We sat for over **20 minutes** without anyone coming to our table--not even to offer water. I eventually had to get up and ask someone to send a server over. What made it even more frustrating was watching other parties who arrived **15-20 minutes after us** receive water immediately and have their orders taken before anyone even acknowledged our table. After finally waiting another 10 minutes to receive our water, we had to track down our server again just to place our food order because no one returned to check on us. By that point, we had been sitting long enough and were more than ready to order. To make matters worse, we ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp about five minutes after placing our entrée order, but it never arrived. After we had already finished our meals, we asked to cancel it, only to be told that our server had never entered the order in the first place. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. This experience was frustrating enough that I cannot recommend Reunion Kitchen. I initially wanted to believe this was simply an off day or an inexperienced server, but after hearing from two other people I know who described nearly identical experiences, it seems this may be a recurring issue. One thing that left me especially uncomfortable was seeing guests who arrived well after us receive prompt attention while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I can't say why that happened, but it certainly made us question whether we were being treated differently. I sincerely hope the restaurant looks into its service standards and ensures every guest is treated with the same level of respect and attention.

But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. At one point they even played a song I walked down the aisle to at my wedding, which is beautiful and all... but not exactly the Tempo experience I came for The food is still the same and was good, but everything that made Tempo Tempo feels completely gone. Now it just feels like a regular, quiet restaurant, and there are already plenty of those around. It's honestly a bummer because Tempo used to have such a fun energy and was always packed. I definitely don't see that line being out the door again anytime soon if this is the new direction.

Parking in Downtown Brea can be a little bit of a hunt on weekends, but it's worth it. Easy to walk to shops or a movie after. I didn't like that the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated by the bathroom and in front of the kitchen. Our server was Bryce and he was nice. We ordered: Steak fajitas - read a lot of reviews about this and it was just okay. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's definitely a serving for 1. The steak was tough, but the veggies had flavor and cooked perfectly. The tortilla was also good. I ended up eating the veggies with the tortilla without the steak. It comes with small ramekins of sour cream, guacamole & the black bean salsa - which was more like a purée. Deviled eggs - so, I love deviled eggs. If it's on the menu at any restaurant, I always order them. These were very runny. The flavor was good, but the texture of the yolk was like baby food. I wouldn't order again. Grilled cheese & soup - this was good. Very cheesy. I thought the glasses for the drinks were cute. I drank about 1/2 my coke and noticed the glass was dirty with specs of food, both inside the glass and outside. My cloth napkin also had stains. We are local, so if our friends wanted to come back, we might try it again, but this would not be my first choice.

The drinks are also dead on, they have a wide range of craft beer as well as a full bar. The service is great. The only thing I could think of the lands in the constructive arena is their live music. Sometimes they have open mic nights, other times they have a hired band or musician. The music is way, wayyy too loud. I don't mind live music, but it can't be so loud that you are unable to enjoy the company. Patrons should be able to talk to the person or the people next to them without being drowned out by the music. I recently came with friends for drinks and we were having a great time for the first 10 minutes we were there, but when the music started, we couldn't hear each other talk at all. So we just sat there quietly, drowned out to mediocre music. We all had another drink and then left. Might be a better idea to have the music loud enough to be slightly above background noise, but low enough where you can reasonably talk and listen to those around. Even ordering at the bar was tough. We would yell an order at the bartender, who would yell at back for confirmation. Often, exchanges in this dialogue included "what was that?"

Unfortunately, my experiences during the day have been the complete opposite, and both involved the same server, Tania B. The first incident occurred when I ordered my usual meal: the Steak Frites, cooked medium rare with the mushroom peppercorn gravy. When my meal arrived without mushrooms, I politely mentioned that it normally comes with them. Rather than checking with the kitchen or simply explaining the dish, Tania immediately insisted that it had never included mushrooms. I even asked if the recipe had recently changed because I had been there the previous week and it was served with mushrooms. She walked away, returned with a menu, tossed it on the table, and said, "It doesn't say mushrooms." Her tone and attitude were unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. Ironically, when I returned another evening and ordered the exact same dish, it was served with mushrooms. Today (7/31/26), I returned for lunch and, unfortunately, Tania was my server again. I ordered the Steak Frites medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium-well or well done. I politely explained that it wasn't cooked as ordered. She took the plate back, returned a few minutes later, and told me, "That's how it's going to be. Take it or leave it. The chef is the owner, and that's his message." I mentioned that last time she told me it didn't come with mushrooms and clearly there's mushrooms on my dish. She responds with, well sometime it does and sometimes it doesn't. I'm like so inconsistency is a thing here? She replies with if that's how you want to see it. I asked if I could speak with the owner directly, and she responded that he was "too busy making food" and refused to let me speak with him. My friend and I paid for the rest of our meal and were preparing to leave when I noticed another employee in the kitchen. I asked if he was the owner, and he explained that he wasn't and that the owner was actually downstairs. I simply asked if I could have Nick's phone number or email so I could share my concerns. The employee kindly said he would see what he could do. While we waited, Tania approached us multiple times in a confrontational manner instead of allowing us to wait peacefully. Rather than focusing on the guests seated at her bar, she seemed more interested in arguing with customers who had legitimate concerns. Throughout both visits, she displayed poor customer service, responded with attitude when simple requests were made (even something as basic as asking for a side of ranch seemed to annoy her), dismissed concerns instead of trying to resolve them, and escalated situations that could have been handled professionally in less than a minute. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant itself is excellent. The food is consistently great, and Mario provides some of the best service I've experienced anywhere. Unfortunately, one employee can dramatically impact an otherwise outstanding restaurant. If Tania is, in fact, a manager as I was told, it's concerning. A manager should be setting the standard for hospitality, resolving guest concerns professionally, and de-escalating situations--not arguing with customers or making them feel unwelcome. I truly hope ownership addresses this because Pour Company deserves better representation than what I experienced. I would love to continue supporting this restaurant, but I will be avoiding daytime visits as long as this level of service continues.

