Needless to say, this location did not disappoint l! From the food, chef Miguel, and our waiter Junior it was an exceptional experience. Miguel played up all the drama I remember as a child for my grandchildren and they loved it all! Junior our waiter was 10 service. He truly was not only good at his job but extremely personable and kind to us. He treated us so nicely and we all appreciated his excellent service and sweet personality!! As a well traveled and always love to eat, we can only say what a great time we had and amazing food!! Loved it all!!

Everything is very well organized despite the matter. Once you get seated your server asks everyone what they'd like to drink & if you'd like to order appetizers. Our server (I can't remember his name) did a very great job! The food is very pricey in the dinner time. I recommend being prepared to pay $20-38 for a 5-course meal. They don't let you order off the lunch menu during dinner Everything was very delicious. The chef was very funny & cooked everything perfectly.

I immediately loved the setup. Instead of the typical romantic table for two, everyone sits together along a large hibachi grill. You might share the table with another party depending on your group size. For a second or third date, it was actually perfect..the lively atmosphere helped ease my nerves and gave us something fun to focus on besides just making conversation. We ended up sharing our grill with a family of four. Our chef was hilarious and super interactive, which made the whole experience entertaining from start to finish. My boyfriend helped me navigate the menu since I had no idea what to order. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp combo, and it did not disappoint. The fried rice was especially delicious..everything was fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed Kyoto Palace. It's a fantastic spot for a fun date night or any evening when you want great food with a little show. We went on a Friday night and it was busy, so I highly recommend making reservations (my boyfriend was smart enough to do so ahead of time). Bonus: It's located in a cute little plaza, perfect for a relaxing stroll before or after dinner. I'm so glad he introduced me to this place..great ambiance and even better company. Highly recommend!

Our chef was really fast and amazing. Thoughtful throughout the process and of course we had ice cream and cheesecake at the end! Love coming out here even though it's a 45 minute drive. Hoping they open up more locations in the Bay Area, pleaseeee!

If you time it right, you can even catch the bagpiper at 5:30pm. I've been to other Roy's locations and always order the miso butterfish. This time, it was still good, but slightly off compared to what I'm used to. It had a faint fishiness that usually isn't there, so while I still enjoyed it, it didn't quite hit that usual top tier standard. We also ordered pasta for my son, which he devoured, and a steak that was solid and well prepared. Overall, the food was good, but not necessarily the highlight. The real standout was dessert. The chocolate lava cake was an absolute slam dunk. Just a heads up, it takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so ordering it midway through your meal is the move. Totally worth it. Service was excellent. Our waiter was polite and thoughtful, especially recommending we order the lava cake early, which saved us a long wait at the end. Parking is easy with plenty of self parking available, and after your meal you can walk around or head into 17 Mile Drive, which makes the whole outing feel like more than just dinner. One tip: try to get a reservation on the earlier side and request a window seat if possible. A lot of people come just to see the bagpiper, so being able to enjoy that from inside the restaurant is a nice bonus. Overall, you're coming here for the experience. The views, the atmosphere, and the setting make it hard to beat, especially around sunset.
