when driving and in the car all day. This is the best we have had . I chose the shrimp and my husband likes shrimp and octopus. It was fresh very flavorful with lots of avocado We liked it so much the memory caused us to order it in a restaurant in Long Beach. It could not come close to what we had. Would order again each time we come through. What a great find off 99. read more

Work has me going all over NorCal, which seems to be anything north of Bakersfield lol. So I ended up at Tacos Sinaloa due to a recommendation from a client. To verify my gringo client's suggestion I did a quick Yelp search that corresponded with his recommendation. I tapped the directions into Waze and BOOM I ended up in the parking lot of a Chevron on the north side of I-99 staring at a taco truck with a banner sign that had a Mexican cowboy doing some weird ass shit to his crotch. Let me pause here and say that I fucking love taco trucks. And to comment on what a sell-out pro-Trump Latino pundit said in response to what would happen if Hilary were to be elected that "there would be taco trucks on every corner", pendejo, that would be the most awesomest shit everrr! I swear, can't wait for Taco Tuesday Election Day to make Oompa Loompa go away. Anyways, like 99.999999% of authentic taco trucks, this roach coach is CASH ONLY. Also, I think due to the conditions of their lease with Chevron they do not sell drinks. Not a biggie since Chevron is fully stocked, has air conditioning, and there is a single unisex bathroom. The air conditioning helps because man there is no shade in the parking lot. If you come at lunch time, prepare yourself for a long ass wait. In addition to being popular, the ladies making the tacos are kind of slow. Okay let's be honest, ridiculously slow. However, I thought the wait was worth it because the tacos were good and cheap! I guess the closer to LA the trucks are the cheaper the tacos. I ended up getting carne asada, al pastor, lengua, and a fish taco. All four tacos came with their spicy red sauce that was good but overpowering to the point that all four tacos looked and tasted the same... The sliced radishes, grilled onions, and jalapeño were a nice complimentary add-on, and for a meal under $6 you won't see me bitching. Regular tacos are $1.25 and the fish taco was $1.75. At the end of the day, I thought the price was right and the salsa was nice making the tacos good. Best tacos ever status? Definitely not. However, Tacos Sinaloa is a decent pit stop off of I-99 if you are hungry and need to fill up on gas. Just beware that if you are in a rush, be prepared to be hangry "porque las damas son lentos". Rounding up to 4 stars in case they are associated with the Sinaloa Cartel. This truck, my go-to among all the taco trucks, comes with a caveat: be prepared for a wait. Don't let its unassuming façade fool you, as I did, into thinking you'll be enjoying your meal in no time. Despite the absence of a line or cars in the parking lot, I've spent 30 to 45 minutes waiting for my food, watching cars pull out to pick up their orders. It turns out that calling in your order is the way to go, as many people do, to avoid a lengthy wait. read more

caca. The tripas are not clean and shrimp is like rubber. Worst taco experience ever. Ive been many places and this place sucks. If I could rate a 0 than I would. Save your cash. This is for the trash. Sorry Sinaloa. You need flavor and quality ingredients to keep me interested. Btw. My order was 2 tacos tripas and 2 shrimp tacos. I waited 30 mins. And it sucked. read more

I came here yesterday. I was pleased. I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos. I ordered carnitas, asada, and pastor. Pastor was amazing and flavorful. Definitely try them if you come. Asada was good, could have been more flavorful, but still pretty darn good. Carnitas was okay. It was too salty and I have definitely had better. The tortillas weren't very flavorful but the texture was okay. The homemade salsa they put on their tacos is amazing. Very flavorful and not too hot, but still has a spice. Prices are average, the truck looks great and clean. They take debit, credit, and cash. I give 4 stars because I was pleased with the meats, even if a little too salty (carnitas). Another con was the sides. The onions weren't up to standard, and that's all they really give you on the side. The pepper is pickled and not too spicy, and I really enjoyed it. There could have been a radish tho, and the onions on the side should have been grilled. I'll definitely come back here when I am in merced. I do recommend this place, though, it might be second on my list in merced as far as taco trucks are concerned. read more