There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant which is often full. We usually park in the free multi-story parking garage just east of Harbor and Wilshire. It is a short one block walk to High Horse from there. As the name suggests, the décor is very western themed with lots of wood, cowboy hats and boots, wagon wheels, lassos, saddles, taxidermy, etc. Seating options include booths, high top tables, and at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm with food and drink specials. We started out with the pickle fries ($12) which were excellent. The pickle slice thickness to batter ratio was perfect, and they were served with a side of ranch. My first cocktail was The Smoking Gun (bacon washed Elijah Craig bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters, orange bitters, $18). It is smoked tableside and was a healthy pour. The bacon and maple flavor was very light, but it was very smooth. Her first cocktail was What Would Dolly Do? (Hornitos plata tequila, Los Sundays jalapeno tequila, Del Maguey peubla mezcal, simple syrup, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, $16). It was balanced with good jalapeno flavor and pineapple below with a light smokiness. For my entrée, I had the half slab of baby back rips ribs ($28) with coleslaw and fries. The plate arrived steaming hot and I was impressed with the portion of ribs. There were seven meaty ribs that were very flavorful and the BBQ sauce was good. The fries were crisp and seasoned, and the coleslaw was good too. She had the Up The Creek spice rubbed cedar-plank salmon ($26) with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The portion of salmon was good and it was flavorful. The asparagus was cooked well, but they were over salted. She also enjoyed the potatoes. My second cocktail was the Skinny Dipper (Tito's vodka, St. Germain, aloe vera water, watermelon, lime, $15). This drink was light and refreshing, with floral notes, and watermelon and lime standing out. It also had a great looking color. Her second cocktail was Ladies Love Outlaws (rose petal infused Ketel One vodka, St. Germain, simple syrup, grapefruit, lemon, rose wine, $16). This was also light with floral notes, and had good grapefruit flavor. It was very lively at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. We left a little after 8pm, and the place was packed as they have line dancing. There was a big crowd of at least twenty people dancing in front of the restaurant and having a great time. The service was good, and our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were great, and I think they were a pretty good value for the price.

He approached us by asking what's going on. We explained the situation and were told he cannot do anything for us. I was wanting any form of compensation for wasting my money on a photo booth in their bar. He continued to tell us that he doesn't own this photo booth machine, so he can't do anything for us. Yet, he can have his bouncers allow a man, who is clearly blacked out, into their bar. Then proceed to let that man roam around the bar as if he didn't just fall onto us. I brought up this point to the manger and he told me I was disrespecting him. We did not receive any form compensation nor an apology. I don't care what type of setting we were in, a manager needs to have some sort of customer service skills. Very clear management did not care about our safety.

The flavor was rich, the meat was incredibly tender, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the meal. One thing you shouldn't skip is trying the different BBQ sauces. They offer three varieties, and each brings something different to the table. My personal favorite was the original it complemented everything perfectly. You can tell a lot of thought went into making this place different. The BBQ itself, per usual, was fairly dry. The flavor is there, but I'd love to see the meats come out a little more tender and juicy. The SIDES though!!! BOMB. The corn and bean combo was easily my favorite. And then came the fresh-baked cookies... way better than Crumbl. I said what I said. I also really liked seeing the note from the owners, Steve and Tammy. They explain that they smoke their meats for 16 hours, make their sides, sauces and desserts from scratch, and don't use preservatives, additives, fillers or nitrites. Steve even puts his own number there and asks customers to reach out with suggestions. Whether everything comes out perfect or not, you have to respect owners willing to put their name and number right there and actually ask for feedback. And shoutout to the bartender! I forgot his name, but he usually works the late afternoon/night shift. That dude is awesome. Friendly, attentive and makes you want to hang around for another beer. Then there's Connie. She's apparently a regular. If you see her, you have two options: avoid eye contact... or clear your schedule. If you love conversation, you just found your new best friend. Overall: awesome atmosphere, bomb sides, ridiculous cookies, great bartender, and owners who clearly care about what they're building. Just get that BBQ a little juicier and we're in business!
