We got 3 tacos with 3 different meats ( lamb, goat and asada) and were very disappointed. They had no flavor.

The food is so good here for a late night meal! It's worth the drive from Marina. Coming from Fresno I'm used to many Mexican places open late, I've been wanting a place to cover this need and this was it! Their asada fries are my favorite and the prices are great. The pastor and asada tacos both tasted great. We got everything on it which even included salsa/sauce in it. The vampiro taco was the most crunchiest vampiro I've at to date. LOVED that! It could've used a little more meat on it though. The flautas were also crunchy, came with 4, and were filling. The only thing I'd say is the chicken didn't have much flavor, but if you're looking for something a little more simple and like saucing things up, then that would be a great meal to order. Ahhh! So good. Not a shortage of Mexican food trucks in and around Salinas. La Pololma is over all the best I've had. Taco for taco and quesadilla for quesadilla the best. They did a great job catering our friends baby shower, pulling up around the back of the property and setting up. Very professional with service to match. There truck was spotless clean which inspired good eats. I've never had a bad bite of food these guys. Not one negative word was spoken from the maybe sixty people at the shower about there food...just praises. There meats are all well seasoned from the chicken, pork and beef to the chorizo. The Children Taquitos came in 4, norm is usually 3. They were BIG, nice and crispy with moist chicken breast inside. They were double the normal size and did I say they were good! Got 2 Mulitas, basically they were similar to a tostada. The Carne Asada had a peculiar flavor to it? Not good. The Al Pastor was better. Came today around 3:30. Very convenient they take Zelle. Got 2 super burritos with asada and damn they were huge and delicious, meat was well flavored and everything else was on point. Where have these tacos been all my life?? More specifically - where have VAMPIRAS been my whole life?? If you haven't had vampiras before, they're very similar to tacos but they first grill the tortillas with some mozzarella cheese until the tortillas are crispy. They take a tad longer to make because of the extra step but, trust me, they're well worth the wait! Then, they pile on the meat, onions, cilantro, and salsa like a regular taco. Squeeze some limes on those babies and then. Omg pick them up, fold them up, and eat them right up. I LOVE vampiras but very few places make these. In fact, this is the only place I've ever had them. I've also had their regular tacos and they're also amazing but, honestly, why get normal tacos when you can get vampiras? I'm so sad that this is all the way in Salinas since I live in the Bay. Over the years La Paloma has changed if you are from Salinas you'll know the real OG paloma was good ever since the passing of the old owner la paloma has not been the same. The food is amazing; they have some of the most authentic tacos you'll get in the Monterey Bay area and I visit Mexico almost every year so i'm not making it up. Finally found the truck. They must have been closed during covid 19 but who knows. I asked what their usual hours are. They said 3 pm to 3 am. If you like street tacos this is the place to go. The best I ever had. And reading the reviews before I went for first time I also got the Vampiras. OMG. The whole family all tried them and then we ordered 10 more. So Vampiras from now on. They don't post prices I am still trying to figure out how much the Vampiras cost. The first time we went they were $3 each a week and a half later we went and they were $4 each. That has been the ONLY negative experience. Since they only take CASH knowing the price would be a big help. read more

Decided to try this new Taco Truck because it had very few reviews but the few it did, seem to suggest it was a upcoming star. I had the vampiros (vampires) it is a corn tortilla with your choice of meat with mozzarella cheese and onions cilantro and lime and it's a nice twist on your everyday taco. I had the Asada. Meat was excellent and nicely seasoned. The chicken flautas were excellent as well with a nice fresh green sauce and fresh cheese. Ingredients are what should make this Truck sand out. Prices are on the low side for the quality of the product you are getting. Area is not on a main strip and is a little isolated. Parking in the closed businesses was not an issue. I highly recommend it if you want good quick and quality Mexican food. read more

Looks like I'm the first to review La Paloma, not too surprised! This fayuca (Salinas slang for Taco Truck) has been an East Salinas staple for as long as I can remember, I remember coming here as a little boy on Saturday afternoons with my parents for some amazing tacos. Childohhod memories aside, let me briefly review this 'Taqueria on Wheels.' Yes their tacos are awesome, yes their burritos are awesome, yes their quesdaillas are awesome. I particularly enjoy their asada and al pastor tacos. I wish they put a little extra cheese on their quesadillas, but that's just me, since I love cheese. They recently (at least to my knowledge) added Burgers to their menu. I haven't tried them personally, but the regulars that I see there all say they are great and fulfilling, so I'll take their word, I'll update my review once I give 'em a shot. And finally, the people working in the truck are very friendly, and will gladly adhere to your pickiness, though I don't see why anyone would need to be picky here anyway. Oh yeah and they recently installed a TV, which is great for the people that decide to stay and eat, hang out, etc. by the truck, or if you're just waiting for your order. This is the best late night food truck when I'm craving tacos! I always get fish tacos from here, and their champurrado is very good. They have a good menu with lots of choices, and it's cool that they have tons of extra treats and drinks available to purchase. There's a place for you to wash your hands if you need to, and even a TV which is usually playing old Mexican movies haha!