TL;DR: Shrimp was overcooked and dry AF. Tacos were ok. MY FELLOW ELITES YOU HAVE FAILED ME I really wish I had the experience that they had, but my experience with Tacos Sinaloa was meh... Maybe it was an off day, but this is my first and last time I'll eat here. I rather go to Taco truck Hidalgo. So I decided to do a Thursday Taco Truck Challenge. I got Tacos from here, and Tacos from the Hidalgo Truck. I went to Sinaloa first, then I waited about 15 mins to get my food at tacos Tacos: The tacos were pretty tasty. They were $2 each for the Supreme the main difference was that the Sinaloa Tacos were not crispy. I checked and it seems like they were heated up. Hidalgo Tacos had a noticeable crispiness to them. Shrimp: I ordered a shrimp plate, and the food was inedible. You get 8 small tortillas, beans, rice, with a cooked jalapeno, lime, and grilled onions. I know I waited a bit to eat the food, but the Shrimp was way overcooked. As soon as I opened my container I could tell there was something wrong. Shrimp should be firm and tender, but what I got was hard and dry (see pic). The beans and rice were not worthy of the calories. So I left those 3/4 eaten. read more

This is my favorite mexican food in Merced. Every time I visit my parents I have to stop by for a been and cheese quesadilla (i'm vegeterian). Sometimes I ask them to add jalapenos too! Their green salsa is delicious and the quesadilla is always grilled to be slightly crispy (if you eat it quickly). It is soooo good and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. My meat eating counterparts also love this place and cosign it :) One downside is that sometimes they only have the red salsa which is lackluster.... read more

English Review: Hey, I think it's time to create some Yelp pages for the Merced taco trucks. Just because they're mobile doesn't mean they don't need some Yelp love. Love them Yelp. LOVE THEM! I was going to give this place three stars but then I didn't, because your face. It's a truck. I'm told they have fish here that a lot of people like because fish is rare at taco trucks. I don't eat fish, but I think it's there. Cool right? Other than that it was otherwise not remarkable. I ordered a burrito supreme, which has been my go-to food item of late, and it tasted roughly exactly the same as every other good-but-not-great taco truck. The salsa was not very spicy, but the jalapeno that came with it was better than most other taco truck jalapenos. So... if that's your thing, then super. Otherwise the food is okay, I guess. Rather than continue I'm going to rewrite my review in Spanish just in case it's your native tongue. Spanish Review: No hablo espanol. read more

I honestly use to love this taco truck but it has really gone down hill ever since the actual owners don't always make the food the girls are rude I ask for salsa she like I already put it in the burrito and I asked for some in the side she asked for $1.00 lol must be new because before they never did i can go to Hidalgo taco truck and let me tell you when u pay for supreme you'll get everything hot and with crema and onions and cilantro and salsa and you'll still get extra on the side and grilled onions on the side at 0 charge I asked for torta supreme and it was just cheese and cilantro and onions and Mayo no sour cream so that was a big no because she said they were out .the meat was cold and chewy the bread was super soggy u can't charge someone supreme and no add the condiments that's wrong . I am not the type of person to leave a bad review especially because I know the owner but this was such a disappointment. I love the tacos here, but don't love the service as much. I hardly write reviews so this says a lot. There's been multiple times in the past that I've ordered and when I get home, I'm missing some tacos From my order. Today I went and they charged nearly $5 extra (miscalculation). Left it as tip, but as we were driving we had to return because they only gave us half of our order (5 tacos missing)! Moral of the story, please check your food before you leave! Do the math yourself before making an order. If it wasn't for the good tacos I'd give it a 2 stars. ): I don't like leaving bad reviews because people don't know what it takes to run a business unless they have one, but please address this issue. Thank you. read more

Muy delicioso! I came here with my bestie after taking a mini road trip to Merced from Sacramento. She's been raving about this little taco truck for months now, maybe years. Firstly, I was a tad disappointed when I was informed that there were no fish tacos (de pescado) left, but we did arrive at 8:50ish PM, so no complaint. Secondly, I was excited again due to shrimp tacos (de camaron) being available, hooray! I ordered 2 w/o onions (cebolla). Omg, the smell when the ladies started up the grill/flat top was enticing. Then I wanted horchata to complete the meal, but they didn't look like they had any (sad panda), but my friend made it better by saying we should get jarritos instead. Amazing idea! We went to the Shell across the way, bought our tamarind jarritos, and went to town on these tacos. The shrimp was fresh and well seasoned. I do wish the salsa was a bit spicier, but I understand not everyone loves the spicy like I do. The grilled jalapeño, lime and radish gave it a perfect balance of crunchy, spicy, and tang. Yummy in my tummy. By far my favorite taco truck in the 209 area. read more

Ugh! What happened to this place? This used to be one of my favorite taco trucks in Merced, but every time I've gone these past couple of months, suck! The meat is so dry and often times burned. I always get the alpastor torta but the quality of the food has gone way down. I changed it up to carne asada and it was not better. It was so hard to chew, since I got all the fat part.
