If was just perfect. James M provided wonderful service. My adult daughter and I enjoyed the artichoke app, Caesar salad, and gnocchi entree. Oof! All good and the relaxing patio music made for a nice dinner.

Otherwise, there is street parking nearby, especially as you get into the residential areas. They are a walk-in only restaurant, and if you're going during dinner hours, there is usually a wait. You can a text when it is your turn to be seated, and you are able to wander the neighborhood during the wait. It is close to Lake Harriet, so if you're looking for a way to kill time, you can walk towards the lake and sit on one of the benches! Once you're at Broder's, you're in for a treat! It is a sit-down restaurant that feels on the nicer end of casual. It'd be a good date night spot, but also is good for gathering with friends and family. They have plenty of good options, including some dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free items on their menu which is clearly labeled. The service is always friendly, and they're always attentive, even when it gets busy! They start you off with some free breads, and there is olive oil at the table which you can use with the bread. They have a good selection of wines, and some beer and non alcoholic beverages. If you like a sweet wine that tastes mostly like juice, I highly recommend their moscato d'asti! As for their food, they have so many good pastas, you can't really go wrong. They are able to accommodate some modifications! I think in the past, I've subbed for another pasta shape. I recently also ordered the Tagliarini di Locanda di Lupo without Proscuitto to be vegetarian-friendly! It was very cheesy and creamy, and truffle-forward, as expected! I had their Spaghetti Al Limone, which was nice and buttery and still felt light and fresh with the basil and lemon. I've been to Broder's several times throughout the years, and I enjoy it every time! I would recommend stopping!

I will start off by saying that service was amazing, and my server Lynn was very attentive in checking in on my partner and me intermittently. I also enjoyed the vibe as it was dark with a mystic atmosphere with the colorful lights. In terms of food, almost everything fell short. The fried maitake sandwich had an extremely big piece of mushroom which was all good, but there was so much breading to the point that it was too oily, and the beet ketchup was able to tone it down a bit. I enjoyed the taste of sunflower mayo and cashew ranch, which were present in the sandwich. The mac n cheese veggrolls had a weird taste that I couldn't identify, but it was a bit tangy, so I dipped them in the sauce and that helped greatly. The pumpkin cinnamon roll up had a pretty strong alcoholic flavor in an unpleasant manner, which might have been the result of vanilla. I couldn't identify the actual ingredients because the item on the menu just said "a sweet rolled focaccia w/ a drizzle" which was ambiguous. My partner and I enjoyed Hi! Quesadilla the most, and having salsa verde on the side helped greatly. The hazelnut cheese was an interesting experience and we liked it as well as an alternative option to eat the quesadillas with. Per my understanding, this establishment will close soon, which I am a bit sad about because I highly support vegan places, but I do think that the food, at least the items I had ordered, needs some improvement.

After a full day of thrifting, I decided it was time for dinner, and after passing this place for years, I finally decided to stop in. I was seated at a charming table for two. The interior had the vibe of a historic building, with brick, vaulted ceilings, and large windows. I ordered the Amatriciana from that day's specials menu along with the chocolate cherry martini. Typically I don't like sweet drinks, but this was fantastically balanced. As sweet as it was, it packed an equal punch. It felt decadent and sinfully delicious. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was well made, with bits of fatty, crispy pork adding a rich, well-developed flavor. I parked on one of the downtown streets and walked about a block to the restaurant.

Their cavatelli is ALWAYS my go to for dinner - it's saucy, savory, and so so yummy every time. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding is the best I've found in the cities! Rich and moist, with the whipped cream on top that balances it out because it's not too sweet. Service is always great here as well! This is a great place to go with your family, for a date, OR if you want to sit at the bar and have a drink and a meal. Parking can be tough in Minneapolis but there is street parking available.
