We spoke to a manager and they brought out our food immediately, it was sitting under the heat lamp and no one knew what table it was supposed to go to. The manager apologized once and never return to our table to check on us. The waitress who dropped our food at the table, never apologized and never returned. The food tasted good, I'm sure it was because we were very hungry when we walked into the restaurant and it took a total of 27 minutes to get our food. read more

I was actually sort of excited to find out that Albany had a sizzler. We came to Albany for a dog show at the Expo and thought on they had great salad bar and steaks fairly good. Please keep in mind this is NOT Ruth Chris. This is cheaper cuts but also reflects in price. Salad bar was on badly need of restocking. Only once associate was available and was hard for him to catch up. Steak was extremely over seasoned and salty. I believe our order was lost. Took over 30 min. No staff member checking in on us. I had to literally get up and hunt one down. I asked for new steak and this time no seasoning. 5 min and came out perfectly cooked. Tried to speak to the manager and he was abrupt and dismissive. My husband and I were heading towards the Burgerville, when he saw Sizzler and was excited to relive some childhood experiences that took place probably 40 years ago. Unfortunately, he was disappointed, as the Malibu chicken, which he loved as a youth, apparently had not kept up with his taste as an adult. I had an unlimited salad bar, which was not bad but nothing super special either. It wasn't hard to find things that were probably gluten-free. The service was friendly. One thing we weren't expecting was that you basically order the food as soon as you walk in, and then they bring it to you at your table. If you want to tip in cash, you can put it on your credit card and then they will hand you the cash to leave on your table. A number of loud and disjointed conversations, and a young person who felt compelled to stand next to the salad bar, dancing for an extended period of time, added to the surreal experience. read more

Sizzler review 3 stars Been many years since last time at a Sizzler. Some good aspects, but I'm disappointed. Wilted lettuce. Cheese bread is very good but greasy. Chicken wings are very good, the most popular item on the salad bar. Have real bacon bits. Salad items in the photo were what was expected for taste, good. Fake crab salad was good. Soups were chicken noodle and clam chowder. My favorite thing is to add real bacon crumbles to clam chowder. Cantaloupe is sweet. Missed on the honeydew. Black coffee is good. Sugar options are standard white, pink, and yellow. French fries have the same seasoning as the chicken wings and are crispy when hot. Gone is the self-serve ice cream, and now it has ice cream cups and a few topping options. The establishment is clean. Service was excellent. Lots of people are in the restaurant. For an entree and side salad bar, sadly, it is not worth it despite key items tasting good. read more

Sizzler was my favorite as so I absolutely had to stop when we passed this one on the way home from a road trip! Firstly, the front hostess was SO kind to everyone in the line including myself. Secondly, you could tell the waitress taking care of us was a well-experienced server; she was so attentive and sweet even though we only ordered the salad bar lol. She noticed we were charged for cheese toast when we shouldn't have been and refunded us immediately, and then brought us a ton of extra yummy cheese toast. The salad bar was exactly as I remembered and we enjoyed it thoroughly! The ice cream consistency was perfectly nostalgic too. From the sweet waitress and hostess, to the manager dropping by, seeing the quality check happening at the salad bar, and eavesdropping around me, I could tell the employees care a lot about this restaurant and the customers who eat here regularly. Insulted by the tall many with white hair and glasses at the ordering phase of our visit. Encountered a rude "red haired" male salad bar attendant. We came at 11:00 a.m. when they opened. We did not get to enjoy a completely set up soup and salad bar as it wasn't done being set up when we got there at opening. Though we were definitely charged full price for a less than full and completed soup and salad bar. The taco meat was very greasy and super salty...gross. The drinking cups were old and didn't appear to be clean. We will never go the the Albany, Oregon Sizzler again. It was a 90 minute drive to the location. I have always enjoyed the Malibu chicken, I went to celebrate my work anniversary. I will go to Eugene from now on as that Sizzler seems to be grateful and hospitable for their customers. read more

Overall, the place was good. Service could be better. I had to wait and wait and wait if I needed anything additional. His excuse was he is short handed and he is working three different positions. First of all I love sizzler, always have since I was a kid. However this was the worst experience I have ever had. My husband and I only get a date night once in a while and we chose here which I will never return. The waitress came over to my table looking at my order slip and said "oh you're not the table I am looking for, but I'lol take that for you." She took our ticket and walked away then 15 minutes later showed up with our toast. We were never given Utensils we had to go get them ourselves. Then we waited 45 minutes for ice cold food that I paid 80 dollars for. My Malibu chicken was ice cold and my husband's steak was lukewarm and his lobster was ice cold. When I tried looking for someone no one could be found. When I tried to waive a waitress down she looked at me and just walked past us. Then after we were done it took 30 minutes of us trying to waive someone down for someone to come over and get us to go boxes... We got the to go boxes faster than the cold food..... Ok as a place I went as a young boy with my mother and father as a family traditional once maybe twice a week dine out was a good. But recently I'm disappointed in the food that I ordered. Steak, baked potato and a salad. Well the salad was good and the bake potato was good and well the fat I didn't enjoy and when I mentioned it to the waitress she looked at me in a state of disbelief and very apologetic and a little sad but as she took it back and then brought it back at stated sorry. Went for lunch in Albany. We live in Dallas so was an exploration trip. I hadn't eaten at a sizzler in 10 years. Food was what I expected. Disappointed they did away with some of their lunch entries but has been 10 years. Toast is always a highlight. I got soup & salad and wife got 6oz steak with salad. She was very personable, answered all of questions, and was willing to get us our drinks if we didn't get them in a timely manner The food is not good. Our fried chicken was not cooked, and when sent it back the waiter did not seem concerned. The taco shells were stale. The green salad was ok, after you picked around all the brown pieces, and forget getting soup since they had no bowls or cups to put it in. Nothing has a label, so your pretty much guessing at what your getting. You have to hunt down someone, so they can refill everything and "freshen" it up. We used to eat at Sizzler in Portland, then in Salem when we moved there. We were sorry to see them close. Never knew quite why, as they were both decent places to eat for the money. We decided to drive to Albany to try that one. It's basically the same as the other Sizzlers we're. Decent food for a decent price. The staff were the same caliber or better than most places in the same price range. I find that since the pandemic anyone is lucky to even have employees for way more pay than they deserve. The Sizzlers of long ago have passed especially the establishment that was in Corvallis I have been to the Sizzler here in Albany Oregon and it has surpassed everything that I have thought of when I order a big steak that reminds me of when I used to live in eastern Oregon that's all they serve was nice thick rare steaks and big baked potatoes with everything on them and usually it was with mushrooms or usually corn a side dish, but this is just a fantastic place to go to take a friend When the Crowds aren't High. I know it's kid friendly and things like that I'm not a person that eats well around uncontrolled kids that's just my own opinion I think it is it is their parents responsibility to keep them controlled and at their seat.
