We celebrated our anniversary at Fujiyama and had a wonderful experience…read more The food was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The prices were right in line with what you'd expect for a hibachi restaurant, so we felt we got great value for the money. I also appreciated that they serve drinks in large soda cups--a small touch, but one I really liked. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely polite from start to finish. Our hibachi chef was funny, engaging, and did a great job with both the cooking and the entertainment. He made our anniversary dinner even more enjoyable. The only thing that surprised me was how empty the restaurant was. After our experience, I honestly think they deserve more business. If you're looking for good hibachi in Salinas with generous portions, solid prices, and excellent service, I'd definitely recommend giving Fujiyama a try. We'll absolutely be back!

9.7/10 Definitely the best sushi in Salinas I've had so far!…read more I really enjoyed my experience here. I started with the sashimi dinner, which was absolutely amazing no complaints at all. The cuts were generous and incredibly fresh. The Tekka Maki rolls were rolled perfectly, with a great bite and, again, very fresh. We were also treated to dessert and chose the fried green tea ice cream. It was definitely firm, which makes sense since it was fried, but fried green tea ice cream. It was definitely firm, which makes sense since it was fried, but the contrast worked well. Sweet and savory with the crispy exterior overall, really good. Service was fast and efficient, with a very attentive server. The ambiance was clean, nice, and relaxed. It wasn't very busy, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

There are SO MANY special rolls. A few of my favorites are the the hamachi daisuki, sour punch, and pinky pinky roll. I also love ordering a chef special that includes a mix of nigiri, rolls, or sashimi. You can't go wrong with anything you order here, all of the seafood is so fresh, and the fried food is delicious and crispy. The staff are all super friendly and welcome us back every time we visit. The restaurant has a lot of tables (mostly 4 tops), but I've seen them push tables together for larger groups (probably best to call ahead in that case). The decorations are cute, tasteful, and fun, with a mix of studio ghilbli images and samurai themed art. They are usually playing early 2000/2010 music hits which are familiar to me.

Food: We started with Yellowtail Carpaccio (4/5) and their Spicy Tuna Crunch (4/5). For the rolls, we ordered the Firecracker Roll (5/5) and the Yellowtail Bonzai Roll (4/5). Most importantly, all the fish was fresh and the rolls were well made. The service was friendly and attentive. Sushi Time is a good sushi restaurant, just not great. And we are in pursuit of a great sushi restaurant in the greater Monterey peninsula. So, the search goes on!

Once inside, dark lighting with a bar on one side and bigger tables on the other side. Compact but a lot of seating options. Once 4PM hit, we were seated with 1 couple. Waiter came out quickly to take our orders and everything from came out quickly without it feeling rushed. Both the waiter and the chef were super nice, great customer service. My nephew and I even got free shrimp! Fried rice was phenomenal, veggies and chicken I do feel like they could have added some more sauce to them but nevertheless, they were still very delicious. I definitely would recommend this place!

The hosts are super nice and friendly. The person cooking your meals is funny and nice. They make jokes and keep you laughing. The food is good. You choose between steak chicken shrimp lobster scallops or a combination of them. They also have regular rice or fried rice (charges more for fried rice). They give you salad and a broth to enjoy in the beginning. At the end of your meal you get a choice of an ice cream. Overall it's $50-60 a person depending. If you get drinks of course it's more. It was good and I have leftovers for tomorrow!

10/10 must sit on the patio during sunset!…read more It was absolutely beautiful and an irreplaceable once in a lifetime experience. There's a nice outdoor bar area where you can get drinks and appetizers while waiting for your seat. Slow cooked pork belly : 20/10 must try! The crispy outside texture was perfect and the charcoal taste complemented the pork belly fat really well. Szechuan pork ribs: 7/10 Not bad, but the Szechuan flavor lacked and it tasted more like Sriracha. Half butterfish and half ahi tuna dish: 8/10 the sauces were PHENOMENAL!! I'm going to need to get their recipe for their fragrant herbaceous green sauce and the coconutty umami white sauce. The butterfish had a bit of lingering fishiness but the texture was nice with a carmelized crust and soft insides. The ahi tuna was to be expected. Watch out for the spicy wasabi brown sauce! Dark chocolate raspberry molten lava cake: 8/10 I love lava cakes and they gave us an extra cup of dark chocolate to pour on top. I wish the raspberry flavor tasted more natural though. Service: 100/10 everyone was fantastic and our server was incredibly hospitable and nice.

On multiple occasions, we had to ask the busboy to send our waiter over because we were either out of soda, to take our appetizer order, or to find out where our drinks were at once we placed the order. When asking how much longer for our drinks, we were told by our waiter 'I put the order in. It should probably be ready now.' He was not friendly and was not what I expected at all of a Pebble Beach restaurant. We come somewhat often as we only live 30 minutes down the road so this visit definitely fell short. With our tip already being included in the final price, I feel as though the effort from our waiter was as if his service to our table didn't really matter as he was getting his tip either way. The restaurant was not very busy either so it just seemed like a lack of effort. I would like to recognize the busboy as he was extremely attentive and always made sure to clear our table timely. I feel as though he would make a better waiter than the individual we had. The food was subpar for a restaurant of this caliber. My bento box with butterfish came out cold. My mom & sister-in-law ordered the bento box with salmon and both mentioned how there was a lack of flavor. Overall, I think I would go to Sticks at Pebble Beach instead as we have always had great service there.
